“Used Jo twice. Both her and her husband are very kind and welcoming. Finnick seems to enjoy their company too. Jo will maintains communication throughout the stay with photos. Overall we will continue to use Jo as long as she provides her services and her schedule is available for Finnick's stay”

“Bojack loved staying with Kourtney! He is a fourteen years old. I like that Kourtney has a background in veterinary medicine. Not only did that make me trust her with his daily meds, it was nice knowing that there was a trained eye on him. Bojack is overly bonded to me to the point that he often sits by the window waiting for me to return when I go out. The biggest compliment to Kourtney's care is that when we picked him up, he greeted me with enthusiasm but not anywhere near the crazy welcome I usually get, AND he kept looking back at Kourtney as if he was unsure whether he wanted to leave! We will definitely have her watch him again.”

“Megan was a great sitter, she communicated well and sent pictures of Tori which I loved :) Drop off and pick up went smoothly and she had everything ready when I got there. Thanks Megan!”

“Amazing! This was the first time we left our cat with a sitter so we were a little worried but we got pictures and updates every day. Her children loved playing with my kitty and we were able to have a getaway knowing our girl was very very well taken care of.”

“I’d give 6 stars if i could. We left Sully for an extended period of time for the very first time, which of course came with parental nerves and concerns (especially since my dog has IBD, so he needs the extra care and attention) Ashton was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and understanding of our nerves, but his care for Sully quickly dissolved our nerves of leaving Sully with how well he cared for him. Ashton sent us morning/evening updates, pictures, and took care of our dog as if he was one of his own (so much so that we could tell Sully was sad to leave him!) Ashton is an amazing pup care giver, i’d recommend him 10/10 and will choose him 100x over next time we need a sitter (and i know Sully will be so excited to see him again)”

“If there were 10 stars, Ralph would get them all. Our first booking and it was flawless. Our energetic young dog was exercised on long walks and played with a lot. Ralph is great managing multiple dogs ensuring safe playtime, careful introductions and lots of love. Great visit, everyone had fun. We'll be back!”

“Adriana has been so wonderful every step of the way! She was very flexible when I needed to reschedule our meet and greet. She welcomed my family and dog into her beautiful home and has a great set up for hosting dogs. She has a perfect fenced backyard and we were able to see how her dog and cat interacted with our high energy dog. We had a last-minute change of travel plans due to illness and Adriana was so kind and helped us figure out a new plan. Once we dropped off our dog she sent frequent video and photo updates. Her family made sure he had a lot of play time and exercise through games in their yard and neighborhood walks. She is very organized, kind and a great communicator. I highly recommend her and we will definitely trust her with our dog for future travel.”

“We left our dogs in the hands of a very warm and caring man and his wife. My dogs loved it there and Phill kept us informed regularly as well as sending us many photos. We were gone 10 days and as any dog parent, missed them a lot but always felt comfortable about being away. Phill is always responsive and got back to us quickly when we contacted him. I've already referred him to several of our friends through Rover. Thanks Phill!!”

“Thank you Riven for taking in Remi on such short notice. I appreciate the help so much!! Remi liked being there so definitely would like to have you sit for her again.”
“Matt is absolutely amazing. He really took care of my dog during the 40 days we were away. He sent pics and videos daily and he's really responsive to questions and requests. My dog had a good time with Matt. I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone who needs boarding service.”

About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. I have carried those skills over to training other foster puppies and my personal dog. I have a medical background (EMT) and my daughter is a Vet Tech so I am very comfortable working with animals with medical needs and will follow any required medical plan. In addition to dogs and cats, I'd love to meet\care for your backyard farm animals; horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, etc. I have experience with some of these animals through ownership and fostering opportunities. I'm open to meeting and learning about new friends. We currently have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses in our home. All our animals are our babies and I'll care for yours as if they were my own. I'm currently unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available for petsitting any day of the week and can work around any personal appointments. Boarding in my home is restricted to cats or other small animals. Puppies (under 1 year) may be accomodated, no adult dogs. For cats; we have a dedicated "cat room" to keep your pet separated from our pets. The room has a screen door so they don't feel locked away and can be part of our household while remaining safe. I will follow your pet care plan while in your home. For Puppies; all dogs are fed separately to avoid food aggression situations. All puppies will be crated for meals and sleeping overnight. If your puppy is not crate trained, I will work with them to ensure they are comfortable and not afraid. I can support your potty training schedule to maintain consistency.

About: I have not been an official sitter before, but I have been a dog owner for 20 years and know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. Dogs are family, and I understand the importance of making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We do not currently have any fur friends at home, so we would be honored to share that love with your dog. I provide a calm environment, pay attention to routines and needs, and communicate clearly so you can feel confident while you’re away. Because we do not currently have pets at home, we have room in our routine to give your dog plenty of love, attention, and companionship. We can be intentional about feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and rest, and we know how important it is to keep dogs on a routine that helps them feel safe and settled. We know dogs are family, so we care for them with patience, attention, and genuine love. Our home is currently without other pets, which allows us to offer a calm environment and focused care. We will follow your instructions closely, pay attention to your dog’s comfort and behavior, and communicate clearly so you know your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Alberta is great; she has nice, spacious pens and always takes very good care of our buns, even though some are "high maintenance." She always sends updates and photos during the stay. Five star service!”
“Joshua, you were fantastic with my dog Slippy for the full 10 days. From the very beginning, I could tell how much care and attention you gave him. The regular updates and sweet photos meant the world to me and let me truly relax on my trip. Slippy came home happy, energetic, and clearly well-loved. I so grateful for everything you did. Thank you so much, Joshua — I would happily trust you with Slippy again anytime!”

“Rosie was very happy and well taken care of. Jessica went out of her way to make sure she ate since Rosie was homesick and not eating her dry food. I was updated daily with pictures.”

“This was our first experience using Rover and we struck gold with Vanessa. She was communicative and kept us updated on our pups while we were away. Our dogs can be a handful as one is VERY high energy, but she clearly knew what she was doing and they came home happy and healthy. I would highly recommend her to watch your pups!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 885 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Mason. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
92% of Mason sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Mason landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mason home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mason.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Mason sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
