“If we could choose 10 stars Natalie would get them. She is the absolutely best person to care for our high-maintenance Frenchie but more importantly, she and her partner work tirelessly to create not only a safe but a fun environment for their charges. Larceny is so comfortable in their home that we are now going to place her in Natalie’s daycare. We cannot say it enough. NATALIE IS THE GREATEST!!!!!”

“Thank you so much for caring for Roxie while we were away traveling. I highly recommend Erick - he is super professional, kind and provides frequent updates. I would definitely have Roxie stay with Erick again.”

“words cannot express how grateful we are of the care and love Mayra and her family gave to silla while we were away. Silla is an elderly dog, who is now slow and needs love and patience. She got that and much more. Mayra is my #1 choice for dog sitting.”

“Thank you for taking such good care of our Chloe!! We know she is in good hands with such a nice person & dog lover like you Adrian. Also thanks for sending those adorable pics of her stay 😀😀”

“It was my first time leaving Pablo with someone, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Hannah was wonderful with him; he’s a bit needy, but she understood him right away and kept me updated throughout. I’ll definitely be leaving him in her care again. Thank you, Hannah!”

About: My tripawd doggie and my senior cat fill my heart with love, but there’s more to go around! I have had pets all my life and never turned down a request to assist a friend with a drop in visit, a walk or a play date with my dog. I take tug of war seriously 🫡 and can accommodate even the longest of walks needed. I love dog parks, so as long as the owner is also into them, I will happily and responsibly include them in a routine. For cats, I have experience with senior cats in dare conditions (including administering IV, pill swallowing and showering with love, pets and scritches). I’m not afraid of cleaning up a floor mess and brushing cats in need of it. I currently work remotely in South Beach. I have great flexibility in the afternoon and evenings and often take my own dog to the beach, super close to me. I have a very chill cat that can be isolated in a bedroom if necessary. My dog LOVES to play with other dogs and I will happily throw a blanket on the couch and let them get tired!
“She is truly the best! I was blown away by how well she cared for my dog. The photos and videos she sent throughout the day showed not only how attentive she was, but also how comfortable Jett 🐾 felt with her. My dog and I are extremely close, and I could tell from his body language alone that he was relaxed, happy, and in great hands. As someone who’s very budget-conscious, it made me even happier to find someone this amazing at a price I can actually afford. She is absolutely our go-to dog sitter from now on. Any dog parent would be lucky to book her. Because of her, I was able to enjoy a completely stress-free trip.”

“Amanda treated my sweet old dogs so well. I got very reassuring updates and when I picked them up, I could tell they absolutely love her. We will definitely book her again !”

“I’m so happy I found Jessie on Rover! She took wonderful care of my dog Pikachu while I was away with my family and sent me photos and videos every day, which gave me such peace of mind. He had plenty of space to play in her backyard and came home happy and relaxed — like he had his own little vacation too! Thank you, Jessie, for being so caring, responsible, and attentive. I’ll definitely trust you with Pikachu again! ❤️🐾”

“Couldn’t be happier to work with Jessica on my first Rover booking! Her thoughtfulness, attentiveness, and flexibility made me feel at ease when giving away my pet for the first time. Booked our next stay with her right away.”

“Aby and Jonathan were great with pepper, even though pepper was a bit temperamental. They were patient with her, and I think she had a good time staying with them. They kept me informed with pictures and texts, which i really appreciated. I look forward to using them to watch pepper again.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and attentive hands with Julia. I came back from my trip to a happy dog! Cooper and Julia really bonded and Cooper was in total adoration of her . I would gladly book again and highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pet.”

“Olivia was great! Very easy to communicate with, dependable, and sent several photos/videos of my dog during his stay with her. My dog loved staying with her!”

“Jonathan is the best. He and his family took great care of our little fur ball and made sure to keep us updated with photos throughout his stay. Cooper was very happy and well taken care of. Everything you could hope for!”

“Mariya was great with Clementine. Mariya was kind and caring for Clementine since she is older and wanted tons of love and attention. Mariya made it easy for us to enjoy our vacation knowing Clementine was safe and well cared for.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats for most of my life, so taking care of animals has always been a very natural part of my everyday life. I have over 15 years of personal experience caring for pets, and I truly treat them like family. I also have experience caring for my own disabled little dog, which has taught me a completely different level of patience, responsibility and love. Her care includes helping her go to the bathroom manually and keeping her bladder empty, changing and cleaning diapers, keeping her clean and comfortable, waking up during the night when she needs me, and making sure she always feels safe and cared for. Because of her, I’m very comfortable with pets who need a little extra attention, patience or a more hands-on routine. I currently work from home, so if your dog stays with me, I’ll be around throughout the day to give them plenty of attention, cuddles, potty breaks and company. I also have a dog park very close to my apartment, so I can take them out for walks, fresh air and playtime depending on what they’re used to and what you’re comfortable with. My home is very pet-friendly. Dogs are welcome on my couch and furniture, and yes, they can absolutely sleep in my bed! 😂 If we’re doing an overnight stay and your dog is used to sleeping with you, they can sleep with me too. If they prefer their own bed or crate, I’ll always follow their normal routine. I want them to feel as comfortable and at home as possible while you’re away. I’m experienced with feeding routines, walks, playtime, basic daily care, cleaning up after pets and, most importantly, giving them lots of love and attention. For now, I’m only accepting small dogs so I can make sure every dog I care for is a good fit for my home and gets the attention they deserve. I also speak both English and Spanish. 🇺🇸🇨🇴 I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so my goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re being cared for by someone who genuinely loves animals. I’ll treat your baby the same way I would want someone to treat mine. 🐾🤍 I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be present with your pup throughout the day. I can easily accommodate potty breaks, walks, feeding schedules, playtime and lots of attention and cuddles in between. Since I’m home most of the day, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods of time, and I’m happy to adjust my routine to what they’re used to at home. 🐾 I want every dog staying with me to feel safe, comfortable and at home. I live in an apartment and only accept small dogs, so I’m able to give them plenty of individual attention. I’ll always follow your dog’s normal feeding, potty, walking and sleeping routine as closely as possible. Pets are welcome on my furniture and bed, and I’m happy to have them sleep with me if that’s what they’re used to. If they prefer their own bed or crate, that’s perfectly fine too! I also have a dog park very close to my apartment for walks and outdoor time, and I’ll always follow your preferences when it comes to interacting with other dogs. I know every dog has their own personality, habits and little quirks, so I’ll always take the time to learn what makes your baby feel safest and happiest. 🤍🐾

We had another stay with Julia, and Jefferson was very excited about it. He loves staying with Julia and she takes great care of him and takes him on fun outings to the beach and the park and he gets all the love he would be getting from us while we are away. I cannot recommend Julia enough! If you are looking for someone that is kind, dependable, caring, and will treat your dog as you would, look no further and book with Julia!!

Angelina was amazing with Milo!!She was very kind, communicative, and attentive to him throughout his stay. I felt completely comfortable leaving Milo in her care, and she kept me updated while making sure he was happy and well cared for. Milo had a great time with her, and I would absolutely trust Angelina to care for him again. Highly recommend her!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of our Maltese Chanel. I was a little worried before leaving her because Chanel usually needs some time to warm up to new people and other dogs. She’s a bit shy at first, so I wasn’t sure how she would do. But Yana made everything so easy. You can immediately see how much she loves animals and how genuinely she cares for them. She treats every dog like it’s her own. To our surprise, Chanel absolutely fell in love with Yana! Every time we dropped her off, she was happy and excited, and that meant everything to us. Knowing that our little girl felt safe, comfortable, and loved gave us complete peace of mind. It’s not easy to find someone you can fully trust with your pet, but Yana is definitely one of those people. We are so grateful for the care she gave Chanel, and we will absolutely be coming back. If you’re looking for someone to watch your dog, we can’t recommend Yana enough!

Adrian took such good care of Bailey! It can always be tough to leave your baby with someone for a long trip, but Adrian was so great. He sent lots of updates and photos, and she had the best stay while we were out of town. I will definitely reach out to Adrian to watch Bailey again for any future travel.

Audrey is probably the most loving person in this world. I am beyond words of how well Rayo was treated and taken care off these days. I got daily pictures, videos and messages about how he was feeling and being treated. And when I came to pick him up, he was happy to see me at first and then went into hiding so he could stay longer. That is the best thing I could have wished for. For him to feel so loved and cared he would want to stay longer. I am 100% recommending Audrey to everyone and will be sending Rayo to her house for as long as she takes us. Can’t wait for their next playdate.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
