Emily took great care of my pug Forrest. She sent many messages and pictures daily showing how he was enjoying his stay with her and her family. He enjoyed himself so much that he was reluctant to leave when I arrived to pick him up him up, literally hiding behind Emily so I wouldn’t pick him up. I will definitely use Emily again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great family home environment for their pet when away. A+, 5-stars.

Judy and Rosie are awesome! Our Nala had the best time with Judy, Rosie and her family! Judy sent us pictures and updates gave our Nala plenty of walks, outside run time, and family love! So grateful not to worry about our pup while we were away. We would definitely book with Judy again!

Kourtney is a kind and a knowledgeable dog sitter. When I overseas for almost a month, my high energy dog was boarded in her place. She kept me posted and sent pictures. I could tell how much my dog got her attentions and love. She made my absence very easy and pleasant to my very sensitive rescued dog. I highly recommend Kourtney to you when you need help. Thank you very much, Kourtney and your husband!

Simply amazing—I recommend them wholeheartedly. She was attentive from the very first contact. We were quite apprehensive since it was Daisy's first time with a sitter, but they were very patient, and Daisy felt right at home! It is a healthy and safe environment. I will definitely contact her again if the need arises. We loved the care she received, and Daisy loved everything! Thank you.

I’d give 6 stars if i could. We left Sully for an extended period of time for the very first time, which of course came with parental nerves and concerns (especially since my dog has IBD, so he needs the extra care and attention) Ashton was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and understanding of our nerves, but his care for Sully quickly dissolved our nerves of leaving Sully with how well he cared for him. Ashton sent us morning/evening updates, pictures, and took care of our dog as if he was one of his own (so much so that we could tell Sully was sad to leave him!) Ashton is an amazing pup care giver, i’d recommend him 10/10 and will choose him 100x over next time we need a sitter (and i know Sully will be so excited to see him again)

About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. I have carried those skills over to training other foster puppies and my personal dog. I have a medical background (EMT) and my daughter is a Vet Tech so I am very comfortable working with animals with medical needs and will follow any required medical plan. In addition to dogs and cats, I'd love to meet\care for your backyard farm animals; horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, etc. I have experience with some of these animals through ownership and fostering opportunities. I'm open to meeting and learning about new friends. We currently have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses in our home. All our animals are our babies and I'll care for yours as if they were my own. I'm currently unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available for petsitting any day of the week and can work around any personal appointments. Boarding in my home is restricted to cats or other small animals. Puppies (under 1 year) may be accomodated, no adult dogs. For cats; we have a dedicated "cat room" to keep your pet separated from our pets. The room has a screen door so they don't feel locked away and can be part of our household while remaining safe. I will follow your pet care plan while in your home. For Puppies; all dogs are fed separately to avoid food aggression situations. All puppies will be crated for meals and sleeping overnight. If your puppy is not crate trained, I will work with them to ensure they are comfortable and not afraid. I can support your potty training schedule to maintain consistency.

About: I have spent my entire life around animals so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I grew up in a household with over 40 animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I have spent years working in a small locally owned pet store in my home town taking care of exotics, before moving into kennel work at a vet’s office. I have experience in giving medications to dogs and cats in different methods, and monitoring their health afterwards. My primary role was offering our boarding pets the comfort of a home away from home. I’m a reptile dad every day, taking care of my own snake and bearded dragon babies. I’m currently home every day with time and love to give to other pets and their people who need an extra hand. I have a big room with a comfy bed that they can lay on in a nice couch that we can sit and watch shows on. I also have a fenced in yard outback that I can take them in to play, but I have a spacious cemetery up and across the street that is great for leash walks as well. I also have various toys and litter boxes as well.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, they were always a part of my life, and caring for them came naturally. Both of my parents shared that same love for animals, so I was raised in a home where pets were treated like family—with patience, kindness, and lots of affection. That love has stayed with me into adulthood. I understand that every dog and cat has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I enjoy taking the time to help them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. My home has a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore, and there's always plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing—whatever makes them feel most at home. When your pet stays with me, they won't just be looked after—they'll be welcomed into a home where they're treated with the same love, care, and respect I'd want for my own pets. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and genuinely cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. My schedule allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care, whether that's going for walks, playing in the yard, sticking to their normal routine, or simply giving them the attention and companionship they deserve. I enjoy making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and right at home while their family is away. My home is clean, pet-friendly, and has a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore under my supervision. I never leave pets outside unattended, and I make sure they always have fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and plenty of love and attention.

We left our dogs in the hands of a very warm and caring man and his wife. My dogs loved it there and Phill kept us informed regularly as well as sending us many photos. We were gone 10 days and as any dog parent, missed them a lot but always felt comfortable about being away. Phill is always responsive and got back to us quickly when we contacted him. I've already referred him to several of our friends through Rover. Thanks Phill!!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
