“We had the best experience with Julia and her family. She was excellent at communicating and providing detailed updates. Hank was truly part of her family while I was out of town and he had a blast. I am truly relieved to have someone reliable, safe and caring that I can leave Hank with in the future!”

“Amanda was great, she took such good care of Caju, and was flexible about the drop off which was really helpful for us. Amanda and her partner were very friendly, communicative and made sure Caju had a good time while he was there, they have a big fenced yard for the dogs to run around.”

“Ashley was awesome and we loved her. Her communication was fast as it was a last minute reservation. She understood our dogs need and behaviour instantly. She really took very good care of our fur baby. He was very happy and had a great time with Ashley and her dog. We and our fur baby is very happy with Ashley and how she cared for our dog. We would certainly go back to her.”

“Melany was amazing! She kept me updated the whole time by sending videos and pictures of my Frenchie, and it was clear my dog was happy and well cared for. About: I work from home in Amherst and my dog Wally is a friendly 35-pound rat terrier/beagle mix! I prefer to have just one dog at a time and am open to boarding and doggy day-care at the moment. I do require that your pet be house-trained! I work from home and have a large fenced-in backyard and the friendliest dog to keep your dog company all day. I'm comfortable with dogs on furniture and only allow one dog at a time, so your pet gets maximum attention. I have a fenced in, large backyard and a very friendly 8-year old, 35-pound rat terrier/beagle mix named Wally. I work from home full-time and only intend to care for one dog at a time, so your pet will have maximum attention. I can accommodate both crate-trained and those who never were.

Lindsey was great. I needed someone good at the last minute and luckily she was available. She kept us updated on what Izzy was up to (via pics and vids) and Izzy seems to have had a great time there with Lindsey and her girls. So, I will def be using her again when the need arises.

Lily did an amazing job with Hershey. He loved staying with her. She is very kind and caring and all the photos showed how comfortable he was at Lily's house. I highly recommend Lily and have only very positive feedback about his stay. We were away for an extended vacation and were so happy that we found Lily to care for our little guy. We are very much looking forward to having Hershey stay with Lily on our future vacations.

I would never leave my dog without first meeting someone, so the fact she suggested it made me feel right from the start we were on the same page. We had a meet and greet and came away feeling that Louie would be well cared for. It was clear Lainey genuinely cares for dogs. She was great with her communication and pictures. She kept us updated with his eating, exercise, mood and elimination. It was comforting to know how he was doing during the day, We look forward to his visit with her again this summer.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
