About: I’ve taken care of many different pets my whole life, I grew up with many different pets in my family. I currently have a well trained pet of my own, my friends and family come to me when they are in need of a sitter. I’m currently a part time college student, so I only go to class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, with my remaining time out of school, I have plenty of time to play and hangout with pets! I do not have a fully fenced yard but I do have a gated area on the side of my house. The gated area is big enough for dogs to run and play! I also have a small dog of my own to keep other dogs entertained!

About: We LOVE dogs and have a city sized house full of people that love giving them attention! We have 2 school age children but are home full time in the summer with a good sized fenced backyard and our own friendly pups, Oli and Lulu. We go back to our full-time jobs as educators on August 25, so our calendar reflects our school year availability (mostly weekends and some school breaks!) I (Kara) grew up always having a dog in the family, and as soon as I could, I acquired one of my own. I've learned that dogs need people, but people need dogs just as much. All this to say, we can't imagine a world without these furry little companions! With many attentive people in our household, your dog will never have needs unmet. Whether it be snuggles, toys, pets, walks, playtimes, food... be assured we can handle it! We can't wait to meet your dog! We both work in education, so our summers are very open & flexible and offer so many opportunities for dog walks, dog parks, pet cuddles, etc. Once the school year starts, our calendar reflects our weekend and school break availability! We have a fenced back yard and get on many outings with our own high energy dog. We do on long walks daily and often to the off leash dog park (if your dog is licensed in Minneapolis). We have a friendly cat that mostly keeps to herself around dogs, but she does not allow other cats in the home (so we are unable to board cats.)

I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of animals. I previously ran a guinea pig foster-based rescue and have also worked at a doggy daycare and a veterinary hospital, where I cared for boarding, grooming, and surgery patients as a kennel assistant. I’ve also worked as a technician assistant and receptionist at North Branch Vet. These experiences have given me not only hands-on animal care experience, but also a strong understanding of how to recognize and respond to individual animals’ needs. I have experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, hamsters, and many other companion animals. I genuinely enjoy caring for all kinds of pets and love learning about new animals, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a more unique pet! I’m especially comfortable reading canine body language, working with dogs who may be anxious, and adjusting my approach to fit each dog’s personality. I’m happy to care for dogs of all ages, although I know puppies can require a little extra time and attention. Whether your pet simply needs some company, regular potty breaks, and a little TLC, or you’d like someone to keep them active and entertained, I’m happy to accommodate their routine. I love having fun with animals and getting to know their individual personalities. I have plenty of experience with my own pets, including my Australian Shepherd, Winnie; Great Dane, Reuben; Maine Coon, Juneau; and Manx cat, Turkey. I’ve also had plenty of experience caring for guinea pigs through my rescue and previous personal pets. Although cats may be very different from dogs, I have just as much experience and intuition when it comes to caring for them. Having two cats of my own, I understand how much their personalities and needs can vary, and I’m comfortable giving them the patience, space, and attention they need to feel comfortable. If your dog is friendly with other dogs, I’d also love to bring my Great Dane, Reuben, along for overnight bookings. He would be thrilled to have a new friend to play with and keep company! I’m excited to get to know you and your pet and would love the opportunity to help care for them. Please feel free to request me anytime, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! Your booking is priority one, and is always completed before other work is done. If you are requesting house sitting, I’ll be with your pet until I have to leave to briefly care for my own pets. If your dog is well behaved, I would have no problem bringing them along with me when I run around town. If you are requesting drop in visits or dog walking, I will be able to attend your home whenever you book me. I’m available throughout the day, up until 10pm. I will be sure your pet is always in sight when going outside, or always on a leash if you do not have a fenced yard. I will take precautions to make sure your animals do not escape when I am entering or exiting the house by being aware of their presence when opening or shutting doors, or making sure to block their potential exits when I am entering or exiting. I will be sure to secure any cages, kennels or enclosures, along with your residence when I leave for any reason, assuring neither your pet will be safe while alone while also not getting into mischief.

About: Hi friends! My name is Robin, I’m 29, and I’m an artist living in northeast Minneapolis currently working in the service industry. While I don’t have any pets of my own, I am my community’s right-hand-gal when it comes to pet care. I also spend my free time often reading and consuming content about dog training and working with reactive pups. It is important to me that my presence is known by the animals in my life to be calm and joyful and consistent. I’ve got lots of attention to give and lots of patience - looking to overflow back into the families around me through helping care and tend to their pets. I am most familiar with having small dogs be a part of my family but have built my pet experience recipe to the brim with dogs of all sizes and ages as well as playful & shy cats and kittens. Don’t let the “gap in my resume” fool you - I’ve been servicing families in my area consistently (they just text me the old fashioned way ;)). I am currently in-between jobs so I have more open availability than normal. I currently have a standing commitment Wed-Friday 1pm-3pm, but that is my only limitation at this time. I am located in NE Minneapolis. I like to simulate what a normal day might look like for them while adapting to their particular needs surrounding getting to know a new friend (me!). I pride myself in being able to match the energy of animals and display to them that my job is to make sure they’re safe and I do not need to be in their physical space when they don’t want it. I love cuddling up with a lil silly sleepy pal but I won’t even be putting my hands on them regularly until/unless it is absolutely clear that they’re ready and wanting attention from me like that.

About: I’ve petsit for neighbors and family since I can remember and we always had pets at home. I have taken care of puppy litters, German shepherds and even birds! I am in between jobs currently so I have a flexible and open schedule to be available for your fur babies when you can’t be. It’s so fun getting to know different personalities of our pets. I’m very patient and even shy dogs warm up to me quickly. I love showing love with cuddles and taking dogs on adventures.

About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.
