About: My love for animals is something I was born with, as a kid, I had all kinds of pets: dogs, cats, bunnies, rats, turtles, ducks... you name it! Taking care of animals and sharing my love with them is what I enjoy the most. I currently volunteer at two different animal sanctuaries and I'm also part of the Care Team at a dog rescue. This is something that is not only rewarding but it is also a great way to learn from animals and gain experience while doing something I love. I just recently lost Lola, my Pug-Lhasa apso mix, after she had an awesome long life by my side. With Lola, I learned a lot about taking care of senior dogs with different conditions, including mobility issues. Three years before I lost Yuyo, a rescue with some behavior issues we adopted, that little by little, with lots of patience and love became a playful and adventurer doggie that loved hiking and exploring, learning how to enjoy and live a full life. Because I miss Lola and Yuyo so much, and my love for them was so enormous, the animals at the sanctuaries and the doggies at the dog rescue, are still not enough to take all this love from my heart, so I want to share it with your pets too like if they were mine, while I give them the best care for your peace of mind. I currently have plenty of flexibility and will do my best to accommodate your request. I can do walks, visits and house-sitting during weekdays (except Mondays) and most of weekends when requested in advance I can take your dog for walks and/or play time at the area of your preference or my favorite places if that is ok with you. I can play with them at your house or mine during day care and I can take them out to potty as needed/requested.

If you are even remotely hesitant to leave the care of your pet with someone else, look no further than Dave. Your pup will be in excellent hands!”

About: What truly sets me apart in the world of pet sitting isn't just a love for animals – it's a deeply ingrained passion, backed by decades of experience and a genuine connection with every creature I care for. For over 25 years, animals have been an integral part of my life, and my pet sitting journey reflects this lifelong dedication. Unlike many newer or part-time sitters, my experience runs deep. In my 20s, I even took my passion a step further and owned my own pet sitting service, a venture made even stronger by collaborating with friends who were veterinary technicians. This early experience provided invaluable insights into animal health, behavior, and the importance of meticulous care. It wasn't just about feeding and walking; it was about understanding individual needs, recognizing subtle signs of discomfort, and providing a level of care that goes beyond the basics. My experience isn't limited to just dogs and cats. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of caring for a diverse range of beloved companions, including guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens, bearded dragons, and rabbits and even animals with special needs and disabilities. Even though my current lifestyle involves frequent travel, preventing me from having pets of my own, my obsession with animals remains as strong as ever. This is precisely why I'm so drawn to pet sitting – it allows me to fulfill that deep connection and provide the love and attention that every animal deserves. For my friends and family, I'm not just a pet sitter; I'm affectionately known as "Aunt Natalie." This isn't a title I bestowed upon myself; it's a testament to the genuine bond I forge with their furry, scaled, and feathered family members, and the love they so readily return. I come from a military family—my dad served in the armed forces—so I understand how unpredictable schedules can be. I'm proud to support military families and always try to stay flexible to accommodate deployments. My passion for animals permeates all aspects of my life. My hobbies are intrinsically linked to the animal kingdom. I am a regular visitor to the San Diego Zoo with my pass. I also attend local animal rescues. For fun and to further immerse myself in animal care, I've even sought out Airbnb experiences that allow me to help care for their animals, from farm animals to rescued pets. Choosing me as your pet sitter means choosing someone who offers: * Extensive and Proven Experience: Over 25 years of dedicated pet care, including owning and operating a pet sitting service. * Veterinarian technician insight: friends that are veterinarian technicians * Diverse Pet Knowledge: Comfortable and experienced with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, bearded dragons, hamsters, and likely more! * Genuine Love and Connection: The "Aunt Natalie" effect – pets instinctively sense my affection and receive personalized attention. * Reliability and Trustworthiness: Decades of trusted care for friends, family, and past clients. * Military Friendly Support: Understanding and accommodating the needs of military families. * A Deep-Rooted Passion: My life revolves around animals, ensuring your pets are in the hands of someone who truly cares. I understand that your pets are family, and when you entrust their care to someone, you deserve peace of mind knowing they are loved, safe, and well-cared for. With me, you're not just getting a pet sitter; you're gaining a dedicated animal enthusiast with a wealth of experience and a heart full of love for your furry, fluffy, and scaled companions. Let "Aunt Natalie" provide the exceptional care your beloved pets deserve. .While I don't currently have pets, my remote work and lack of childcare offer significant flexibility that would easily accommodate pet care into a daily or weekly routine. My schedule could readily be adjusted to include walks, feeding, and playtime without conflict with other obligations. Here's how I ensure the well-being of the animals in my care: In the Client's Home: * Following Detailed Instructions: The cornerstone of my care is meticulously following the owner's specific instructions regarding feeding schedules, amounts, types of food, medication administration (if applicable and non-medical, like hiding a pill in a treat), exercise routines, play preferences, and any specific behavioral quirks or needs. I will ask clarifying questions to ensure I fully understand their pet's routine. * Maintaining Routine: I strive to maintain the pet's familiar daily routine as much as possible to minimize stress and anxiety. This includes sticking to their usual feeding times, walk schedules, and playtime activities. * Providing Exercise and Play: Depending on the owner's instructions and the pet's needs, I will provide appropriate exercise, whether it's walks, playtime with toys, or simply engaging in gentle interaction. I will ensure the activities are safe and suitable for the pet's age and physical condition. * Ensuring a Safe Environment: Before each visit, I will quickly scan the environment for any potential hazards, such as loose wires, accessible cleaning supplies, or anything that could be harmful to the pet. I will ensure gates and doors are securely closed to prevent escapes. * Offering Comfort and Companionship: I understand that being alone can be stressful for pets. I will provide plenty of positive interaction, including petting, talking to them in a soothing voice, and offering companionship to help them feel secure and loved. * Maintaining Cleanliness: I will clean up after the pet, including scooping litter boxes, cleaning up any accidents, and ensuring food and water bowls are clean and filled. * Providing Updates and Communication: I will provide regular updates to the owner, including photos and descriptions of how their pet is doing. I will promptly communicate any concerns or deviations from the normal routine. * In My Home: * Creating a Safe and Comfortable Space: My home is pet-friendly. I will ensure the environment is clean, secure, and free from hazards. * Individualized Attention: I will provide each pet in my care with individualized attention, catering to their specific needs and personality. * Adherence to Owner Instructions: Just as in the client's home, I will strictly adhere to the owner's instructions regarding feeding, exercise, and any other specific care requirements. * Regular Exercise and Enrichment: I will provide regular exercise and mental stimulation through walks, playtime, and engaging activities appropriate for the pet. Important Note Regarding Medical Situations: While I am experienced in providing general pet care, I am not a medical professional and will not diagnose or treat any medical conditions. In the event of any concerning signs or symptoms (e.g., lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, visible injury), my priority will be to: * Immediately contact the pet owner. * Follow the owner's instructions, which may include contacting their veterinarian. * If the owner is unreachable and the situation appears urgent, I will contact a local emergency veterinary clinic as per our agreed-upon emergency protocol.
