14. Kathryn B.

“I was in immediate need of a responsible dog walker that we could count on to take our Alaskan Malamute named Abby for a 30 to 45 minute walk/exercise since I was out of the country for vacation with my son while my husband was busy at work. Abby is a puppy and was experiencing extreme anxiety being alone. Kathryn was/is the perfect person for the job! Kathryn was always on-time and very respectful how she treated Abby. Abby was always happy to walk with Kathryn and took care of her as if she was part of the family. I would HIGHLY recommend and hire Kathryn if you are in need of a dog walker with experience to give a little bit of love and care to your pet! We will definitely rehire Kathryn when the occasion presents itself again!”

15. Stephanie P.
About: I grew up with dogs, from my mom's 3 lb Pomeranian who learned I would share my snacks as a toddler, all the way up to a pack of 6 when I was in high school. I raised several from puppies, so I know all about puppy mischief. (And who can resist that goofy puppy run or those big puppy paws?) I've also dealt with undesirable behaviors, such as jumping or food/resource guarding. I don't mind taking care of dogs who are still displaying these behaviors, just please make me aware when booking. I am not promising training, but I know how to keep myself and the dog safe. I've taken care of senior dogs who have slowed down and need a little more attention or accommodation. I can administer oral or topical meds, but not injections. I also don't mind shy or nervous dogs. I'm perfectly content taking a little extra time to let your pup get to know and trust me. Please let me know at the meet and greet if your dog is nervous or reactive in certain situations so I can keep us both safe. While I've never had a pittie (or adjacent breed) before, the ones I've met have been the sweetest. I firmly believe in judging the dog, not the breed. Please note: I am willing to provide constant care (not leaving the pet(s) alone at all or for more than an hour) but I do charge a little extra for these sits since I am giving up other potential bookings for them. I am currently in the process of a career change, so I can easily slip away to walk a dog, or drop in and play for a bit. I can also easily complete my other work from your home with wi-fi access if I'm house sitting. I love all kinds of animals. Most of my experience is with dogs and cats. I love getting to pet/give ear scritchies to any dog or cat who will let me, and this gives me a chance to do that more often. I don't plan on doing pet boarding/day care at my own home. I currently rent, and have two cats who are unfamiliar with dogs, so it isn't possible at this time. I am very careful when it comes to someone else's animal. I make sure to keep an eye on body language, and avoid putting them in an uncomfortable situation. If there is ever a concern (medical or otherwise), then I will bring it to the owner's attention. I am also mindful of doors, especially if the pet is a known escape artist. I've had a few of my own in my lifetime. Also, I will always make sure the home is secure when leaving. I will always love and look out for your pet as if they are my own because pets are family. I typically send updates with photos twice a day during sits, or with every Rover Card for walks and drop-ins. If you'd like updates more or less often, just let me know!

16. Dustin T.
“Dustin's love of animals is immense. He once owned his own dog, his Golden Retriever, Riley, who passed away a few years ago. He loves all dogs. Dustin first walked my two dogs in 2019 while I was at work. My mother passed away that summer, and he was very accommodating by stepping in to stay with my dogs when I had to travel to California for what was then an unforeseen amount of time. I was gone for several weeks. Dustin was part of a team of people who worked together to ensure that my two dogs were taken care of. My dogs love Dustin, and he loves them. I lost one of my beloved dogs at the end of 2019. Dustin was instrumental in ensuring that my other dog was cared for through a difficult time for our family. Dustin continues to care for and walk this dog while I'm working or when I'm traveling Because of Dustin's great dog sitting services, Dustin is now a dogsitter for one of my family members too. Dustin is very punctual and ensures the dogs under his care are walked sufficiently. He is very responsible. He picks up after them with earth-friendly doggie bags and disposes of them properly. If Dustin brings dogs to a dog park or comes across other dogs on walks, he instinctively knows whether or not dogs should/can socialize. He always, always, keeps them harnessed and leashed. Dustin follows owners' instructions to the T. Dustin will walk dogs no matter the weather, from intense summer heat to snow and bitter cold! I am glad to hear that Dustin will join the Rover.com team to further his goals to be a professional dog walker.”

17. Sarah B.

“Sarah was great. Very helpful to me in a pinch. Would absolutely use her again.”

18. Alana R.

“Alana was great with our pup Mando! She was very helpful and even did a little extra the first day when Mando didn't want to go on his first walk without us. Very grateful for her help this week!”

19. Shyanne R.

“Shyanne gives lots of details of her walks with Penny which makes me happy! And by the pictures Penny always looks like she has a great time!”

20. Keirsten M.
“Keirsten has been watching my two dogs for years. She takes care of them so well and loves them like her own. I never have any doubts about leaving them with her.”
