About Mia D.
Communication

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. With my background as a veterinary assistant, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress or illness and to handle pets calmly and confidently in any situation. In your home, I follow your pet’s normal routines to keep them comfortable and secure, and I always make sure doors, gates, and enclosures are properly closed. I keep a clean, calm environment and treat every home and animal with the same care and respect I’d want for my own.
Information Mia D. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their daily routine and personality. Please let me know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or special care instructions. It’s also helpful to know their feeding schedule, favorite activities, comfort items, and how they usually behave around new people or other animals. For cats, I appreciate details about litter box preferences and hiding spots; for dogs, I like to know walking routines and any leash or reactivity concerns. The more I know about your pet’s habits and needs, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about keeping your pet happy, active, and comfortable. For dogs, that might mean morning walks, playtime in the yard or park, and plenty of cuddles and praise throughout the day. Cats get lots of interactive play with toys, gentle brushing, and cozy companionship — whatever makes them feel most at ease. I follow your pet’s normal feeding and care routine closely. Every pet’s day is customized to their personality and needs.

Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Mia, a veterinary assistant and lifelong animal lover with over 5 years of personal and professional pet and house sitting experience. I have 1 dog, 1 cat, and 2 guinea pigs of my own and I’ve cared for just about every kind of companion — dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and more — and I’m passionate about providing high-quality care as if your pets were my own. My background in veterinary medicine means I’m skilled in safely handling animals of all temperaments, administering medications, and recognizing subtle signs of stress or illness. I’m also pet CPR certified for your peace of mind. Whether your pet needs daily walks, playtime, special attention, or just some loving company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away. I also offer nail trims for a small additional fee. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets and your home — you can count on me for reliability, communication, and genuine compassion. I can’t wait to meet your furry, or scaly family members!

Reviews

Mia is an amazing caregiver, we’re so lucky to have found her. We had a last minute need and she had no problem stepping in on short notice. Our dog was recovering from major surgery, and her veterinary experience was a life saver. We’ll definitely engage her services again and would strongly recommend the same to anyone!

Very attentive and strong communication! All the fur babies loved Mia! Highly recommend!

WOW! I can’t say thank you to Mia enough! Always doing rover can be a little scary cause you asking a stranger to be in your house with your favorite animal but she was perfect and eased all concern. She took perfect care of graham for over 2 weeks at our place and she’s absolutely delightful to work with! We will be used Mia for all our doggie needs! She’s amazing. Thank you Mia!!!

Mia was great! She was timely, communicative, and took great care of our two dogs, one of which needs twice daily medication. I highly recommend her!
