Ashton and his wife took excellent care of my dogs while I was away. They were kind, reliable, and made me feel comfortable knowing my dogs were in good hands. My dogs came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. The pickup and drop-off process was smooth and easy, and I could tell they genuinely cared about my pets. I will definitely be booking with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy pet sitters!

Judy was an awesome host to our dog in her home. Our dog threw her some curveballs, as he can be a bit of a rascal, and she took everything in stride and was extremely patient with him. She kept us updated and gave us complete ease that she was taking excellent care, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy our vacation without worry. Thank you Judy, we would love to have King stay again!

Absolute best sitter I've left my GSD with. Hoping to book again soon so he gets more socialization with their pup. Kalani was very accommodating and understanding of my last minute request to book on a holiday weekend and my boys' anxiety that can look like aggression. Great communication and care. Would recommend her to anyone in a heart beat!

Very thorough when I dropped my dog off Reported back to me the details of his day seemed very capable. Finn was very relaxed and seemed perfectly adjusted in a situation where he normally would be very upset. I pup has severe anxiety separation, but he did great.

Ralph is just great! He took care of our black lab for over a week and I think our boy is depressed that he had to come back home! This was our first time finding someone other than a boarding facility to take care of our dog and Ralph was wonderful. He is a natural with dogs and just a really nice guy. He has a great place with lots of outdoor space and his attitude and kindness cannot be beat. I was a bit nervous leaving our dog because he's a solid 85 lbs and he can be a lot to handle, but Ralph had no issue with him and they had a great week. Ralph sent pictures and updates daily. It was really fun to see how happy our dog was. They walked several miles every day. Ralph followed all of our requests and put us at ease right away. He really cares and wants the best. He also had other dogs in his care for some of the time our dog was there, and he handled that so well. We are thrilled that we found him and will definitely be reaching out again. 10/10 recommend!

This was our first experience using Rover and we struck gold with Vanessa. She was communicative and kept us updated on our pups while we were away. Our dogs can be a handful as one is VERY high energy, but she clearly knew what she was doing and they came home happy and healthy. I would highly recommend her to watch your pups!

Alberta was the best match for "Lucky", my very personable and sweet 15- year old Golden Doodle. Before accepting Lucky for a Sunday-to-Sunday December stay, Alberta asked all the right questions from his daily routine to how best to administer his prescription meds. Alberta also required a current veterinarian record as proof that Lucky was up to date on all his shots and also so she could keep an eye on his health. Aside from a very professional, proficient, and friendly onboarding the real magic happened when Alberta cheerfully greeted Lucky and she knew to give him time and space to acclimate to his new B&B and her own three doggies - a greyhound, a lab and a golden mix. Every morning I received a cutie pie photo of my fur baby in a different scenario which showed me just how well he was doing! Snoozing on his bed, hanging with her other dogs in the fenced in yard, or begging for a treat. Normally when I pick up my boy from other sitters he looks a bit frazzled-as if to say- what was that all about!? LOL But after his stay with Alberta and family Lucky came trotting out, happy to see me and and freshly brushed too. I could see in his eyes that he was well-rested and happy. WOW! Thanks Alberta for all the TLC!

About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. I have carried those skills over to training other foster puppies and my personal dog. I have a medical background (EMT) and my daughter is a Vet Tech so I am very comfortable working with animals with medical needs and will follow any required medical plan. In addition to dogs and cats, I'd love to meet\care for your backyard farm animals; horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, etc. I have experience with some of these animals through ownership and fostering opportunities. I'm open to meeting and learning about new friends. We currently have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses in our home. All our animals are our babies and I'll care for yours as if they were my own. I'm currently unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available for petsitting any day of the week and can work around any personal appointments. Boarding in my home is restricted to cats or other small animals. Puppies (under 1 year) may be accomodated, no adult dogs. For cats; we have a dedicated "cat room" to keep your pet separated from our pets. The room has a screen door so they don't feel locked away and can be part of our household while remaining safe. I will follow your pet care plan while in your home. For Puppies; all dogs are fed separately to avoid food aggression situations. All puppies will be crated for meals and sleeping overnight. If your puppy is not crate trained, I will work with them to ensure they are comfortable and not afraid. I can support your potty training schedule to maintain consistency.

I would never leave my dog without first meeting someone, so the fact she suggested it made me feel right from the start we were on the same page. We had a meet and greet and came away feeling that Louie would be well cared for. It was clear Lainey genuinely cares for dogs. She was great with her communication and pictures. She kept us updated with his eating, exercise, mood and elimination. It was comforting to know how he was doing during the day, We look forward to his visit with her again this summer.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Brookline home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
