“We heavily rely on Sam’s support afforded to Athena, which has ranged from walks to/from dog care and house siting in our place. Sam is a pleasant detail oriented, exceptional communicator that our dog enjoys hanging out.”

“So amazing! She gave me daily updates when watching my cat for several days. Responded so quickly as I was in a pinch before a trip. Carbon really warmed up to her which is a big deal given he is afraid of everything.”

“Aria is a fantastic cat sitter. She communicated well, sent lots of photos and took very good care of my cat. She went above and beyond to give her attention and take care of her.”

“Jennifer is amazing! She’s super kind to Pretzel, very professional, punctual, friendly and communicative. Pretzel starts off a little shy and she was patient with him. She goes above and beyond for your fur baby.”

“So incredibly sweet and responsive! We are so grateful for her being able and willing to take care of our fur babies! Our little one is incredibly shy with new people and she was able to work with him so well. Super appreciative!”

“Stephanie was a great sitter for my two cats, including one who requires medication twice a day. She was reliable and I could tell my cats were very comfortable with her by the photos and how relaxed they were when I came home. I plan to request Stephanie again and highly recommend her!”

About: Hello! My name is Cristina :) I’m a life long pet lover who currently has a pet snake, while living with my mom and her 3 French Bulldogs. Growing up, I always had a pet, or three hehe. I’ve cared for over 15 cats in my lifetime and come from a long line of crazy cat ladies. Ive also had a fair share of dogs in my life. Growing up I had a quirky schnauzer and a very intelligent German Shepard. More recently, I cared for my soul dog, a very stubborn but extremely loving Rottweiler. I’m also very familiar with the temperament of Dachshunds because my father has cared for two. This experience has left me with loads of knowledge and experience on how to handle high-energy, reactive, and even elder dogs. All in all, I’ve become familiar in various types of dog breeds and I’ve found one thing to be certain. They all need love and play time. When you’re a bit too busy, or are going out of town for whatever reason I hope to be the eyes, ears, and scritches your little fur-ball needs when you’re away. Let’s discuss further how I can help you your little baby in my messages! :D Currently, I go to school, and do have a part time job. However, I do not take night shifts at my job unless absolutely necessary, so I am able to visit anytime before 8am after 5pm on most days. However this is subject to change. Please contact me for further information. Although I do not take home visits, I am very familiar with crate training and the importance of a leash. I will NEVER walk your pet without a leash, and know how slick some dogs and cats can be when entering and exiting a home. I also believe in the importance of keeping a structured and routine diet, so I will NEVER feed your pet anything you don’t supply, or deem safe. Please contact me so we can further discuss your pets needs, and what you do to keep them safe :)
About: Hello my name is Pedro, I'm a spiritualist, dog's best friend, animal guardian, gardener. I learned about rover and how it's a great tool to continue growing my passion. Dogs are no doubt, the best example of unconditional love, which is something I believe many humans posses and are afraid to embrace. It's power that when tapped into can inspire the human population to become more and more fruitful, and dogs are one of the best examples on earth. Every dog I've met, remembers me the next time around. I've been around animals ever since I was a kid. Through the years I've encountered many experiences and observations to add to my skill. I know people are busy so I'm willing to help do your dog duties for you. I take care of my family dogs and believe all other dogs are family. Pet care is part of my lifestyle it is not something that takes me out of my natural rhythm. It comes naturally and flows smoothly. I keep a close eye on all our dogs including the natural interactions they have with other dogs and I make sure interactions are balanced and Noone gets hurt.
“Quite simply, Julianna is the best person you could hope for to care for your cat. She’s communicative, helpful, flexible, dependable - and above all, genuinely cares for our furry friends. We highly recommend Julianna and can’t wait to book her again.”

“Heather and Daniel were amazing with our Robby! We felt so at ease knowing they had been watching him!! We were really able to enjoy our vacation but still have our dog by our feet at night. We highly recommend them.”

About: Hablo español! Falo português brasileiro! Parlo italiano! I’ve had dogs my whole life and am an avid lover of animals. I’ve cared for elderly dogs (14 yrs +), 2 month old puppies and just about everything in between. Between organizing vet visits, keeping medical records in order, and of course providing plenty of care and attention, I consider myself to be a highly responsible and dedicated pet owner. A fun fact is that I bake each of my family’s dogs a cake (dog safe of course) on their birthdays and special occasions! I am studying for a big entrance exam, but during the week I have flexibility depending on the day and occasionally on weekends. Feel free to reach out! I am a KB native and love being part of this community. I do not currently have any dogs since my two beloved Jack Russells recently passed, but I am a dog lover and truly enjoy spending time with pets of all kinds! I am also very detail oriented and organized, and am extremely diligent with maintaining a clean space and environment both in my own home and especially in a client’s home, which especially includes making sure paws have been thoroughly cleaned upon returning home!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Key Biscayne. On Rover:

- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
