About: I love dogs. Many have been a part of my life, from big dogs like Buddha, a massive Rhodesian Ridgeback who enjoyed stopping to sniff daisies on our walks, to tiny creatures like Miss Ivy, a feisty eight-pound Chihuahua rescue who practically cleared out a local park of a rat infestation. Each required special attention of some sort—maybe emotional, due to previous abuse, or therapeutic, to treat ailments like arthritis or an ear infection. In turn, all these amazing creatures helped provide a never-ending stream of love and company in a world that is often harried and indifferent. I hope you’ll consider me someone who will care for your four-legged family member with love and respect. "I’m a semi-retired teacher who has greatly scaled back my time in the (virtual) classroom. I’m essentially swapping lesson plans for fun dog walks and belly rubs. It’s a great deal for all involved. My hours are flexible and can be adjusted to meet the needs of you and your canine family member." The four-legged family members I’ve had in my life have come with various needs and forms of care. From abused, abandoned adoptees to frisky dog sledders, each of them required patience, observation, learning, and tons of supportive love and attention. This is where communication with the dog parents is paramount.

About: I've had dogs my whole life ranging from a 105 pound Lab to a 9 pound Chihuahua. Family friends and acquaintances have relied on me time and time again to house sit and watch their dogs/cats. As a college student, I like to keep a structured schedule, making it easy to incorporate your pet's care into my daily routine. I have set blocks of time in the mornings, between classes, and in the evenings that I dedicate to feeding, walks, and check-ins. On weekends and lighter class days, I’m able to spend extra time on longer walks, playtime, or sitting stays. I stay organized and plan ahead, so pets always get consistent attention, exercise, and care. I prefer caring for pets in their own home because it keeps them comfortable, relaxed, and in a familiar routine. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely—feeding according to their schedule, refreshing water, providing potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special care they need.
