“Brenna had an amazing stay at Liz's house! She loved running around the fully fenced yard with Charlie, and Liz was wonderfully communicative so my husband and I knew what Brenna was up to while we were out of town. We also received some great photos that perfectly captured the essence of our curious pup. We would love to book with Liz and Charlie again!”

“I’m so glad I found Stacey to care for my dog. She was Amazing! She provided pictures and updates daily which put my mind at ease. She took such good care of her that I was afraid she wouldn’t want to come home! Truly the BEST! Thank you!!”

“Felicia took great care of my Bernese Mountain Dog, Bailey, during her overnight stay. She was very flexible, easy to communicate with, and made the whole experience stress-free. I had no complaints and would definitely trust her with Bailey again!”

“I’d give 6 stars if i could. We left Sully for an extended period of time for the very first time, which of course came with parental nerves and concerns (especially since my dog has IBD, so he needs the extra care and attention) Ashton was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and understanding of our nerves, but his care for Sully quickly dissolved our nerves of leaving Sully with how well he cared for him. Ashton sent us morning/evening updates, pictures, and took care of our dog as if he was one of his own (so much so that we could tell Sully was sad to leave him!) Ashton is an amazing pup care giver, i’d recommend him 10/10 and will choose him 100x over next time we need a sitter (and i know Sully will be so excited to see him again)”

“François is an absolutely amazing individual with dogs. He has a really big yard, a patio and the woods nearby which kept my pupper happy. More so than that - this was the second time I’ve boarded him with François, and around this time my dog was too eager to go with him. He’ll emotionally invest into your dog, ask important questions and your dog will have fun! 10/10 recommend, and will come back.”

“This was our first experience with Rover, and it definitely won’t be our last thanks to Peter, Michele and their family! I received daily updates and pictures, which was very reassuring since this was my first time boarding Stella. I don’t think she wanted to leave! I will definitely be reaching out to them again in the future.”

“We're hapoy to share that Dexter had an amazing 4-night stay with Kavita! She went above and beyond, keeping us updated regularly. What truly impressed us was her attentiveness to Dexter's specific needs - she quickly picked up on his resource guarding issue and handled it with care. Unlike other sitters, Kavita's insight and expertise made all the difference. After 5 years of using various pet care services, we can confidently say this experience was one of the best. We highly recommend Kavita's home as a warm and welcoming haven for your furry friend - it's truly a home away from home!”

“Michelle took care of our lab and German shepherd for a couple of days and she was exceptional! Our dogs had so much fun, we frequently got updates, her communication was great! Our dogs are exhausted, which is always a good thing!! Highly recommend!”

“Joshua, you were fantastic with my dog Slippy for the full 10 days. From the very beginning, I could tell how much care and attention you gave him. The regular updates and sweet photos meant the world to me and let me truly relax on my trip. Slippy came home happy, energetic, and clearly well-loved. I so grateful for everything you did. Thank you so much, Joshua — I would happily trust you with Slippy again anytime!”

“Julia is AMAZING and made me feel at ease when leaving my pup with her when he wasn't feeling 100%. She gave me updates as needed and I was able to enjoy my vacation to the fullest knowing Julia was willing and able to do what was needed to make Lincoln feel comfortable and at home!”

“Our dog Sara had an absolutely fabulous time at Judy's home. Judy is so friendly, and her dog Rosie became our dog's best friend instantly! There is plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor space for dogs to roam around, and lots of toys. We're so thankful for Judy and her wonderful doggie care!”

“This was our first time leaving Starlight with someone other than family. Xiaofan was so sweet and cared for our dog so well! She gave us many photos and updates, also paying attention to the details of our dog’s care. Starlight was very happy when we arrived home, and we’d definitely recommend Xiaofan watching your pet!”

About: Hi, my name is Avery! I have been working with dogs professionally for 4 years. I train dogs, walk dogs, and board dogs. I have a passion for dogs, and I love to spend time outside no matter the weather. I am dog and cat first aid certified by Red Cross, and I have taken 4 years of veterinary science. My specialty is energetic dogs, or super hyper dogs, but I can handle all breeds and all temperments. I take safety and rules seriously, I provide a space where dogs can enjoy themselves while in my care while also limiting injury risk. I am flexible, so I can give all boarding dogs as much time and attention that they may need, and fulfill any special needs required. My goal is to provide you with peace of mind when you choose me for your boarding needs. I have 4 dogs, all friendly with people and other animals. I have a fenced-in yard, too. I work from home and my job is very flexible. I can make time morning, afternoon, evening for any pets in my care. I don't really go out and most of my hobbies are done at home. If your pet is dog friendly, they will hangout with me and my dogs and fall into our routine (unless otherwise noted). We get up around 8 and they get potty breaks every few hours or so. I treat any animal like my own animals. I have one senior dog dog can't use the stairs so I installed a ramp for her so she can get into the yard. I will happily accommodate your pet the same way. My yard is fenced and there are no escape paths. I have a finished basement with an entry to the yard, if your pet isn't dog friendly or something goes wrong in the group, I can keep everyone separated and prioritize the guest pet.
“We boarded our dog and cat for a week. Likun is very experienced and attentive in taking care of both cats and dogs. We received daily updates and she also replied to our messages very promptly. Her Border Collie is so sweet and gentil. Our puppy was really happy she has a mature big sister and perfect playmate! The home is well equipped to take care of multiple pets and her backyard is perfect for dogs to play in.”

Ashley was awesome and we loved her. Her communication was fast as it was a last minute reservation. She understood our dogs need and behaviour instantly. She really took very good care of our fur baby. He was very happy and had a great time with Ashley and her dog. We and our fur baby is very happy with Ashley and how she cared for our dog. We would certainly go back to her.
Emily was so caring, thoughtful, and attentive to our puppy’s needs! She regularly updated us, sent photos and videos, and made his stay better than we could have imagined. Her dog was so sweet to ours, as this was his first time being with another dog for an extended period of time. I would HIGHLY recommend Emily to watch your pets! She is experienced, comprehensive, and so so caring!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
