“Things fell through with my previous sitter (that wasn’t from Rover). I reached out to Kaity last minute, as I was scrambling to find someone to watch my chihuahua. She came within 1.5 hours of contacting her to do a meet and greet with Bailey since is weary of strangers from a traumatic past. She even moved around some her schedule to accommodate us. He was reserved at first, but quickly warmed up to Kaity. On day 2, he was already waiting at the door for her and greeting her with toys and kisses. I get cute pictures and a little summary of how their time together went. I would definitely recommend Kaity to anyone and I have her on weekly repeat visits. We are happy!”

“Ryan took great care of my dog while I was out of town for a week. She stopped by my house 3 times a day and walked my dog in the evenings. She sent me cute pictures which I appreciated. I was so happy that she was in good hands while I was gone.”

About: I've grown up with many different types of dogs. I learned at a young age the importance of walks, exercise, how to love and care for dogs of all ages and sizes. I have dog-sat for multiple families in the past, sometimes up to a week, and end up creating life-long bonds with each 4-legged friend! I currently work remotely, making my own schedule apart from an in-person part-time job that is about 14 hours a week. My availability: Mondays all day, Tuesdays after 5, Wednesdays after 1, Thursdays after 5, Fridays after 1, Saturdays all day, Sundays between 12 and 4. (Starting in June I will be available pretty much all day everyday!) I have two cats and rent, so care would need to be at your home, which I am comfortable with. I am trustworthy and dependable and will have eyes on your furry friend at all times!
About: My parents always had animals growing up. My dad especially always taught me to have compassion for every creature, going as far as bring any stray animal home so they had a warm place to sleep for however long they wanted to stay. I currently work part time, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm So I have time during the evenings on weekdays and time on the weekends as well! I’ve loved animals my whole life so spending as much time as I can with them makes my day. I am very good at being patient with animals, I am used to shy or nervous animals and going at their pace. I am also no stranger to very friendly animals as well, I am good at matching their energies.
About: I have owned and fostered dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I have experience with puppies, small, medium and large dogs. I have a great time interacting with and entertaining fur babies! I am currently on summer break from school, so most weeks my schedule is pretty open for the summer. I am typically available weekend and week days. I have experience walking small, medium, and large dogs. I have handled high and low energy dogs and cats. I walk my own dogs daily and have cared for high energy pups in the neighborhood.

“Sarah took great care of our kitty, Chuck, while we were away for nearly a week. She was very communicative, and followed instructions and came at the appointed times as planned. We were very happy with her care and would love to have Sarah take care of Chuck again when needed!”

About: During my middle school years, I engaged in volunteer work at a local animal hospital, where my responsibilities included maintaining the cleanliness of animal crates and assisting in the adoption process. Subsequently, during my high school years, I gained valuable experience through an internship with a professional groomer. Since then, I have had the privilege of caring for approximately nine dogs at various points in time, each of whom I consider an integral part of my family. My personal experiences have reinforced my belief that pets are cherished members of the family and should not be left unattended. I am currently a stay-at-home parent seeking opportunities to engage myself productively during the hours when my children are in school. I am eager to contribute my time and skills to meaningful endeavors that align with my interests and expertise. My pets get updated vaccines and vet visits as needed. I also make sure to walk them when weather is appropriate. I believe in active play. The more a dog is active, the less he/she will tear your house apart. I also believe in treat time but also to keep them on a healthy balanced diet.
About: Hi! I'm Liz – a 44-year-old ghostwriter and solopreneur who has the freedom to work from where I'm at. I'm big on companionship. My clients appreciate that I stay with their pets around the clock. I've got decades of experience caring for characters of all sizes and personalities. Dogs, cats, and other critters too! Attentive, individualized care is what you're getting with me. I sit for pets who've found their groove, and for those still working on it with patience and consistency from their humans. Senior dogs who value their sniff-walks, cats who've mastered artful coexistence.. I'm here for all of it ☺️ Multi-pet households where everyone mostly gets along - that's my specialty! **Note: ✓Please disclose & include all animals in the booking. If you have "outside-the-box" animals, share their specific care needs and all other relevant details via message, and we can discuss logistics and pricing. ✓I reserve the right to adjust or end a booking if information necessary to provide safe, quality care wasn't disclosed upfront. ✓Last-minute requests are welcome when my schedule allows - just ask! Serious stuff aside - when I'm not caring for pets or writing, I'm probably exploring the wilderness somewhere, meditating, cuddled up in a cozy book nook, or out laughing with friends. Animals are such excellent judges of character! It's always an honor to have their trust. I bring mental enrichment and plenty of affection (always on your pet's terms). Full transparency: I'm not a professional trainer! I'm here to honor the beautiful work you've already done with your fur fam. Puppies are precious agents of chaos! Let's do a quick in-person so I can see how they interact. I'll give you the floor to tell me all about their habits, and we can make sure we all feel like it's a good fit. I like keeping things calm, clean, and tidy while leaving lots of room for play. And I come with photo updates! The kind that'll have you smiling into your phone while you're gone. Writer life means I'm home a lot. And that means your pets get consistency, companionship, and someone who notices the small stuff - like when the cat's overstimulated, the dog needs extra reassurance (no such thing as too many ear-scritches).. Or when something's just slightly off. I'm tuned in to body language and behavioral cues. I'm also certified in animal reiki for pets who benefit from calming energy work – let me know if you'd like to incorporate it! I respond to what your pet needs in real time, not just what the schedule says. EXPERIENCE I've had dogs my whole life – all sizes, all temperaments. Cats for most of my adult life, from wallflowers to social butterflies, kittens to seniors. I recently completed four consecutive week-long sits for a single senior cat client in New Mexico. Prior to that, I spent several weeks caring for three very unique and adorable dogs, each with their own quirks, routines, and favorite spots. I've cared for anxious rescues, senior pets with special needs, high-energy youngsters, and adorably leisurely couch potatoes. I intentionally adapt my approach to what each animal needs and wants most. Be sure to share upfront anything that will help me provide them with the highest level of care, and this info will be kept in my client notes. I've managed sits lasting a couple of days to a couple of months, and I'm open to any length of time. My schedule fills up quickly, but I've taken plenty of last-minute & same-day sits too. I'M A GREAT FIT FOR 🐾 Chill, friendly dogs of any size. Cats who respect the litter box (and maybe even each other!). Pets who love cuddles, and pets who prefer their space. Households where everyone gets along. Small dogs with big personalities. Senior pets who need gentler, more patient care. Pets with medical needs or special diets. I follow instructions carefully and keep detailed notes. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Regular photo updates - because seeing their happy faces is comforting! Clear communication about any concerns or changes in behavior. Total respect for your home. WHY I CHARGE WHAT I CHARGE I'm not new to this. Just to Rover. I bring decades of hands-on experience with all kinds of pets in all kinds of situations. You're not paying for someone to just show up. You're paying for someone who genuinely cares and pays close attention. Someone who handles the unexpected with calm competence, and who is equally there to provide real companionship. It's the worst feeling to come home and know that your loved ones needs have been ignored. I know what it's like! And I also know the difference it makes when you have someone trustworthy you can rely on. Your pet isn't just an animal to me – they're your family, and they deserve care that reflects that. I have plenty of references on hand. Just say the word! Let's talk. 🐾💗 My schedule is refreshingly open and adaptable. That said – word gets around, and I often book up quickly. So reach out. I'd love to meet you and your crew 🙂💗 A note on service area: If you're outside my usual zone, there may be a small additional fee calculated to cover my transportation/travel time. Happy to chat with you about it! I treat your space as sacred - with care and respect. I stay observant and keep things tidy (sometimes tidier than I found them, oops!). Your pets get plenty of companionship (👋🏻 hermitty writer), regular updates with photos, and someone who genuinely notices the little things. Litter boxes = fresh. Plants = watered. I like to bring that "leave it better than I found it" energy.✨
“Misty is reliable, kind, attentive, and quite frankly, an animal whisperer when it comes to taking pics of my German girls (that says enough alone about how hard it is to get their pic). When Misty cares for my girls, it's like I know they're going to get pampered while I'm away. She brushes them, walks them and of course loves on them and gives them their favorite treats. She gives both of them their meds daily and doesn't mind that our dogs eat three different foods at a meal. She has even worked me into her schedule while she has had other check ins to do. I can't recommend her enough!!! We are so appreciative of you, Misty, thank you ♥️”

“Kyra went so far above and beyond while caring for our 6-year-old black Lab mix and three cats (Ruca, Hala, and Dahlia). We left her with detailed instructions and some quirks — a big dog who gets a bit too excited around others, cats with different personalities and a special eye condition, litter box maintenance, etc. She handled everything perfectly. While we were away, our apartment complex had a sewer backup (every pet sitter’s nightmare). Kyra didn’t just call us — she jumped in, cleaned what she safely could with her own supplies, kept us updated the entire time, and made sure our pets were safe and comfortable. She also sent regular photo updates that made it obvious our crew loved her — relaxed, happy, and well cared for. It’s hard to leave your pets, but Kyra made it feel effortless and worry-free. She’s reliable, resourceful, communicates clearly, and truly treats your animals like her own. I can’t recommend her highly enough — if you’re lucky enough to book her, do it!”

“Rachelle is a reliable and excellent sitter for our two cats. After only a couple of visits they were very comfortable with her and waited for her by the door. She always provides great pictures and keeps us up to date. We’ve used her for several trips now and will continue to in the future!”

“Lauryn is fabulous as a pet sitter! Her calm but fun presence was just what our dogs respond to well! She sent so many great pictures capturing what was happening while we were away. Baxter is not initially warm and friendly and he was cuddling in her lap in no time. She knows animals of all kinds! She handled all their needs including the three times a day medication Baxter needs.”

“Samantha was so nice and took great care of my lab. It was my first time using Rover and she went out of her way to set me at ease with entrusting my furbaby to her care!”

“My husband and I were very happy to find the Rover services and extremely co nfident finding Tara to take care of our 2 dogs. She was very professional and very kind. I feel like I really got to know Tara before we even left town. We had constant updates & pictures. We were no t concerned at all while we were gone. Tara was wonderful and we will get in touch with her again the next time we leave town. Thank-you Tara”

About: I’ve watched both family pets, and the pets of others for about 5 years, and I’ve been able to successfully provide efficient care. I live with my grandparents, who also have a dog that I help take care of on a daily basis. I’m currently open to all times of the day and most days of the week! I would be more than happy to watch your animals on the weekday as well as the weekend. I care for pets by keeping surveillance over them as much as possible, as well as making sure they are in a safe and clean environment.
Mehlville dog parents share their Rover experiences
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Christi on Rover! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in such caring and capable hands. Christi went above and beyond by sending daily updates, along with pictures and videos, which really gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she treated our dogs with genuine kindness and affection, making sure they were not only well cared for, but also loved. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does, and that made all the difference for us. We’re incredibly grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate to look after their pets!

Diane went above and beyond to make certain my Sheltie and Ragdoll cat were well taken care of, loved and happy. I especially enjoyed the pics of Charlie she would send twice a day. I know now who to request when I need someone to care for them again. Thanks Diane!

Michelle was awesome and kept me up to date with juju process and anything. She sent some many pictures, even the freeloaders..LOL. I will use her again and again. it was a comfort knowing that she was taking care of juju while I was gone and keeping her company
Kendra was a fantastic sitter and my dog Martin gives her 4 paws and a tail up (equating to the 5 stars above--likely he just wants more belly rubs, but...) She showed up on time for all visits and snapped super cute photos of my pup while I was gone. Thank you Kendra!

I’m so glad I chose Evelyn to take care of my fur baby! She is professional, kind and considerate. She always provided timely communication and checked-in on time. I think we all feel guilty/anxious leaving our pets at home when we go out of town, but it was a huge relief knowing that Casey was being watched by someone who truly cares. 10/10 - I will absolutely be booking with Evelyn again.
