About: I've been taking care of a few close friends dogs while they work since November 2025 and I have personally had my own canine familiars and family since 2010. I love spending time with all my dogs, going for walks, playing in the yards and parks when weather permits and most of all, giving them all the attention, lots of snuggling, cuddling and love. I don't do any dog training but am well experienced in how to handle dogs in different environments and situations. I am also a very clean and tidy individual who is willing to walk your dogs daily, clean up poop in your backyard (if you have one) and you can be assured I will keep your house spotless and clean as well. In past jobs, I have watered plants, gardens, lawns and made sure trash was taken out to the curbs on pick up days for no added charge. As for me and my personal life, I am a part time private mentor for individuals seeking change, men in recovery, men that are homeless and men that suffer mental health disorders. I've worked in several recovery homes for non-profits as an onsite house manager where my dog Angelo, at the time, was an integral part of many of the clients and the population we served in the program houses daily life, enrichment activities and mental health journeys. After loosing my beloved Angelo in January 2025 to lymphoma, I felt a new calling in my heart to help others with their dogs needs, give them peace of mind and trust when they are away for work, self care days or vacation. I look forward to meeting you and your fur family members soon! I have plenty of time to spend with any dogs I'm sitting for or around through the month and week. I am totally open in my schedule as I do not work a regular 9-5 job life. I try to stick to any routine that the clients request based on established routines with each dog and their person(s). I personally like to get up and go for morning, mid-day and evening walks with all my dogs I'm around if they prefer being active (not very many say no, lol). If they are more of a couch potato or have an indoor personality, I tailor our routine to activities and attention within the house. I always provide space upon meeting new dogs to let them move and get comfortable at their pace. I am a very quiet and passive fella that provides a positive safe space at all times to the best of my ability daily, its just my nature! So, its always a "win win" to me! I have yet to have any of the dogs I've been around not warm up to me.
“Emma is a great dog sitter. She was punctual, kept me well informed throughout, and regularly sent pictures and updates, which gave me real peace of mind. She also left the house clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Madison was communicative and was caring to my 2 dogs and needy cat while I was away on a trip. I got photo updates and the house was also in great clean condition when I came home :)”
“Allyson stayed at our house for a week and watched our dog cam. She was beyond amazing at taking care of Cam and went above and beyond washing the sheets in the house before she left. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs a dog sitter!”

“Susan and Ian were lovely and took great care of my 4 cats while I was out of town for a few days. They both checked on the kitties and sent lots of pictures of them being loved on. I felt very comfortable being away which was nice because I was nervous about leaving them! I’ll definitely be booking with them again in the future :)”

“Cora took such good care of my dog while I was away for the weekend. She was very responsive and good at communicating. She kept my home spotless, I would definitely recommend!”

“This was our second time booking with Kelsea for a 10-day sit, and she did amazing again! She pulled all the stops taking care of our dog who had a minor illness, including making a sweet potato, carrot, and peanut mash for he and his sister. She sent plenty of photos of them cuddling with her, so there was no doubt that they were ok without us there! We came back to a perfect house, too. Thank you, Kelsea!!!”

“I am extremely happy with my pet-sitting experience with Donita! She came by the house a couple times before my trip to meet my 2 Westie dogs and they all took to each other from the start. I originally booked Donita for 7 days which turned into 11 days and she extended her visit to accommodate me. I received daily updates and pictures, my girls had too much fun with her! She left my home clean and in perfect condition! I am VERY pleased and would hire Donita again in a heartbeat! Thank you from Kay, Mia and Molly!”

“Wendi did a wonderful job taking care of Oliver, our 12 year old orange kitty. She shared many photos and provided lots of good communication during her stay. Our home was clean and organized when we returned home from our trip. I highly recommend her if you need a caring and reliable pet sitter.”

“I cannot recommend Marc enough! Leaving our pets is always stressful, but Marc took such incredible care of them that it felt like they were on vacation too. They were attentive to our pets’ specific routines and sent the best daily photo updates, which allowed me to completely relax on our trip. I will definitely be using them again!”

“Our goofy and sensitive pup found a true friend in Shannon during her week-long stay. Shannon’s professionalism and earnest enthusiasm for critter care put our minds at ease during the longer stay, and her regular updates reassured us that our guy was in great hands and hanging easy! Additionally, she took excellent care of our home m. So dang thankful for all of her support and truly can’t recommend Shannon enough and will definitely use her again!”

“Alex took great care of Myra and Clifford this past weekend! They kept us updated with regular check-ins, sent lots of photos, and followed all of our care instructions. I was especially nervous because Clifford can be reactive around other dogs, but Alex handled everything so well and gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear our pups were in great hands, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kinton
Kylie is great! Major loves her. She does a lot of extras as well as watching Major, picking up our mail, putting out trash cans, cooking Major’s food, we leave for at least a week at a time, and our home always looks great when we get home. Kylie is very reliable. I give her five stars!

This is the second time Mia has stayed in our home to watch our anxious dog. She follows all instructions and keeps our home in great condition. Mia even runs home on her lunch break to let my dog out. She is reliable and provides regular updates. I would not hesitate to hire her again.

Allyson was amazing! She sent pics of our pups every day, which we loved! She stayed at our place for 7 nights and while I will say we were a little nervous since it was our first time using Rover for overnight stays, we had nothing to worry about, she was awesome. She even took the sheets of our bed and took the trash out right before she left the last day. Would definitely use her again!! 6 stars from us!

Jenn was such a wonderful person to sit with our kittos and give them the best care while we were gone. She made them the cutest little box house for them to play in and sent tons of photos throughout our trip. She was an excellent communicator and left our house is fantastic condition.

Zoe did a wonderful job pet sitting for my 2 little pups. She did everything I asked her even though feeding my senior pup was complicated. Both dogs were happy & healthy when I got home and the house was clean too! She was good with them, they enjoyed her calm and gentle attention. She also sent frequent updates and pictures too. I would recommend Zoe for any dog care needs.

I cannot recommend Tanja enough! We needed someone to watch our two cats and dog for 4 days, and she went above and beyond.Tanja followed all our care instructions, kept the house immaculate, and sent photo updates every day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our animals were in such capable and loving hands. We will absolutely be booking with her again!

Bridget is the absolute best! She was very communicative, ensuring we got updates and pictures of our pups and cat while we were away, and we could tell they all felt very loved. It was the first time our cat wasn’t mad at us when we returned home — a true sign he felt taken care of. Bridget also helped manage a few home needs while we were away, brought new toys and treats to our pups, and left the house clean and well taken care of when we got back home. We highly recommend Bridget!

Skylene did an amazing job taking care of our dog and our house. Our dog takes some time getting warmed up, and Skylene was patient and calm with her. We came back from a week long trip over Christmas and Rigby was well taken care of and our house was spotless. She communicated when needed and even brought in packages and flipped a breaker for us! We will certainly use her in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Kinton on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,680 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kinton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kinton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kinton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kinton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
