About: I've raised my Japanese Shiba Inu from childhood until his later years. Not only did I grow up taking care of him, but I grew up with him and in that experience, I learned behaviors and skills that I believe have allowed me to improve his quality of life. I have a part time job that doesn't give enough hours, so on days that I am available I am more than happy to get out of the house and at least spend time doing things I enjoy, and being around pets is definitely one of them. In other words, pet care can fit anywhere in my schedule with almost certain ease. My own dog is allowed to roam the downstairs floor of my home and used to be able to run around the backyard on a runner before it was taken down by a storm and never put back up. However, he has enough discipline where he is trusted to roam the backyard without a leash.
