“Ashlee took such great care of my cat! I honestly wish I had found her sooner. She sent detailed updates and pictures every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She’s incredibly sweet, reliable, and clearly really cares about the animals she looks after. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty. I’ll definitely be booking with Ashlee again and highly recommend her!💖”

“Delaney took wonderful care of our dogs, Ainsley and Prescott, while we toured Texas Tech with our son. They had a great time, and we had peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Arianna was so great checking on my dogs while I was gone for the weekend. She sent lots of updates, pictures, and videos. It can be scary leaving my fur kids to be watched by someone else but I felt so comfortable with her watching my dogs and knew that they were being well taken care of!!”

“Kelsey was super responsive and took wonderful care of our pup! She was respectful and ready to learn about our girl so she could best care for her and went above and beyond for the time we booked.”

“Dominique is the GOAT! I have had several Rover sitters over the years and Dominique is by far the most dependable, good-natured and communicative. She gives GREAT feedback...lots of details and specifics regarding walks, playtime, antics, feeding time, etc. I just love the wonderful, often hilarious little anecdotes she provides me about the time she spends with my beasts. No curt little "All is well" notes for Dominique! Instead, she goes to great lengths to describe exactly what happens during her visits. Thanks for being Mot and Skube's favorite sitter, Dominique! We really appreciate you!”

About: I love animals, but dogs just have my heart. I have had many pet dogs in my life. One whom was born sick; she had a sever type of mange and i had to give medication daily and bathe frequently. That was never a problem to me. I currently have two fur babies, one that i found on the street that someone had thrown and one that i adopted. My fur baby that was found on the street has a problem with his hips and I try my best to keep him comfortable. ALL animals are beautiful! Hello Fur Parents! Need someone to have a companion the whole time you’re gone ? I got it, i’m always home! I am a full time momma trying to make a little extra cash to help my husband. Before staying home, I was in the Medical Field as a CNA/Phlebotomist but left that behind to stay home with my newborn baby! My husband is off (Fri. - Sun.) so he helps me on weekends which are my busiest. We’re a team! I have a home that has a backyard that is securely fenced and is pretty specious for your babies to burn all that energy out. I also have two of my own fur babies who are the most loving and playful that have what feels like a million toys who are waiting to be shared with.
“We had a wonderful experience with Calli! She was reliable, caring, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving our dogs in her care. She communicated well, was very attentive, and treated our pets like her own.”

About: I grew up training and showing dogs! I've also been a trusted volunteer dog walker/foster parent for local humane societies in the past, taking care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages! My family frequently fostered litters of puppies as young as 6 weeks. I also have plenty of experience with seniors and the specific health problems that come with that, after loving my cocker spaniels right up to the end. Life doesn't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, so I'll jump on any chance for some pupper love! I daylight as a professional wildlife biologist, but I am currently between jobs and so have all the time in the world to give your four-legged companions! My schedule is wide open. Safety is, of course, the highest priority, and reading animal body language is the key to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for your pet and avoiding stressful situations. This is a skill I feel very confident with after so many years of varied pet care. Second to safety is fun! Whether that looks like a brisk walk, a casual stroll, a laser pointer, a game of fetch, or just getting some relaxed quality time in is entirely up to your pet. Regardless, I'm happy to fulfill their needs.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets of all personalities and needs. In addition to household pets, I’ve also raised cattle and goats through FFA, which has given me a strong foundation in responsibility, patience, and working with animals that require daily care and attention. This experience has taught me how to stay consistent, follow instructions closely, and notice small changes in animal behavior or health. What sets me apart is that I don’t just “watch” animals, I genuinely care for them and understand how to handle both calm and more challenging situations. Whether it’s feeding, cleaning, walking, or just spending time with them, I make sure every animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine since I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I’m used to helping with feeding, cleaning, and general care for pets at home, and I also make time for walking, playing, and checking in on their needs regularly. I attend school from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and I sometimes have a few responsibilities after school, but I’m pretty flexible and good at managing my time. Through FFA, I previously raised cattle and goats, which taught me responsibility, consistency, and how important it is to stick to a care routine and pay attention to animals’ needs. School will be ending soon, so I will be even more available and flexible during the summer, which will allow me to take on more pet sitting opportunities and give pets more consistent care and attention. In my client’s home, I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I make sure to follow all instructions for feeding, fresh water, walks, litter box cleaning, and any medications if needed. I also spend time with the pets to give them attention, playtime, and companionship based on their personality and comfort level. I always make sure to keep their space clean, safe, and respected, and I check in on them consistently so they feel cared for and not alone. My goal is to treat every pet like my own and keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.
“This was my first time using Katherine for drop in visits. I was very pleased with the way she took care of the animals. She was good with interacting with them. I will definitely consider her in the future.”

About: I’ve pay attention to dogs personalities and enjoy surrounding myself with animals. Nothing more brings me joy than a happy pet! I can teach dogs tricks especially if they’re food motivated it’s fun to see how clever they are. I’m working part-time unfortunately right now I can’t house any dogs unless they are smaller/lapdogs. I am willing to housesit and have a vehicle to provide guaranteed transport. I live next to a park that’s friendly for dogs and I’m available to walk them just about anytime. To care in your home I’m willing to go to dog parks or long walks in the neighbor to reach their needs.
“Adrian was very attentive of our cat. He was there on time and always kept us informed. I would definitely recommend him for other Rover users and I would book him again.”

About: I have years of experience with in-home as well as drop-in pet sitting. I am reliable and dependable so you can be worry free when leaving for furry friends. I am a college student with a lot of down time to care for your furry friends. Pet sitting will fit perfectly into my weekly schedule since I only have short classes in the mornings. I will go above and beyond to make sure your pets are well taken care of, including walking, bathing, and much more. Anything you need for your pet I am more than happy to accommodate.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lubbock
Ava did a wonderful job in taking care of our kittens and dogs. She came daily for 10 days while we were out of town, fed the dogs, checked their water, fed our kittens, checked their water, cleaned their litter box daily. We have some wild ducks who show up so she was kind to put food and water out for them daily also. When we came back and she came by to say goodbye, the pets were so comfortable with her and at ease. We plan on using Ava again in a few months. She is very pleasant, follows directions well and did a super job keeping up with four pets daily. She also kept us updated daily with pictures and texts which we enjoyed.

Hanna took great care of my fur babies. She is patient and so understanding of each of my dogs. She is punctual and consistent on her visits which is important for dogs like mine who are very use to a schedule. I highly recommend Hanna for pet sitting needs and will use her again. Thank you Hanna. :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
