“Jennifer took such good care of Archie and his special medical needs. He did not seem stressed at all. She sent me updates multiple times daily. I would highly recommend her.”

“I can't recommend Craig and Brianna highly enough. They looked after our dog, Oreo, for a week and provided exceptional care. Their frequent updates and photos showed just how comfortable and loved he was. It’s such a relief to find sitters who treat your pet as their own!”

“Mary was fantastic and shared daily pictures and updates of our precious Bruin! It was very reassuring to see him playing outside and relaxing in the house. We would definitely use her services again and highly recommend her.”

“Mary was great with Cookie! We felt comfortable in leaving her under Mary’s care and she sent updates to us to let us know how she was doing throughout the week. We will definitely use her again!”
“Jaquie was very accommodating to my dog and sent me photo and video updates. She provided lots of exercise for my younger energetic dog. I highly recommend Jaquie to care for your pet.”

“I felt like my dog Polly was in great hands with Briana and her family. I got pictures every day showing her having a great time with the family and other dogs. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Melissa did a great job taking care of yummy! We had a two-week extended stay. She shared photo updates regularly and flags issues proactively. Would recommend to anyone.”

“Once again, we couldn’t be happier that our puppy, Lucy, was able to stay with Dawn and her family while we were out of town! We love that Lucy is not only so well cared for, but also gets to socialize with Dawn’s younger kids, their friends, and other dogs throughout her stay (we love getting photos and updates!) Lucy came home happy and exhausted - thank you, Dawn!”

“Aline was wonderful. She and her family cared for our pup while we were away and sent us pictures of him to keep us updated. She was very responsive as well, whenever we reached out to her. We ended up needing to pick him up a little early and she was flexible with the timing too. Thanks for caring for our little guy!”

“Migle was absolutely wonderful with Zoë. She went above and beyond-carrying her up and down the stairs because Zoë couldn't manage them, sending regular photo updates, and treating her like her own. I felt completely at ease knowing Zoë was so well cared for. Truly exceptional.”

“Dee was great with our dog, Shiloh, while we were across the country for over a week. We received pictures showing her with all of her happiest body language and were told that Shiloh and Dee's dog got along like best friends. We will definitely ask Dee to watch Shiloh again.”

“A great experience. Himanshu was user friendly and kind. He sent updates and photos which was great. I felt comfortable even though it was my best boy Davy’s first time with a pet sitter!”

“Elaine was great with our 11 month old lab mix for 3 nights when we were out of town. She was great with managing our puppy’s sensitive tummy and Harper came back happy and tired (in a good way) from all the playing! Would definitely use again!”

“Lydia was great taking care of our dog Ollie while we had our wedding events!! She gave us a reasonable amount of updates as well as pictures, which we loved seeing during some stressful times! She was very friendly and Ollie loved her! We will definitely be using Lydia again! Thank you Lydia!!”

“Svetlana was really great with my 4year old cockerpoo. She was responsive to my inquiry, met up with us for a meet & greet, and seemed to really enjoy hosting my pooch. We’re all in for our next visit ! 🐾🐾”

“I was very pleased with Sarah’s care of Brandy when she stayed with her this past weekend. Sarah was great about updating me and sending pictures. Her house is very dog friendly and there are lots of toys that her pup shares with guests. Brandy enjoyed her stay, and although she was happy to see me, was not showing any of the anxiety I sometimes see when we are separated for a while, so I know she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for in my absence. I would highly recommend Sarah as a sitter and plan to have her watch Brandy again soon!”

“Lauren was Great!!! I could tell Daisy felt comfortable right from the start, when time came for my drop off she had already remembered the area and as soon as I pulled up was so excited to get out the car to hangout with her new friends! Daisy was so tired when she came home and slept like a log. Lol I received pictures and updates of Daisy while I was away on my trip! Would recommend her to anyone !!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Leominster
I messed up the AM/PM and Judy was so accomodating and helpful. Luna had the best of times with her 3 new friends. When Luna had a breathing issue (normal for us, but definately scary for anyone that ahs not dealt with a short nose bread before), Judy took great care of her and cuddled with her. Judy and her husband are wonderful caring dog owners, the property is amazing for any dog. We will definately use them again if they are willing to have Luna. Thank you for the great care, the updates and the photos.

Tracy was amazing with our cat Pretty Girl! We were nervous as this was our first time boarding her but Tracy was very kind and helpful. She was in good hands for sure! We got updates throughout the stay and lots of pictures as well!! When we picked Pretty Girl up she was happy and healthy and well taken care of. Would definitely book with Tracy again!

Jasmine was amazing with Alina. She sent many pictures and updates on their time together. Alina is a big dog that takes specific care and an understanding of how to manage the energy of a 100lbs toddler. Jasmine care for her with the intent on how we would care for Alina ourselves. I would definitely recommend her and will look for her again when the time is needed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
