About: I’m an undergraduate environmental science student at Portland State. I recently worked as a student research technician, handling and tracking frogs and documenting their habitats. My family has had our fair share of dogs and cats over the years, which contributed to my love for animals and the outdoors. I’ve cared for the pets and houses of friends and family since 2023, checking in throughout the day to provide meals and quality playtime. --- I enjoy figuring out how to build a true connection with animals, some more unique than others. My family has two cats with very distinct personalities: Evy, our affectionate 13 year old, and Sophie, our 2 year old feisty tortie. We rescued Sophie as a 3 week old kitten, and she began experiencing seizures at just 9 weeks old. This was a scary and confusing time, involving many emergency vet visits. She is now healthy and happy, on a strict schedule requiring medicine by mouth every 12 hours. Each pet I’ve been lucky to have has taught me something, and I’ve had to learn from her the most. She is a high maintenance kitty who doesn’t like pets. She shows her affection in unconventional ways, and I wouldn’t have it any other way :-) Please message me if you're curious about booking me on a date I have marked as unavailable. Though I've marked weekdays starting in late September as unavailable for the time being due to classes starting, I may still be able to provide services. My goal is to spend quality time with your pet(s) and work with you to figure out a schedule that works best for them. I'm available for walks, overnight stays, and/or check-ins throughout the day depending on their needs. I'm most compatible with pets who can be left alone for 4-8 hours, as I have personal responsibilities and may need to walk a dog or check in with someone else's pets (or my own!). --- My current nightly rates are intended for 12 hour care (ex: 6 PM to 6 AM, 8 PM to 8 AM, etc.) and 2-4 drop in visits throughout the day, depending on your need and my availability. While most have been considered low maintenance, I've gained much more intensive experience with my special needs cat Sophie. --- I appreciate schedules and/or written instructions so I can better adapt to your pet's needs, especially if they require medications or atypical care.

About: We honor the spaces of pets and allow them the time to become comfortable. We always assure they feel safe, and know we are a guest in their space or they are an honored guest in our family home. We love spending time with animals and have been fortunate to provide care to friends animals overnight and for daily care. My husband and I work full-time, on opposite schedules. We are available evenings during the week and weekends. During the week, we are more than happy to board pets as needed. I work from home, and he works only a few days a week. We have a fenced yard and we live in a dog lover neighborhood. We take our friends dogs on walks often, as needed. We have cared for family and friends dogs overnight and they all enjoyed their time at our home. We tend to spoil pets (based on parents discretion of course) while they are with us. Our home is their home, and we never want a pet to feel unsafe or unhappy while spending time with our family. Our family will care for them like our own.

Kylie is an incredible house and dog sitter. We were nervous leaving our anxious and skittish Australian Shepherd mix for 5 days and Kylie made us feel at ease, sent photos, and left our house spotless. She works so well with rescue dogs- they feed off of her calm and confident demeanor. This is the second time Mia has stayed in our home to watch our anxious dog. She follows all instructions and keeps our home in great condition. Mia even runs home on her lunch break to let my dog out. She is reliable and provides regular updates. I would not hesitate to hire her again.

Bridget is the absolute best! She was very communicative, ensuring we got updates and pictures of our pups and cat while we were away, and we could tell they all felt very loved.
