About: With over a decade of pet care experience, I've developed a deep understanding of our furry friends' needs and quirks. From energetic pups to senior dogs needing a gentle touch and playful cats, I can handle them all with care and affection. Whether it's daily walks, feeding routines, or administering medications, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of every pet under my care. Trust me to provide your beloved companions with the love and attention they deserve! I am home for the summer to prepare for the start of my upcoming graduate school program, so I am extremely flexible in my schedule. I am available during the workday, evenings, and weekends! In both my home and my client's homes, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment for pets. This includes providing regular feeding schedules tailored to their dietary needs, ensuring access to fresh water at all times, and maintaining a clean living space. I engage pets in enriching activities such as playtime, walks, and interactive toys to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Additionally, I adhere to any specific care instructions provided by pet owners, such as administering medications or adhering to training routines. Above all, I approach pet care with love, patience, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of each animal in my care.
“We left our two pups with very different personalities with Paul and I cannot write enough wonderful things about the experience! Paul was very communicative, sending a ton of updates, photos, and videos. The pups always looked happy and engaged and we are so thankful they were in great hands while we were away!”

“Savannah was great with our girls while we are out of town! They were a little disappointed for us to come home I think ? Definitely recommended! She kept in touch with us through our trip and I was at ease knowing she was with them!”

“Caelyn was great! We did a last minute booking and she took great care of our pups. She watched all 3 at the same time and she did great communicating with us. Strongly recommend to book her!”

“This was my first time using Felicia. She did a great job, communicated well, & sent videos and pictures to keep me updated. She followed instructions and spent time outside with my dog, which he loves. I'm glad she was able to dog sit and look forward to having her do it again soon!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals of all sizes my whole life. I have my own beloved dog at home and enjoy walking and watching my friends’ and family’s pets. Aside from dog sitting, I also was a veterinary technician at an emergency vet clinic so I have a lot of experience handling animals. I am confident in caring for puppies, seniors, and pets with medical needs. I can administer medication, monitor changes in behavior or health, and provide attentive care. I love spending my time with animals and helping out owners! I currently am in radiography technician school full time job Monday through Friday but would love to help you out in the evening and anytime on the weekends when you need! When caring for pets in the owner’s home I try my best to create an environment that is safe and comfortable for both the pets and the owners. Owners leaving can be stressful for pets so I always want to relieve some of that stress for them.

About: Hello, my name is Arianna!! I have a profound love for animals, especially dogs! Currently, I have a Dutch Shepherd/Jack Russel Terrier mix, her name is Dakotah. She’s such a sweet dog! Because she is such a major part of my world, I completely understand firsthand how incredibly intimidating and scary it can be to hand over the keys and trust someone else to watch your beloved pets. I deeply relate to that exact anxiety whenever I need to find a sitter for Dakotah. Because of that personal understanding, my standard of care is built on absolute transparency. I am honest, trustworthy, exceptionally reliable, hard-working, and responsible. I am incredibly big on planning ahead, sticking to the same routines, and paying strict attention to detail to guarantee that everything goes exactly as planned without any disruptions. When you trust me with your fur babies, I treat them with the same protective focus and structure that I give my own dog. I will always ensure your doggy is fully taken care of, thoroughly loved, and kept safe while mom/dad are away so that they never feel alone or abandoned. I would absolutely love the opportunity to watch your precious dogs, so let’s set up a time to connect and get this pawty started!! I am currently home full-time, so all the doggies will have my full attention!! 📅 Scheduling & Availability Policy To ensure the best, most attentive care for every pet, my schedule operates on a strict first-come, first-served basis. • Securing Your Spot: Bookings are only secured once they are officially confirmed through the app. • Rotating Schedules: For clients with rotating or non-traditional work schedules, please send your dates as far in advance as possible to guarantee your spots! ⏰ Fixed Schedule Slots I prioritize my pre-confirmed bookings to guarantee top-tier, unhurried care. New bookings must fit within my remaining available time slots, so that no pet's care is rushed or disrupted. 📸 Privacy & Photo Updates Policy I love keeping you updated with daily photos of your doggy! Please note that to honor the privacy and consent of all owners, my updates feature only your dog. While your pet will absolutely enjoy socializing and playing with others, my policy is that I do not capture or distribute multi-dog photos. 🏡 Boarding & Doggy Day Care • ☀️ Indoor & Outdoor Time: For boarding and doggy day care, I give the dog(s) a daily walk along with spending time both indoors and outdoors. I have a few indestructible toys for the dog(s) to play with along with water that is always out if they need water. • 💧 Specialized Hydration: I can put the water up if there are any dogs that drink too much water. • 📋 Stress-Free Routines: I like to closely follow a routine for each dog to maximize the care and comfort because the dog is in a new environment and it can be stressful for the dog. 🚗 Drop-Ins, Walking, & House-Sitting • 🔒 Home Security & Comfort: For drop-in visits, walking, or house-sitting, I like to follow the owner’s care instructions and routine since I will be dropping by their own home environment. • 🔄 Seamless Routine Continuity: I want to continue with their own routine to maximize that dog’s security, comfort, and routine. 🛡️ Safety & House Rules • Collars Stay On: All dogs must wear a collar or harness during their stay. • Instant Control: This policy ensures I can quickly handle any emergency or sudden situation. • Your Liability: My home is a structured environment where safety always comes before comfort. • No Exceptions: I enforce this standard rule to protect your pet and everyone else. 💬 My Commitment to You • 🤝 Building Lasting Trust: I believe that elite care starts with building a solid foundation of trust with both the owner and the dog. I focus heavily on creating a calm, safe, and intuitive connection with your dog from the very first meeting, ensuring they feel completely at ease. • 📱 Clear Communication: I am very big on communication because it allows me to meet you where you are at and also to meet your dog where they are at. I believe communication helps set everyone up for success. It is also to ensure both owner and dog(s) is/are comfortable and secure in knowing that I am taking care of and loving on their furry child. Because at the end of the day that is what I am here to do: I am here to take care of and love on your furry child as if the dog is my own for the time being!!

About: I have been pet sitting for about 2 years, but it is my favorite side job! I love animals of all kinds and sizes and have been trusted to stay in homes to take care of people’s beloved family members, and their home. I’m currently an elementary school teacher at Wolffarth Elementary in North Lubbock. Depending on what area I am in, I will usually leave with enough time to get to work by 7am. I cannot leave for lunch as I sadly only have 30 minutes, but I am done by 4 every day. This makes it easy to spend the evening with them and I won’t have different hours every day - routine is great for pets! I also share holidays with students so I am pretty available for sitting jobs at those times. While my apartment is a 1 bedroom, it is cozy and great for lower energy dogs. I have plenty of space for them to lay out and they stay in the air conditioning all day. For more active pets, I live right next to a middle school with a paved track for walking, and I am close to a park for dogs who love to run and play fetch!

About: I have owned a pet for 16 years so I have a very good knowledge of animal care. I have two personal dog and many family pets! I’d love to watch your fur buddy! I am currently doing online schooling with no other job, therefore I am available at all times of the day. I am in college and have lots of free time due to having a light load! I can take your pets out as often as needed! I love giving furry friends treats and lots of play time! I have one puppy who eats at 8am and 8pm and goes out around every hour!
About: Hi, I’m Leslie! Owner of Leslie’s Critter Care. Caring for animals has always been my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I'm currently pursuing my degree in Social Work, where I've developed a deep appreciation for building trust, showing compassion, and meeting the unique needs of every individual. Those same values inspire the compassionate, personalized care I provide for every pet and every family I have the privilege of serving. At home, I'm a proud dog mom to three Australian Shepherds, Misty, Voodoo, and Sadie. They each have their own unique personalities, and they remind me every day why our pets deserve to be loved, understood, and cared for like family. They are the heart behind Leslie's Critter Care, and the inspiration for everything I do. With more than six years of experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and anxious dogs, I'm comfortable adapting my care to meet each pet's unique personality and needs. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, a senior who needs a slower pace, or an anxious pup who just needs a little extra patience, my goal is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I believe great pet care starts with trust, communication, and treating every pet as if they were part of my own family. You'll receive regular updates and photos, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in loving hands. I am a stay at home dog mom and available to take care of your babies at any time! I have a fenced yard so your babies will have lots of room to run and plenty of toys to play with. In my home my dogs are let out several times a day. I have a fenced yard for them to run around and play in! I have lots of toys and a variety of treats to offer. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs and senior dogs. I can provide lots of one on one time and love.
About: I have grown up with animals since I can remember. I have cared for all sizes and breeds and have raised a few from birth. I also have chickens and have been around livestock. I am very detail oriented and will always ask questions if I am unsure. I also work in home healthcare so I am used to taking care of pets in my patients homes. I love animals and will always treat and care for them as my own. I am starting school so I am flexible. My weekends are pretty free but I will always be available if you trust me to watch your baby! I have a fully fenced yard, plenty of room, and a barn with an ac unit if your baby likes to have their own space. I have two Dalmatians that are both neutered and very friendly. I will always have my eyes on them because I would never want to put your baby in an uncomfortable environment. My dogs are very used to being around others but are trained enough to be able to be separate areas of the house/ yard if needed.
About: I have a lot more experience doing check-in visits and house sitting. I have been house sitting and doing check-in visits for an elderly dog when needed for two years. I have only boarded once for two weeks and it was a great experience! The dog I took care of became a part of our little family when she was with us! I do not mind picking up messes, giving medication if needed, and paying special attention to animals that may require extra duties. I love animals so much! I promise to love your animals just like I love my own! I hope to be hearing from you soon! I am currently a stay at home mom looking to bring in some additional income. I have plenty of time during my days to pet sit or do drop ins. I have a cat and a 3 year old. My animals are never left unsupervised with each other or my child. I can set them up in our large bathroom if that’s what the family wants. However, I prefer them to have free roam of the house when I am home which is a majority of the time. I would take on daily walks around my apartment complex so you will need to provide collar or harness and a leash. I am available most of the day so potty breaks can occur as frequently as every 2 hours.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Slide on Rover is $32.19 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 240 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Slide. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Slide walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Slide maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Slide choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Slide. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
