“Alberta was the best match for "Lucky", my very personable and sweet 15- year old Golden Doodle. Before accepting Lucky for a Sunday-to-Sunday December stay, Alberta asked all the right questions from his daily routine to how best to administer his prescription meds. Alberta also required a current veterinarian record as proof that Lucky was up to date on all his shots and also so she could keep an eye on his health. Aside from a very professional, proficient, and friendly onboarding the real magic happened when Alberta cheerfully greeted Lucky and she knew to give him time and space to acclimate to his new B&B and her own three doggies - a greyhound, a lab and a golden mix. Every morning I received a cutie pie photo of my fur baby in a different scenario which showed me just how well he was doing! Snoozing on his bed, hanging with her other dogs in the fenced in yard, or begging for a treat. Normally when I pick up my boy from other sitters he looks a bit frazzled-as if to say- what was that all about!? LOL But after his stay with Alberta and family Lucky came trotting out, happy to see me and and freshly brushed too. I could see in his eyes that he was well-rested and happy. WOW! About: I have owned dogs my whole life, and currently have two small (under 20lb) resident dogs. I have experience medicating a range of health issues via injection, pill, or eye/ear drops. I'm also a foster with Last Hope K9 and have a wealth of resources available to me, and therefore can be provided to you. Dogs are allowed on furniture and I have a fenced in yard with dog door! About: I've had a connection with animals since I can remember. I've cared for cats and dogs and have cleaned litter boxes, and have walked many miles in those decades. About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. “We had a long talk with Hope when we returned home. She said that she had a wonderful time with Laura and family and even had her usual opportunity to 'snuggle'. It was comforting to know that there is a home near ours where we can be comfortable leaving Hope, knowing that she will be loved and cared for. I expect that we will be asking Laura to care for Hope in the future”
“This was our first experience using Rover and we struck gold with Vanessa. She was communicative and kept us updated on our pups while we were away. Our dogs can be a handful as one is VERY high energy, but she clearly knew what she was doing and they came home happy and healthy. I would highly recommend her to watch your pups!”
