Availability
Working part time at an elementary school allows me to have early morning and late afternoon/evening availability. I am also off during the summers. Starting summer of 2024, I have decided to add housesitting as service. I am excited for this new addition. As your house sitter, I would stay overnight in your home with your pets from approximately 9pm-9am. I would then return several times throughout the day based on your pets' needs. My service area is relatively small which allows me to return to my home as needed to help with our pets and be available to my family.

About Cyndi M.
Communication

Safety, trust & environment
During a drop in visit, walk or house sitting, your pet(s) will have my undivided attention. I know how difficult it can be leaving your pets, even just for the day. My lab has severe separation anxiety and there were many times in the past that I wished I had someone to stop by just to check on her. This is what I hope to provide to my clients. Peace of mind that your pet is getting the attention and love they need while you are away.
Information Cyndi M. would like to know about your pet
Your pets comfort and safety are of the utmost importance to me. I believe it's important to have a meet and greet with any new client so I can learn as much as possible about their pets. Things I would like to know about your pet(s) ahead of time: how do they react to strangers, especially those coming into their homes? Does your pet have allergies or food restrictions? Any medications? Does your pet have any fears (storms, fireworks)? If I am walking your dog, how do they react to other dogs we may come across during our walk? Again, knowing as much as possible about your pet will help me make them as comfortable as possible during our time together.
A typical day
Our time together will be spent following whatever schedule you have laid out. I will try to stay as consistent as possible whether it is just a drop in visit, walk or staying overnight with your pet(s).

Pets big or small, I love them all!
Pet care experience
For 22 years I worked as a zookeeper caring for a variety of animals ranging from several species of hoofstock (giraffes/zebras/hippos, rhinos) to a variety of birds. Aside from the daily care and upkeep of animal habitats, I also administered medications, assisted vets and used operant conditioning to train several species of animals. I am currently working as a part time aide at our local school district. I have 3 daughters, 2 rescue dogs, 2 cats and 6 chickens. I also foster dogs for several local rescue groups. In total we have fostered about 30 or so dogs and puppies. During their time with us, I work on basic training (house breaking, crate training, leash manners, basic obedience). I love animals of every kind! I am also very experienced in helping senior dogs and cats or those with special needs. My two rescue dogs are both seniors. Our current foster is battling several health issues and she has been with us for 8 months.

Iroh and Riley look so happy in your pictures!

Cyndi is amazing! She checks in on our dog Sherman and is always great at keeping us updated on how he is doing. She sends pictures and takes care of him just as we would. I would highly recommend Cyndi!
I just moved back to the area and was thankful that Cyndi was still available for a drop-in visit. She is absolutely the best! I know that my pet is safe, loved, and well taken care of while I am away from home. Thank you so much!

Cyndi was amazing! She took great care of our dog, Sherman, even when he was nervous with the fireworks. She kept in communication, sent pictures and was very professional. Thank you so much again, Cyndi!
