“My dog had a great time, Paul is super experienced in taking care of dogs with all sorts of needs and i felt so good knowing my dog, who had sustained an injury prior to booking, was in good hands. Would recommend and book again!”

“Simply amazing—I recommend them wholeheartedly. She was attentive from the very first contact. We were quite apprehensive since it was Daisy's first time with a sitter, but they were very patient, and Daisy felt right at home! It is a healthy and safe environment. I will definitely contact her again if the need arises. We loved the care she received, and Daisy loved everything! Thank you.”

“Sam and her family took excellent care of my two dogs! Communication was top-notch, and I loved to see how happy and well cared for they were. They came home content and tired, which is the best review of all. It’s clear they had a great time in your beautiful spot in the forest. Thank you so much, Sam! 🤩”

“We can’t say enough good things about Erica! Erica has done drop in visits, day care, and boarding for Dixie. She is prompt, communicates well and is extremely professional. Most importantly, Dixie loves her!! I highly recommend Erica and will most definitely continue to work with her in the future!”

“Alberta is great; she has nice, spacious pens and always takes very good care of our buns, even though some are "high maintenance." She always sends updates and photos during the stay. Five star service!”
“Jacky is literally THE BEST! Our 12-year-old goldendoodle stayed with Jacky for two weeks this spring while we were on an international trip. Jacky took such wonderful care of our dog – multiple walks a day in parks and wooded trails, playtime in the yard, and plenty of hugs. We also received daily updates with photos, which made us feel comfortable and happy that our dog was doing so well. I’ve recommended Jacky to our friends and we will definitely be contacting her again!”

About: I've had numerous variety of pets my whole life, Worked in pet retail for a time, and genuinely feel I understand animals more than people sometimes. Currently I'm between more traditional 9-5 employment, so I have the time and space to give the care needed for the little (or big) ones. I am open to discussing the individual needs of every client, but the basics of walking, feeding, just plain old attention are well within my capacity. Happy to help facilitate any training that is being done as well.

“I was very nervous having to board my two pups rather emergently. Best thing to have ever happened to me was finding this angel. She sent me a frequent updates as well as pictures. Couldn’t have asked for a better family to take care of my best buds. I am 1000% grateful and will continue to use Jessica in the future.”

“Tilly seemed to enjoy her overnight stay and interacted well with Alexandra’s dog. There was excellent communication between us with several great status photos provided. Will certainly use her services again!”

“Dawn and her family were awesome! I needed to find someone to watch Sammy. They accepted him as their own and gave me updates on a daily basis. She is very communicative and I felt safe leaving Sammy with Dawn and her family. Thank you so much for everything! ❤️”

“John was fantastic with our two pups. It was obvious he spent a lot of time with them and the daily photos were wonderful. We will definitely use John again should the need arise and we highly recommend him.”

“Scooby loves staying with Victoria and her family - when I dropped him off he was so excited and pulling on his leash, couldn’t wait to get to the front door to see his friends! She takes great care of him and I always feel at ease while he’s there.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
