About: My tripawd doggie and my senior cat fill my heart with love, but there’s more to go around! I have had pets all my life and never turned down a request to assist a friend with a drop in visit, a walk or a play date with my dog. I take tug of war seriously 🫡 and can accommodate even the longest of walks needed. I love dog parks, so as long as the owner is also into them, I will happily and responsibly include them in a routine. For cats, I have experience with senior cats in dare conditions (including administering IV, pill swallowing and showering with love, pets and scritches). I’m not afraid of cleaning up a floor mess and brushing cats in need of it. I currently work remotely in South Beach. I have great flexibility in the afternoon and evenings and often take my own dog to the beach, super close to me. I have a very chill cat that can be isolated in a bedroom if necessary. My dog LOVES to play with other dogs and I will happily throw a blanket on the couch and let them get tired!
“Nancy was amazing! I love that she sent so many pics. Especially of one of my cats playing. It really made me feel at ease while traveling. Loved knowing my babies were so well cared for. I highly recommend Nancy!”

About: I grew up on a farm in upstate NY and have been involved in my local animal shelter since I was a kid. I’ve fostered dozens of pets including kittens and puppies, I’ve rescued feral cats, and worked on a horse farm. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for years. I WFH Fridays and have weekends and evenings off! I am open to house sitting, dog walking, and drop in care for your pets. Let me know what you need! I don’t have any of my own pets in Miami but am willing to travel to your home to pick up or care for your pets.
“Would give 6 stars if we could. Could not have found anyone better than Milena. Great communication, very punctual, reliable, caring and attentive. We have 2 cats, 1 very friendly and 1 very shy. Both got along with her from the first day. She stopped by to return the keys and they came running when they heard her voice. We hope she’s available next time we travel!”

“Nikki is great and very professional. She did a drop-in on my cats to make sure they didn’t destroy anything and give give them some food/water. I’ll for sure book service with Nikki in the future when I am next out of town.”

“Aria is the gold standard. She looked after our small tabby cat for over a week and provided great notes, changed her water daily with filtered water, monitored and changed her litter box, played with her with her favorite toys and is just an overall nice and friendly person. I highly recommend her.”

“Alan H. Was wonderful with my kitties. I appreciated the feedback given after every visit. He gave my older cat her pills without problem twice a day. He responded to my messages or calls. I felt secure while away with my kitties in his hands. I recommend him highly.”

About: I have been watching friends and family members cats and dogs while they travel for the past few years. I have flexibility with my job and would love to care for some animals. I work a 9-5 job at home which allows me flexibility during the days and my location of working. I am generally home on weekends unless traveling. I like to spend time with animals, if they prefer this! I am able to care for them and show them love in whatever way they need.
“Lisa was great! I felt very comfortable leaving my 2 cats in her care. She sent photos and updates of them at every visit. I recommend this sitter and would book her again in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of my friend’s dogs and love spending time bonding with animals and showing them lots of love 24/7 around the clock. I volunteer and a kitten sanctuary four days a week. I’m currently volunteering and teaching pickleball lessons so my schedule is wide open to take care of your kitties and pups and give them all the love they need . I’m taking care of kittens and older cats on a daily basis which brings me a lot of joy. I would ensure pet parents that I would maintain their pet’s routine, ensure their safety, and treat their home with respect. I’d follow the owners specific instructions regarding feeding walking and medications to minimize any anxiety. I would do my best to keep the pets company with plenty of cuddles and playtime and provide updates to give the owners peace of mind. I would follow all the house rules and be respectful. I would care for your babies as if they were my own. Long walks and plenty of attention. I would send fun photos every day. I would supervise all the pets to make sure they are always safe.
“Zoe is the absolute best!!! Karma absolutely loves her and it makes me so happy knowing he is with her. She sends so many photos and takes the best care of him. I can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“Yoslin was excellent! She was very punctual and attentive looking after our cats. She communicated with us during each visit and shared photos and videos of them playing and enjoying treats. We would definitely hire her again in the future.”

About: I treat every pet like family. I know what it means to love and to lose, and that experience shaped how carefully I care for the ones still here. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of time to focus on pet care, playtime, and companionship. I enjoy long walks in nature and taking the time to understand each pet’s unique personality and routine. I care for every pet with patience, presence, and respect. I live in a quiet, cozy one-bedroom apartment with two cats. There is no balcony, and the space is calm and secure. For dogs, there is a designated dog park in my building. I always follow pet parents’ instructions closely to ensure pets feel safe and comfortable.
“I had a great experience with Carolane. She is a very kind person and was wonderful with my animals. It was a huge relief to know they were in such good hands while I was away. I would definitely hire her again!”

About: Who hasn’t loved dogs since childhood? I sure have! From having cats, dogs, birds and turtles while growing up, to my current dog Maggie Waggie, I’ve always loved and connected to each pet. I’m attentive to their behavior, needs, and the little cues they give us when they need to say something. I’m great at grooming, trimming nails, cleaning teeth and treating small injuries and blisters. If your dog needs a spa day, from boarding to a bath, Pupper Manor is your spot! I’m also fairly descent at basic dog training, enough to make sure me and my pets have a common language to live by each day. It’s best if your dog knows the following commands: come, sit and no. If they don’t, please make sure to let me know. I give each pet I meet love and attention, and caring for pets is my favorite activity in the world! IMPORTANT: please send vaccination records with your request or add them to your pets profile as a picture. Requests or profiles without vaccination records will not be considered. Pickups are available for a fee for those in South Beach only. I’m available for boarding almost any day of the week. I’m usually home full time and the place is perfect for dogs! I can easily care for them and there’s plenty of room for them to feel completely comfortable if they need to be separated. I provide boarding for small and medium dogs. There’s different rooms, pens and spaces if they need to be separated. I’m able to provide frequent yard access. I’m able to administer most medicines and provide basic grooming if necessary. I clean the floors with Dawn dish soap, water and white vinegar only to avoid artificial fragrances and anything that may harm our pets in any way. I do not board cats or birds. For the safety of my dog, I do not board or day care bulldogs or frenchies because they tend to lunge with great strength and may cause harm.
About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for pets with health needs; I have helped dogs and cats recover from serious illnesses by carefully administering veterinarian-prescribed medications and giving them round-the-clock love and attention. I work from home and am always here, which allows me to provide dedicated, personalized care.I do this work simply because I love animals, and while the extra income is always welcome, it is not my primary source of income. In the past, I used to host pets from multiple families at once. However, some time ago, I decided to switch to hosting only one family at a time to prioritize maximum safety, peace of mind, and to avoid any issues. Of course, if you have multiple pets that live together, I am more than happy to welcome them all! My work is currently late in the morning so I can play with your pets from the mornings and in the afternoon too. Also weekends I allow and help them integrate into the family and make them feel at home. giving them the attention they need but also their space

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Miami Beach
Alan was an amazing help for me while away on a week trip. He checked on my two cats, doing small tasks for their care and interacting with them to assure their human needs. He made my time away worry free. I am very grateful for that. Will happily use his help in the future again.

Eva was amazing with my 2 cats! She very quickly got to know them and put them at ease, shared lots of updates, was very good with communication, and followed the care instructions perfectly. (One of our cats takes meds daily) The most seamless experience on Rover we've had so far!

At 2am I downloaded Rover after realizing I never checked my cats automated feeder before I left town. I requested Fabiana for her to check on my cat that morning and she accepted my request by 7am on Xmas Eve. She was super polite and professional. I would use her again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Miami Beach. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
