I was very concerned about leaving our Morkie, Jaxson, at home for 10 days because we had never left him that long before. However, Jaxson immediately fell in love with Victoria and looked so happy in all the photos that Victoria sent us. He especially loved the walks that she took him on. We also have a small Senegal Parrot named Pum’kin, who is 30 years old. Our “little old lady” Pum’kin can get a bit grumpy and screechy at times. Victoria did a great job with her too and sent us photos of a curious and happy Pum’kin every day. Pum’kin’s cage was spotless when we got home and Pum’kin was very calm and happy. ❤️ So, Jaxson and Pum’kin both fell in love with Victoria and we did too. We are so grateful that she was able to help us out. We’ve already booked our next trip and have complete confidence that Jaxson, Pum’kin, and our home will be very well cared for.”

About: I have been pet sitting for about 2 years, but it is my favorite side job! I love animals of all kinds and sizes and have been trusted to stay in homes to take care of people’s beloved family members, and their home. I’m currently an elementary school teacher at Wolffarth Elementary in North Lubbock. Depending on what area I am in, I will usually leave with enough time to get to work by 7am. I cannot leave for lunch as I sadly only have 30 minutes, but I am done by 4 every day. This makes it easy to spend the evening with them and I won’t have different hours every day - routine is great for pets! I also share holidays with students so I am pretty available for sitting jobs at those times. While my apartment is a 1 bedroom, it is cozy and great for lower energy dogs. I have plenty of space for them to lay out and they stay in the air conditioning all day. For more active pets, I live right next to a middle school with a paved track for walking, and I am close to a park for dogs who love to run and play fetch!

At home, I care for my own cat, who has access to a stimulating and enriching environment with plenty of toys, scratchers, and high-quality treats, including freeze-dried options like shrimp, minnows, and chicken hearts. I maintain a clean space by regularly cleaning the litter box every 1–3 days using natural, fragrance-free litter. He also has access to a stainless steel water fountain with a filter to promote clean, bacteria-free water, and I support his health with a balanced dry diet supplemented with salmon oil. This level of care reflects how I treat every pet—paying attention to detail, maintaining cleanliness, and making sure their physical and emotional needs are met.

About: Available for initial meet up - to ensure a good match. I've had many pets throughout my life. Dogs, cats, lizards, birds, frogs, rabbits, an injured horned owl, raccoons, and fish! I currently share my apartment with one special cat - a rescue cat named Mogwai. I've had both inside and outside dogs. I have trained several of my dogs (small breeds) so I have a fair amount of knowledge. I'm a 36 year old working from home as a retirement financial investment manager during the day. I have a lot of flexibility to be able to also take care of your pet! I think Rover is a great way to meet some cool pups and cats and help people with the many responsibilities of pet ownership. I look forward to meeting you and your pet/pets! Pet care fits easily into my routine since I work from home. I have ample flexibility to care for your fur baby. I’m an active person who like to talk walks and be outside while also loving a good pet cuddle. I ensure it is a good match between me and the animal. Generally speaking, let’s usually like me. I’d give them plenty of attention and love while also ensuring their basic needs like food, water, relief and exercise are met.

About: I have grown up with animals since I can remember. I have cared for all sizes and breeds and have raised a few from birth. I also have chickens and have been around livestock. I am very detail oriented and will always ask questions if I am unsure. I also work in home healthcare so I am used to taking care of pets in my patients homes. I love animals and will always treat and care for them as my own. I am starting school so I am flexible. My weekends are pretty free but I will always be available if you trust me to watch your baby! I have a fully fenced yard, plenty of room, and a barn with an ac unit if your baby likes to have their own space. I have two Dalmatians that are both neutered and very friendly. I will always have my eyes on them because I would never want to put your baby in an uncomfortable environment. My dogs are very used to being around others but are trained enough to be able to be separate areas of the house/ yard if needed.
