About: I have spent my entire life around animals so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I grew up in a household with over 40 animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I have spent years working in a small locally owned pet store in my home town taking care of exotics, before moving into kennel work at a vet’s office. I have experience in giving medications to dogs and cats in different methods, and monitoring their health afterwards. My primary role was offering our boarding pets the comfort of a home away from home. I’m a reptile dad every day, taking care of my own snake and bearded dragon babies. I’m currently home every day with time and love to give to other pets and their people who need an extra hand. I have a big room with a comfy bed that they can lay on in a nice couch that we can sit and watch shows on. I also have a fenced in yard outback that I can take them in to play, but I have a spacious cemetery up and across the street that is great for leash walks as well. I also have various toys and litter boxes as well.
“Jodie took excellent care of my dog, Gremlin. She made sure he was walked and well-fed. He received a good brushing, along with a change of outfit. Jodie treated him like he was her own. We will definitely be booking again soon!”

“Samantha & her family were amazing with our english bulldog puppy! She sent pictures and updates every day and consistently communicated! I highly recommend her & we are so appreciative of how great she treated our puppy and how flexible she was with our travels/schedule!”

“Roxy had a wonderful stay with Jacquie and her family and pups! She clearly got a lot of attention and snuggles, walks in the woods, and yummy treats. Jacquie had clear and frequent communication and sent us pics. We would absolutely stay again :)”

“Alberta took incredible care of our sweet hamster while we went away for a weekend! She has a professional room set up for all boarding animals (even nicer than a vet boarding facility!) and sent us pictures / updates throughout our hamster's stay. Right when you meet Alberta you can tell that she is an animal lover, and is just the kind of person that you would entrust with the care of your furry friend! We will definitely be recommending Alberta to our friends in Boston, and will look to her services when we need someone to care for our pets in the future!”

“Always 5 Stars at Michael's house! Ghost Pepper loves coming to visit and stay with Michael and his family. They are wonderful, kind, helpful people and I'm so thankful for their service!!”

“We left our dog Rolo with Donnie for six days. This was our first kennel experience. Donnie put my mind at ease and I had complete confidence in Donnie taking care of Rolo. When I picked him up, he was happy and learned he did very well. I couldn’t be more happy. I will certainly use Donnie again. Thank you for everything.”

About: Back from a hiatus, a major client moved away. My reviews are a little old because all of my clients have become long term clients but i have doggy daycare 3-4 times per week typically. Let’s talk and have a meet and greet. Semi-private doggy daycare. I offer a private daycare BUT I do own an 8 year old Siberian husky and a 1.5 year old golden retriever. They are both very friendly, no incidents with other I will send you picture updates of your dog(s) as often as you want! I want to keep you informed of how your dog is doing and let you know that they are safe and having fun. I typically send pictures every 2 hours. I am also happy to help train or work on things with your dog too, just let me know. I don't want them to pick up any bad habits under my watch and will continue to train them according to your plan. I have a fenced in yard and allow dogs on the couch. I work from home so even while at work I can pay attention and let the dog(s) in and out of the yard. I “flex” my time so that I can work till 6pm or later to account for time away from my work to play with the dogs and give them attention. I keep my house very clean and do not allow items to lie around that could be a choking hazard. If you would like your dogs to socialize with others please let me know! By default, I do not book more than one client per day. I work Mon-Fri 8:00 - 5:30 at home and have every other Friday off. I flex my time so that I can make up any missed work time by working later. I am typically busy on weekends but in some cases we can work out something. In general, i do charge a but more for weekends but I also take they outside of the house to Mine Falls or a local area for some extra exercise and scenery. Overnights are negotiable too! I work from home so I am happy to provide daycare services at my house during the week and have even more time on the weekend. I work M-F 8:00 - 5:30 and have every other Friday off. I have a fenced in yard and live on a quiet cul-de-sac for short walks. I would also take the dog(s) to Mine Falls for longer walks. Dogs can sleep on the couch/bed or wherever they are most comfortable.
“This was Nutmeg's first time with Brooke. Brooke went out of her way to make sure Nutmeg was comfortable in her new surroundings. Nutmeg seemed content when we picked her up. It's clear Brooke and her family love dogs.”

“Theo was wonderful for Ella. Every photo showed her very comfortable and having fun. When I picked her up she wasn't pulling to leave like she has with others. Will definitely bring her back!!”

“Julia and Hugo were absolutely wonderful! Super warm and welcoming from the start, and our dog, Siggy was clearly happy and in great hands (the photo updates said it all!). Communication was quick and easy, and she was so patient with our high energy pup. We really appreciated the thoughtful suggestion to help encourage her to eat, since she tends not to when we’re away. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“Mary was very patient and accomodating with us, and we especially appreciated her taking Smokey for a walk, and all the updates throughout the day. So glad to have found her!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently have three of my own, so caring for them comes naturally to me. As a stay-at-home mom to four kids, I’m home and available throughout the day—meaning your pup will always have company, love, and attention. Caring for pets is second nature in my home. Between my three dogs and four kids, there’s always love, play, and activity to go around. Whether it’s morning walks, midday playtime, or cozy evening cuddles, pets easily become part of our family rhythm and daily routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to keep things comfortable and familiar. I make sure they’re well-fed, walked, and given plenty of love and attention—just as if they were my own. I also keep homes tidy and respect any specific instructions, so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Had a great experience with Phil! Due to unforeseen circumstances, he was very flexible with Maddi’s stay. He is a great communicator and Maddi seemed to enjoy her stay. Hope to see Phil again!”

“Charlie had a great time with Amanda, Nico and their pups! I knew he was in great hands so that made my time away so much more enjoyable! He will definitely be staying anytime I need to go out of town! 100% recommend!”

“Huge thanks to Robert for taking care of Pepe in what must have been a challenging week with 2 large snowstorms!! I think Pepe was a little confused at first (he had been a stray), but he came home well fed and happy!!”

“We're hapoy to share that Dexter had an amazing 4-night stay with Kavita! She went above and beyond, keeping us updated regularly. What truly impressed us was her attentiveness to Dexter's specific needs - she quickly picked up on his resource guarding issue and handled it with care. Unlike other sitters, Kavita's insight and expertise made all the difference. After 5 years of using various pet care services, we can confidently say this experience was one of the best. We highly recommend Kavita's home as a warm and welcoming haven for your furry friend - it's truly a home away from home!”

“Alison was responsive and thoughtful. She agreed to sit our utterly over-exuberant 14-month-old black Lab and we were so concerned that Alison’s family would be overwhelmed. Instead, she sent encouraging notes and exercised our dog extensively, so that she returned home relaxed. We really could not have asked for a better situation. Great people, a terrific fenced back yard, and good communication. Hard to beat that.”

“I go to music festivals 1-2 times a year and camp whenever friends are available. The most stressful part is finding a place where my boy Clark feels safe and has a good time. Elizabeth and her family were amazing! Their dog Charlie got along great with Clark, and their fenced in yard was perfect. Their house was located on a dead end road with low traffic, which eased some of the stress. Elizabeth provided plenty of updates, including photos and even a video. As long as she's on Rover she'll be my go to!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
