“Thalia was amazing! She lives right around the corner from us so it was very convenient. Toby was happy to spend time with her dog too. She sent many pics and videos and made sure he ate and took his meds. She was a super sweet person and I am confident we will use her to watch Toby next time we need to go out of town. Thank sp much Thalia!!”

“Josh was great! Very accommodating with setting up a meet and greet beforehand and modifying booking time for an overnight stay for our dog Ozzy, who had a blast making new doggie friends and has been tuckered out from all the fun since we picked him up.”

“Daisy’s two week stay with Nancy and family was great! It was such a relief to know we were leaving her with someone so friendly and reliable. Nancy sent pictures and messages often (a big relief for our daughter who really missed her friend!). And when we picked Daisy up, she was happy and healthy and clean and obviously well cared for.”

About: On a regular basis, I take care of my mother’s Black Labrador Moses whenever she goes out of town. I have taken care of my stepsister’s pug, Leo. I have experience in caring for cats, guinea pigs, rats, mice, fish, chickens, turkeys. Lots of variety here! You can be assured your beloved friend will be in good hands. My schedule is pretty flexible, I just need to know well in advance. We can arrange something if you need weekend care in the AM. ☺️ I always try to accommodate to your needs! Saturdays and Sundays are typically my days off from Rover and my normal job. I have a large open yard for any animals wishing to play, as well as lots of trails to explore and walk on. My husband who I live with, LOVES dogs so there’s more then enough love to pass around. My work schedule currently is kind of at random, so I am a good match for those who work odd hours! If something happens where I’m unable to care for your pet, I will always let you know as soon as I know about it. In my home I am very careful about letting my own pets free roam, just saves a lot of trouble if two pets don’t get along. I can provide exposure to small animals as well if you are looking to get your dog used to small critters as well! In the clients home, just leave me a list of what you expect or would like done, and I’ll see to it that it gets accomplished with plenty of pictures! I am the proud owner of a cat Freya, and a retriever mix named Zeus, in addition to a tank full of fish. I’ve gone per diem at my jobs, so I have unlimited flexibility for visits! I’m working around the clock to make sure each animal has been cared and tended to! I let my own pup free roam the house, and we do have a fenced in yard for playing. I’m slow to introduce my dog to others. Pets are carefully monitored around my other animals to make sure everyone can coexist in a peaceful harmony.
“Rebecca was personable and gave updates during our pup’s stay. Rebecca engaged our pup with socialization and training reinforcement. Our pup seemed to have enjoyed her stay and came back safe and sound.”

About: I am a responsible and caring dog owner with hands on experience raising my own Golden Retriever puppy. I understand the importance of feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, basic training, and providing lots of love and attention. I will treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I am reliable, patient, and committed to following your pet’s routine and any special care instructions. As a dedicated dog mom to my 6-month-old Golden Retriever, pet care is already part of my daily routine. I plan my day around walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and training. I have a flexible schedule and will make sure your pet gets the same love, attention, and care that I give my own dog. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. As a Golden Retriever owner, I understand how important routine, exercise, and positive attention are. I always follow each owner’s care instructions, keep pets supervised, provide fresh water, regular potty breaks, and plenty of playtime and affection. I will treat your pet like a member of my own family and keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away.

“Becky and Bill are amazing! Our pooch Barley stayed with them for a week and you could tell he was loved and cared for. Becky sent regular updates and even gave Barley a new nick name "Lion guy" :) Barley also got great socialization with the other pups. We will definitely be calling Becky and Bob again for our next trip out of town”

“Amazing! Responds quickly and is flexible. Luke loved staying with her family and not sleeping in a kennel or crate. Lots of pictures of him relaxing on the couch. Would book again!”

About: I have been a pet sitter since September 2022! I have had dogs and cats my whole life! We currently have 7 dogs, 4 cats, tortoises, snakes, birds, turtles, fish, and lizards!! I have experience with "aggressive" pups and can also administer medicine via pills or injection!! This is my full time job so availability is usually pretty open!! Located in Derry, NH but working mostly in Nashua! I am available anytime! I walk dogs for a living so very open availability and would love to spend a lot of time with your lovely furbabies! I have 7 pups that have more energy then they know what to do with! I do have fenced in yard and I love to hike so long walks do not scare me!
“Robert is a great. He took great care of our dog, Pepper, while we were away. We got pictures of her in walks and enjoying outside time. I’m glad we found him on Rover. We’ll definitely book again!”

“Ashley was awesome and we loved her. Her communication was fast as it was a last minute reservation. She understood our dogs need and behaviour instantly. She really took very good care of our fur baby. He was very happy and had a great time with Ashley and her dog. We and our fur baby is very happy with Ashley and how she cared for our dog. We would certainly go back to her.”

“Bae was great and cam through lase minute when we got stuck, and our dog seemed to do really great with them. On top of that when we arrived one day earlier she initiated a refund which we did not ask for. I heartily recommend her for your dog.”

“My wife and I needed a dog sitter for 2 days on very short notice. That's when we found Kathryn on Rover. We arranged a meet and greet with our dog, Cora, and her 2 dogs, just to make sure there wasn't going to be an issue with them. The meet and greet went great and we booked her to watch Cora for us for 2 days. Kathryn was awesome! She sent us pictures of Cora every day and took great care of her! Plus Cora got to play with Kathryn's dogs and kids, and she had a blast! I know that if we need a dog sitter, she'll be the first one we try to book! Thank you again Kathryn!”

“Avery accepted our dog Zeppelin for a last minute trip. She was very attentive, communicative and sent us pics of our beloved family dog. My young kids loved the pictures she sent. If I ever need a sitter again or if anyone asks, I will absolutely recommend Avery for the future!!!”

Lindsey was great. I needed someone good at the last minute and luckily she was available. She kept us updated on what Izzy was up to (via pics and vids) and Izzy seems to have had a great time there with Lindsey and her girls. So, I will def be using her again when the need arises.

Lily did an amazing job with Hershey. He loved staying with her. She is very kind and caring and all the photos showed how comfortable he was at Lily's house. I highly recommend Lily and have only very positive feedback about his stay. We were away for an extended vacation and were so happy that we found Lily to care for our little guy. We are very much looking forward to having Hershey stay with Lily on our future vacations.

I would never leave my dog without first meeting someone, so the fact she suggested it made me feel right from the start we were on the same page. We had a meet and greet and came away feeling that Louie would be well cared for. It was clear Lainey genuinely cares for dogs. She was great with her communication and pictures. She kept us updated with his eating, exercise, mood and elimination. It was comforting to know how he was doing during the day, We look forward to his visit with her again this summer.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
