“We have been working with Blaise for a few weeks now, and we are so happy we found him! He is flexible, reliable, professional, affordable, and extremely punctual. He is highly communicative and easy to get ahold of. He is always flexible with any last minute changes, and he always arrives exactly when he says he will. We are so glad we found someone who we can trust so highly, and who our dog loves so much! Our dog is our baby and we know he is safe and happy with Blaise. If you are looking for a dog walker, look no further than Blaise!”

“Bonnie did a great job introducing our new puppy to the neighborhood. She fed, watered, and walked him each day, right on time. I love the pics! They helped put this new fur mama's mind at ease. We look forward to the next vacation week to hire Bonnie again.”

“First walk with my pup. Kaylee was easy to communicate with and kept me updated before and after her walk. Will continue to request for upcoming walks amd would recommend to others.”

“We love Colin! He takes such amazing care of my puppy Vincent and my dad said he is always so impressed at how patient and kind he is even when the puppy attitude comes out. Thank you Colin!”

“I came in from our of town for a family gathering and needed a last minute walker for my dog. Jeffery was great with communicating with me for the last minute need. Was great handling Denise (my 2.5 year old had) and they had a nice hour long stroll around the neighborhood. Would recommend”

“Ben has been great with our new puppy! He’s very patient, and was able to take the time to get our puppy to warm up to him. He’s also very punctual and professional. We’ll defiantly be using Ben in the future!”

About: I have spent my entire life around animals so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I grew up in a household with over 40 animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I have spent years working in a small locally owned pet store in my home town taking care of exotics, before moving into kennel work at a vet’s office. I have experience in giving medications to dogs and cats in different methods, and monitoring their health afterwards. My primary role was offering our boarding pets the comfort of a home away from home. I’m a reptile dad every day, taking care of my own snake and bearded dragon babies. I’m currently home every day with time and love to give to other pets and their people who need an extra hand. I have a big room with a comfy bed that they can lay on in a nice couch that we can sit and watch shows on. I also have a fenced in yard outback that I can take them in to play, but I have a spacious cemetery up and across the street that is great for leash walks as well. I also have various toys and litter boxes as well.
“Brian has been great with Barney and our family. Barney is a particular type of dog that needs someone who understands his personality. This Brian has done. He also has been available on short notice and keep all his appointments and has been great at communicating his future availability. As well he is very pleasant to work with. Thanks Brian!”

“Jason took fantastic care of our senior dog while we were gone for a week! He gave him his medicine and did the rather complicated food routine flawlessly. He was also very communicative about how Mischka was doing, and sent lots of photos!”

“Alexandra was great! She took care of our dog and cat while we were on vacation in Ireland. We reserved Alexandra to come every morning to feed our pets and walk our dog (neighbors helped in the afternoons/evenings). Both pets loved her, and we felt comfortable being so far away. Alex kept us posted on how our pets were doing, and spent some extra time with them giving them the love they were missing while we were away.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets for over 13 years, starting at a young age with my own family pets and continuing through friends, neighbors, and relatives who trusted me with their animals. I have experience with cats, rabbits, puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, including feeding routines, daily walks, bathing, administering basic medications, and providing calm companionship. I’m patient, observant, and very attentive to each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort needs. I treat every animal as if they were my own and prioritize their safety, emotional well-being, and routine. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and extended stays while ensuring pets are never rushed or left alone for long periods. I enjoy building my day around an animal’s needs rather than fitting them into a rigid routine. I prioritize a calm, safe, and structured environment at all times. I carefully follow any instructions provided by pet parents, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, and house rules. I’m attentive on walks, respectful of leash safety, and mindful of each pet’s comfort and boundaries. In a client’s home, I keep the space clean, secure, and peaceful, and I always aim to maintain the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. Trust, communication, and gentle care are at the heart of how I look after every animal.
About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. I have carried those skills over to training other foster puppies and my personal dog. I have a medical background (EMT) and my daughter is a Vet Tech so I am very comfortable working with animals with medical needs and will follow any required medical plan. In addition to dogs and cats, I'd love to meet\care for your backyard farm animals; horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, etc. I have experience with some of these animals through ownership and fostering opportunities. I'm open to meeting and learning about new friends. We currently have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses in our home. All our animals are our babies and I'll care for yours as if they were my own. I'm currently unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available for petsitting any day of the week and can work around any personal appointments. Boarding in my home is restricted to cats or other small animals. Puppies (under 1 year) may be accomodated, no adult dogs. For cats; we have a dedicated "cat room" to keep your pet separated from our pets. The room has a screen door so they don't feel locked away and can be part of our household while remaining safe. I will follow your pet care plan while in your home. For Puppies; all dogs are fed separately to avoid food aggression situations. All puppies will be crated for meals and sleeping overnight. If your puppy is not crate trained, I will work with them to ensure they are comfortable and not afraid. I can support your potty training schedule to maintain consistency.

About: Hi! I’m Kat, a reliable, animal-obsessed sitter who believes every pet deserves care that feels like a staycation, not a “where did my people go?” situation. Whether your pet is a professional napper, a zoomie enthusiast, a treat negotiator, or all three, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and very spoiled. My goal is simple: to care for your pets the way I care for my own: with patience, love, and respect. Because they aren’t just pets, they’re family. With 4 cats of my own, I know how important it is to make your pets feel safe and comfortable. I keep my schedule super flexible, so I can usually work around your pet’s routine instead of the other way around. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings for drop‑ins and can adjust visit times to match feeding, walks or playtime, and quiet hours. If your plans change, I do my best to accommodate last‑minute requests, as long as I’m not already booked, so your dog or cat’s care stays consistent and stress‑free. I treat your home and your pet with the utmost respect, and the way I would want to be treated and how I would want my own family to be treated. It will look like I was never even there.

About: I’ve owned pets since my daughter was young and brought her first kitten home. I’ve been helping her to walk dogs for a couple years now. I’m retired so my schedule is fairly open. It gets me walking and outside, two things I enjoy. It helps my health and makes me feel good. Happy to walk your dog! Cannot have pets stay at my house as I have a kitty cat of my own. His name is Toby and he’s a real pain in the butt! 😂
“Ann Marie has been wonderful with our pup. She is kind, professional, and trustworthy. I feel comfortable allowing her into our home. Her updates and photos brighten my day everytime and she is very sweet to our girl.”

Brian took great care of Koopa while we were gone! Koopa is a rescue so she doesn't like to be touched and is very wary of new people but she warmed right up to him and he respected her boundaries well. He kept us updated on how she was doing and sent cute pictures which is wonderful for us millennial dog parents who miss our pup whenever we're away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
