I treat every dog like family. Pet care is a natural and joyful part of my daily routine. I make sure every pet receives the attention, comfort, and care they deserve, whether through walks, playtime, drop-in visits, or overnight companionship. While the extra income is certainly appreciated, what I value most is the opportunity to spend time with wonderful pets and give them the love, attention, and companionship they deserve. !Important! House sitting is designed for overnight care in your home and typically includes a 10–12 hour overnight stay, morning and evening walks and/or active playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and plenty of companionship. During the day, I generally check in every 6–8 hours (depending on the day of the week) to ensure your pet remains comfortable, happy, and well cared for. If your pet requires more frequent daytime visits or extended daytime supervision, please let me know in advance so we can determine whether my schedule is a good fit. If you only need care for a few daytime hours, please book a drop-in visit instead. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s, their safety and comfort always come first. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep things tidy. I also make sure pets are never left unsupervised in unfamiliar or unsafe situations. Building trust with both pets and their humans is at the heart of everything I do. And If it is gardening season, please ask me to tend your garden while you're away--I would love it! ;)

“I absolutely loved having Heather take care of our precious babies. We have a doodle and a kitten and both were well taken care off. Heather spent two nights at our house with both pets. Our dog immediately took to her and was very comfortable. Our kitten is a kitten and needed some time which is normal. Heather followed our provided instructions and was kind enough to keep us updated and available when we checked in on the pets. Heather also left a follow-up note behind stating how both pets did and kept the house as it was. It was very clear right at the get-go at our meet-and-greet that she was exceedingly competent at dog care thanks to her extensive history in dog rescue. She understood and followed all our instructions/requests with ease, such as with their diet since they needed to avoid gaining weight. She then went the extra mile by being extremely attentive to their eating habits, asking permission to alter meals so that they were eating better, which we really appreciated! Her attention to detail was impeccable. She also introduced new toys/treats for mental stimulation without causing them to gain weight (: Finally, she showed through plenty of pictures and updates how much love and attention the animals were getting! Ask me for references, and I’d be happy to give them to you. I have experience for caring for all sizes and ages of dogs, cats, bunnies, small birds, and some experience with horses. I do work full time. I can check on your fur baby's after work in the evenings around 8pm, but I am also completely free Friday's and Saturday's! I have reliable transportation. I can come to you and your fur child when you need a check in, potty break, food, water, a walk, or overnight stay on Thursday nights or Friday nights.
