About: As someone who grew up on a small farm, I have been around a variety of animals since birth. I have experience caring for a variety of species and am comfortable handling any animal. I have volunteered with local animal shelters for over a decade, so I also have extensive experience caring for pets with behavioral issues and medical needs. I am a part-time sitter who is providing pet care services in addition to my full-time work. However, as a professor at a local university, I have a very flexible daily schedule and can easily provide pet care during typical business hours. Additionally, I do not work in the summer, which increases my availability from mid-May to September. I am very intentional about the number of clients I take at a time to ensure that I can provide comprehensive care to booked clients. I believe open communication is most important to be able to provide safe and reliable care for your pets. During our meet and greet, I will ask many questions to ensure that I have a full picture of what caring for your pet requires and how to meet your expectations. As someone who uses a Rover sitter to care for my pets when I am away, I personally understand the trust that is needed to leave your pets in someone else's care. I strive to build trust with clients by showing up when I say I do and following all instructions provided to me. And, it is not just about building trust with you but also your pet! About: I am a 29-year-old from Minnesota. I went to the University of Wisconsin, and am currently a Registered Nurse! I grew up with a black standard poodle from ages 3-19, and an apricot standard poodle from ages 19-27. I now have my own golden doodle named Sonny. I love playing, walking, and just hanging out with dogs as often as possible; they always brighten my day. I am willing to cuddle, play fetch, or give your dog(s) treats as often as they would like. About: I’ve been caring for pets for the past 13 years, starting with walking my neighbors’ dogs multiple times a week and stopping by to let them out when their owners were away overnight. Nikki was a life saver for my anxious Pomeranian! The owner of the ARBNB complained my dog barked when we left( I did not know my dog barked or that the owner lived on premises). I had Nikki another time we visited for Wi State Fair last year and I had peace of mind. She is the best pet sitter you could ever have! She sends pictures too!
Melissa was great - she came on short notice and took our two dogs out for a nice long walk. One of our dogs is very reactive and in behavioral training and Melissa was very patient with the instructions and got them home safe and tuckered out even after a wild turkey encounter. 5 stars!
