“Woody had a great time with Regina, the dogs all played well together and we got plenty of updates during his stay. She handled his anxieties well and took great care of him. Thank you!!”

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“breanna did a great job of looking after our 7 year old dog. she treated her like she was her own. i felt so comfortable leaving her with breanna - she kept us updated with pictures and updates every day. i would absolutely book with her again for our next trip out of town.”

“Brittany was very accommodating and thoughtful. I appreciated her willingness to ask questions to get to know all of Bailey's needs, and ensure a happy comfortable stay. I will definitely look to Brittany the next time I need to board Bailey.”

“Erin was great! We left our dog with her over a three-day weekend, and he felt completely comfortable. Erin was responsive, sent lots of updates, and even managed to get our dog to wear his shoes in the snow.”

“Johanna was absolutely excellent with my pup Mia. She kept me updated everyday by sending pictures and videos. Her dog Stella is very sweet and playful. She became to be a friend with my dog instantly. I enjoyed watching their play videos thanks to Johanne. We’ll definitely see Johanne again very soon.”

“Left our Cavapoo of 21 months old with Andrew & Karen for a first time away from home boarding for 7 days, 6 nights. They were wonderful with him showing care 'n cuddles immediately. Andrew provided updates & photos/videos daily which eased our concerns. Did everything they said they would following Quincey's routine. Slow socialization w/their dog Finn was nicely provided & slowly helped our dog get to know others. Walks together was great to see. Laid back and easy to work with as petsitters. Appreciated them both accepting our dog into their home as one of their own. Would definitely recommend them as petsitters & will be happy to book again in the future. Thanks again Andrew & Karen!”

“I have two geriatric dogs that require medicine. Ellyn took amazing care of my girls while I was away and gave them as much comfort and snuggles as they could want. She helped my old dogs take their medicine and made me feel as though they were loved!”

“Fantastic experience with Tracie. She kindly accommodated my last-minute booking for the holiday weekend, including being flexible for a meet and greet as well as drop off/pick up times. I received regular and detailed updates throughout my dog's stay. My dog had a blast during his stay and came home happy and tired. I plan to reach out to Tracie for future boarding.”

“Im sure Gus would have liked to go on vacation with us, but I'm pretty sure he would give Annettes house five stars too. He got all the love and attention that he desires and he came home a happy boy!”

“Had the best experience with Natasha - my doggies were well loved for their entire stay. I loved the photo and video updates, and while I missed my pups I could see that they were in the best hands and having so much fun. They had plenty of walks, playtime outside, and so much love and attention, which is exactly what I want for my doggies when I’m out of town. Looking forward to booking with Natasha again!”

“This was our first time leaving Bear with Tyler and he was amazing! We have always left our dogs in kennels when we left for vacation, but wanted to try using a dog sitter because Bear always came home exhausted and a little stressed. Luckily, we found Tyler! He was very welcoming and obviously loves dogs. After our meet a week before our vacation , I and my family felt completely at ease leaving Bear with Tyler. During our trip, Tyler sent regular updates and pictures showing how great Bear was doing. At no time were we worried or concerned. We would absolutely recommend Tyler to anyone looking to have their dog in a caring, relaxed, and active environment. We will absolutely be using Tyler in the future! Bear loved hanging with him!”

“Tara is so awesome! This was my first time leaving my dog with a sitter while I was out of the country and I couldn't have picked anyone better to leave her with. Tara kept me updated every day with pictures and text messages. Chloe gives her five stars :)”
“Adrienne went above and beyond for my fur babies, one puppy of about three months and a senior dog of 12 years with medications. Would Definitely book again!”

“We would like to give Ali 10 stars! She was the best possible caregiver for our nervous goofy dog. She sent dear photos and videos during our trip, and it was so sweet to hear how she spoke to Lucky. On top of all of the expert care, she was extremely gracious and flexible when I made a mistake with the booking dates. We feel so fortunate to have found Ali.”

“Cannot say enough good things about what great care our dog Lucy received in Victoria’s care!! We were nervous about leaving Lucy and Victoria took the time to send videos yo reassure us that Lucy was happy! We will definitely trust our Lucy to her again!”

“Geena is an absolute gift! She hosted our kitty for two back to back stays during a chaotic era of our lives and was FANTASTIC. Kitty had some medical stuff come up during her stay and Geena went above and beyond to communicate with us and make sure she had great care. We will absolutely rebook in the future and highly recommend!”

“My dog had a wonderful stay with Vivian. She made sure to send pics and updates during his stay. We will definitely book with her in the future. Thanks for watching Rusty!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Monroeville
This was our first time using Rover after our dog went on a hunger strike at a kennel. It was important to us to have a home environment with a fenced in yard like our dog is used to. Tara knew we were nervous and made sure to send us daily communication and photos and videos. Hank made new friends and made our vacation much more enjoyable.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
