About: I’ve never had a time in my life without pets, from my own dogs, cat, and bird, too family and friends animal care has always been a key aspect of my schedule. I currently work two jobs with availability that fluctuates weekly. I have guaranteed Wednesday afternoons free with full work days only consisting of 2 days a week. This leaves most of my work days to only last about 5 hours on average leaving me plenty of availability to spend time with your pets! quality time with the animals is a big deal for my care! I love to sit, walk, and play with my pets as much as I can to ensure they’re growing in an enriching environment. Litter/ cleanings are a regular, and occasional treats and outings are added to their day to day routines so they’re never to bored of being at home!
About: I'm a West Texas native — born here, schooled in El Paso, graduate work at Texas Tech — who spent twenty years in the Seattle area before coming home to Lubbock. I've been caring for animals professionally since 2003, most of that as All Shook Up Dogs and Design in Washington, where I served more than 200 regular clients: drop-in visits, walks, house sitting, vet and groom transport, medication administration, and senior care. Alongside it I've been a nonprofit executive director, a dance educator, and a small business owner, and I'm currently finishing a master's in art history. I hold degrees from the University of Notre Dam, Texas Tech, and Northeastern. What all of it has in common is showing up on time for people who are counting on me. My own dogs are the reason I'm good at this. I have six, and they are not decorative. We train — herding, agility, nose work, and a frankly unreasonable amount of ball. I cook for them. I study canine behavior and nutrition the way I study anything else, which is to say obsessively. I've spent years in Australian Shepherd rescue and have served on the national board of a breed rescue organization since 2012, which means I've seen what happens to smart dogs whose needs go unmet. That's why my specialty is herding breeds. A bored Aussie, Border Collie, or Heeler doesn't need another lap around the block — it needs a job. Reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs with complicated medical routines are all welcome here. I work in your home so your pet keeps their own routine, their own bed, and their own smells. You'll get photos and an honest update every visit. I have full availability Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and I can take early morning and late evening visits the rest of the week around a standing commitment. Holidays are usually open — just ask. Midday and recurring visits are my sweet spot. If your dog needs a reliable lunchtime break while you're at work, I can build a standing schedule and keep it consistent week after week. I take a limited number of clients so nobody gets a rushed visit. I'm building toward pet care full-time, so my availability will keep opening up. If we're not a fit for your dates right now, ask me again in a few months. I work in your home, on your pet's schedule. Before the first visit we'll do a walk-through together — feeding, medications, where the leash lives, which door sticks, what your dog does when the doorbell rings, and who your vet is. I'd rather ask ten questions up front than guess once. Dogs stay leashed unless you've told me otherwise and the space is genuinely secure. I lock up behind me every time, and I'll bring in mail, rotate lights, and water plants so the house looks lived in while you're gone. If something seems off — a refused meal, limping, vomiting, a dog who just isn't acting like themselves — you'll hear from me right away, and I'll get to your vet or the emergency clinic if that's what's needed. Nothing gets hidden or held back for an end-of-trip summary. I have dogs of my own at home and I change clothes and wash up between households, so nothing travels from my place to yours.
“Sidney went above and beyond! Very friendly and great communication. She sent pics of the dogs daily AND she eveb brought my Amazon packages inside for me ☺️ I will definitely be using her again. Thanks again, Sidney!”

About: I've owned and taken care of animals all my life, from cats and dogs to guinea pigs and rabbits. Friends and family often ask me to pet sit for them when they're out of town, and I'm familiar with processes for gaining trust and increasing comfort of even wary animals! I'm currently student teaching, and so during the week I will stop by to check on and tend to any pets and hang out with them for a while working on lesson plans and such, or playing if the pet feels up to it, and then heading back to my house to rest for the coming day In my home I feed and water my animals checking on them first thing when I wake up and letting my dog out first thing when I get home and last thing before I go to bed, making sure to get in as many cuddles as I can in between
“My dogs absolutely loved her! She was caring and loving with them. It really helped us relax knowing she was there checking in on our fur babies. I highly recommend her to anyone needing check ins on their pets!”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a little girl. I’ve had the joy of caring for my own dogs, a big pup for 9 years and a little pup for 5 years and they’ve taught me so much about love, patience, responsibility, and companionship. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s playing fetch, going on walks, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. Caring for dogs has also taught me what it means to be a mother to be patient, attentive, and always make sure they feel safe and loved. When your dog stays with me, I’ll treat them with the same love, care, and attention I give my own. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work from home and my schedules are pretty flexible. I will have plenty of time to play with your fur babies and take them on a walk too. I am home all days a week with my two fur babies We let out dogs on furnitures, your pets can lounge and get comfortable anywhere they want to. We have a big fenced backyard. I can give them potty breaks as much as they need. Let me know about any food/treat preferences, allergies, or any additional information you feel is necessary. I can’t wait to treat your dogs as my own. I can pick up your babies if you have a busy schedule . Just $10 more for both pick up and drop off.

“Kylee took amazing care of my dogs. She had no problem administering insulin injections and pill meds, along with a little cleanup. She is super reliable and communicative and sent lots of photos every visit. She is one of the best dog sitters I’ve had and my dogs loved her!”

About: I have been a dog person for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom would get so upset because I was always bringing home stray dogs and begging to keep them. 😊 Now, coming home to my two fur babies and seeing how excited they are to see me is the best part of my day. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I have the patience to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I always tell my family and friends, "Dogs are easier than kids!" 😂 Whether you're going on a much needed vacation, working longer hours than expected, or have an unexpected trip out of town, I'm here to give your fur baby all the love, attention, and care they deserve until you're back home. ❤️ If you book with me please don’t forget to leave your honest review :) I am home full time, so your fur babies will get lots of love, attention, and care throughout the day. My husband also works from home, so there is almost always someone here to keep them company. Whether they love to play, go for walks, or just relax and soak up all the attention, we'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We treat every pet like they're part of our family and will care for your fur babies just like we do our own. I have a fenced yard, lots of toys, two fur babies who love to play, and lots of love to go around. My job is to give your fur baby unconditional love, attention, and care until you're reunited. Even though I have two fur babies of my own, my house is big enough to keep them separate from yours if that's what makes everyone most comfortable. I want you to feel completely at ease leaving your babies in my care. Since my husband works from home and I'm home full time, your babies are free to roam, play, and relax wherever they feel most comfortable. We make it a priority to keep them supervised, safe, and loved while you're away, because that's the whole point of having a sitter, right? 😊 If we do leave the house, it's usually for no more than a couple of hours.

“Will definitely use her services again, Dusky immediatly took to her, keeps you updated with pictures so you can see how your pet is doing, you can tell Amy loves what she does so you will know your cat/dog is in good hands with her.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always been a huge animal lover. I grew up with Great Pyrenees, so I’m very comfortable around large dogs and understand the care, patience, and attention that comes with bigger breeds. Now I have a long-haired miniature dachshund of my own, so I also have plenty of experience with smaller dogs and all of the personality that can come with them! Having dogs throughout my life has taught me how different every pet can be. I’m very patient, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, whether that includes walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medications, or just lots of cuddles and attention. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I’ll always treat them the way I would want someone to treat my own dog and keep you updated while you’re away. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility to make pet care a regular part of my day. I’m able to plan walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins around each pet’s normal routine. I really enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for them never feels like just another task on my schedule. I’m also happy to work with owners to keep things as consistent and familiar as possible while they’re away! I’m very mindful of things like doors, gates, leashes, feeding instructions, medications, and any specific routines or house rules you have in place. I want your pet to feel safe and comfortable in their own environment while you’re away. I’m also happy to send plenty of pictures and updates so you can feel reassured knowing your pet is being well cared for.
“Felicia communicated really well and went above and beyond for one of our cats who got injured. She was very reliable and responded very quickly. Will definitely book with her again!!”

About: I have loved animals as long as I can remember but couldn't have them because my mom was allergic when I was a kid. I previously had a cat for 4 years who tragically died from an epileptic seizure earlier this year and and I have 2 young kittens now. I am unemployed at the moment so I have pretty open availability to be there whenever needed to take care of your pets. I am more than happy also to help out on weekends and most holidays. I definitely would follow any specific directions given by the pets owner as well as send frequent updates and pictures just so you feel comfortable and know your babies are being taken care of and loved while you are gone.
About: From farm animals, to show animals. I’ve experienced it all. We personally have animals that need daily medication, so there’s really nothing I haven’t done. Especially on a farm, I’ve rescued and rehabbed many different types of animals. Before or after my Monday-Friday. If special accommodations need to happen, it’s really no big deal. I can make it work to fit your needs. I follow your exact household routine so your pet feels minimal disruption. This includes feeding and medication on schedule, refreshing food and water, thorough litter-box scooping and cleaning, playtime or walks, and any enrichment or cuddle time your pet enjoys. I also perform basic home checks (locking doors, bringing in mail, watering plants if requested) while treating your space with complete respect. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or an overnight stay, I adapt to your cat’s or dog’s preferences—quiet companionship for shy pets, interactive play for energetic ones—and provide detailed updates throughout the visit.
About: I am incredibly attentive and will absolutely do my best care with your animals!! I am flexible and willing to work with you when needed!! I currently have two cats and two dogs of my own and am willing to work around school to cater to your pet sitting needs!! I am incredibly attentive and careful around animals!! You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
