“We felt confident leaving Willow with Jessica that she would be well taken care of and loved. Jessica kept us up to date with pictures and Willow looked the princess she believes she is. She definitely made herself at home. We will definitely use Jessica again when we go away. Robin Harvey”

“Sandy is a wonderful dog sitter and has a clear love and devotion to her client’s pups. She asks questions and genuinely wants to get to know each dog that stays with her. My dogs warmed up so quickly to her which is a testament to her caring nature. I am so happy I found her!”

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“Ellyn is awesome. Our dogs are so happy to go to her house and they come home happy and tired from all the fun they‘ve had spending time with her family.”

“Beatriz is amazing! My dogs loved her and the attention! She made sure they were safe and happy! I honestly am pleased. Much better than a pet hotel. I thought my one dog didn't like other dogs but turns put she loves them when I'm not present. I will use her in the future and always.”

“Johanna was absolutely excellent with my pup Mia. She kept me updated everyday by sending pictures and videos. Her dog Stella is very sweet and playful. She became to be a friend with my dog instantly. I enjoyed watching their play videos thanks to Johanne. We’ll definitely see Johanne again very soon.”

“Tamakia was very great with communication from the start. She gave my dog the attention he needed and sent updates and pics throughout his stay. He received plenty of outside time and was able to make himself at home during his stay.”

“Amanda and Jack were absolutely amazing! My girl, Onyx, had an issue with her elbow, and they handled the situation with incredible care, compassion, and professionalism. They kept me updated with photos throughout her stay, which gave me tremendous peace of mind, and they even took her on a nature hike so she could enjoy some time outdoors. It's clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. I highly recommend Amanda's services and wouldn't hesitate to trust them with Onyx again!”

“Coralee and her family took great care of Bear. Her dogs are very playful and friendly. It was so nice getting updates everyday and seeing how happy he was playing with them all day. I will definitely be calling Coralee next time we go out of town. I’m sure Bear will be very excited to go back!”

“Victoria is wonderful! We have used her a couple of times now and our dog has loved going to her. She sends so many pictures and videos and it gives me peace of mind knowing that my dog is in such good hands! I highly recommend her for any time you have to leave your fur baby behind for a trip. She treats them like they are her own.”

“Raeann was by far the best Rover we ever had. She took the time to meet our dog beforehand and was wonderful. She gave us updates with pictures very often and made us feel like we left our dog with an old friend. I'd recommend Raeann to any pet owner who wants a worry-free experience! We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Our dogs always have a great time when they stay with Valerie. They get tons of walks, playtime, and plenty of time to be couch potatoes. She is very good at sending updates and pictures and I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Nelia and Brett, along with the rest of their beautiful family, took amazing care of our dog! Their communication was excellent — They sent (at least) twice daily updates and pictures. Our dog was given lots of attention and exercise and was very happy during his stay in their home. We will certainly book with them again and we highly recommend!”

“Alexis and Kevin are wonderful!! They are so kind, flexible, and understanding. Olly absolutely loves spending time with Icy, Boi, and Bean! Alexis sends lots of pictures when we are away on vacation. Olly is looking forward to the next time he gets to stay with them! Thanks Alexis& Kevin :-)”

“Courtney is amazing. So sweet and understanding. She took such great care of my 2 dogs and treated them just like her own. One dog I thought was my problem child pup but she had no problem with him which is such a plus when going away. I will book with Courtney from now on. So happy to have found her. Thank you Courtney.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child, have over 20 years experience working with dogs. I’ve worked with puppies to senior dogs including ones with disabilities. I personally had a dog that lost her mobility due to a spinal cord injury but with hard work and consistency I was able to teach her to walk again. I work for myself from my house so I have plenty of time to help with your fur baby. I currently have one dog after our second one recently passed. Her and I go on two or three walks daily each over 2 miles. She would love to have a friend to play with again. I have a large back yard and a super pet friendly two year old puppy to keep your dog company. If need be I can crate your dog but highly unlikely it’ll ever be needed.
“This was our first time leaving Bear with Tyler and he was amazing! We have always left our dogs in kennels when we left for vacation, but wanted to try using a dog sitter because Bear always came home exhausted and a little stressed. Luckily, we found Tyler! He was very welcoming and obviously loves dogs. After our meet a week before our vacation , I and my family felt completely at ease leaving Bear with Tyler. During our trip, Tyler sent regular updates and pictures showing how great Bear was doing. At no time were we worried or concerned. We would absolutely recommend Tyler to anyone looking to have their dog in a caring, relaxed, and active environment. We will absolutely be using Tyler in the future! Bear loved hanging with him!”

Augusta watches our dog all the time!!!! She and her family is so welcoming and caring. They are apart of our family now. I wouldn’t trust any one else with our dog. You would no be disappointed. Thank you so very much!!!

Finn had another wonderful stay with Brittany! She’s the best and takes such good care of our big baby. She provides frequent updates with pictures and videos showing what a great time Finn is having. It makes for such a worry free vacation when we know he’s in good hands and treated like family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
