Victoria is by far the best and most attentive pet sitter/house sitter that we have ever had. I was very concerned about leaving our Morkie, Jaxson, at home for 10 days because we had never left him that long before. However, Jaxson immediately fell in love with Victoria and looked so happy in all the photos that Victoria sent us. He especially loved the walks that she took him on. We also have a small Senegal Parrot named Pum’kin, who is 30 years old. Our “little old lady” Pum’kin can get a bit grumpy and screechy at times. Victoria did a great job with her too and sent us photos of a curious and happy Pum’kin every day. Pum’kin’s cage was spotless when we got home and Pum’kin was very calm and happy. ❤️ So, Jaxson and Pum’kin both fell in love with Victoria and we did too. We are so grateful that she was able to help us out. We’ve already booked our next trip and have complete confidence that Jaxson, Pum’kin, and our home will be very well cared for.

About: Available for initial meet up - to ensure a good match. I've had many pets throughout my life. Dogs, cats, lizards, birds, frogs, rabbits, an injured horned owl, raccoons, and fish! I currently share my apartment with one special cat - a rescue cat named Mogwai. I've had both inside and outside dogs. I have trained several of my dogs (small breeds) so I have a fair amount of knowledge. I'm a 36 year old working from home as a retirement financial investment manager during the day. I have a lot of flexibility to be able to also take care of your pet! I think Rover is a great way to meet some cool pups and cats and help people with the many responsibilities of pet ownership. I look forward to meeting you and your pet/pets! Pet care fits easily into my routine since I work from home. I have ample flexibility to care for your fur baby. I’m an active person who like to talk walks and be outside while also loving a good pet cuddle. I ensure it is a good match between me and the animal. Generally speaking, let’s usually like me. I’d give them plenty of attention and love while also ensuring their basic needs like food, water, relief and exercise are met.

Kathryn was great. She communicated with me beautifully and sent pictures. More importantly my dogs were very happy. One has bad separation anxiety but, it didn’t seem too bad this time. I would most definitely book Kathryn again and recommend her to anyone else looking for a sitter!!

About: I have been pet sitting for about 2 years, but it is my favorite side job! I love animals of all kinds and sizes and have been trusted to stay in homes to take care of people’s beloved family members, and their home. I’m currently an elementary school teacher at Wolffarth Elementary in North Lubbock. Depending on what area I am in, I will usually leave with enough time to get to work by 7am. I cannot leave for lunch as I sadly only have 30 minutes, but I am done by 4 every day. This makes it easy to spend the evening with them and I won’t have different hours every day - routine is great for pets! I also share holidays with students so I am pretty available for sitting jobs at those times. While my apartment is a 1 bedroom, it is cozy and great for lower energy dogs. I have plenty of space for them to lay out and they stay in the air conditioning all day. For more active pets, I live right next to a middle school with a paved track for walking, and I am close to a park for dogs who love to run and play fetch!

About: I know firsthand that dogs aren't just pets—they are cherished members of the family who make our lives infinitely brighter. When your dog is with me, they’ll be loved, pampered, and cared for as if they were my very own! I have extensive experience watching dogs for friends and family across all stages of life, from energetic puppies who need consistent routine to sweet senior dogs who require gentle care and extra patience. I’m comfortable handling dogs of all shapes and sizes—whether it's a tiny Chihuahua, a cheeky Scottish Terrier, a playful Boxer, or managing a pack of up to 5 large dogs at once! Feeding quirks, medication routines, or unique habits? Nothing is too strange— I’m always happy to accommodate your dog’s specific needs to keep them comfortable and happy. Plus, with my super flexible schedule, I’m readily available for daily walks, quick check-ins, or mid-day play sessions whenever your busy calendar demands. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily life as an active remote worker. I start every morning with an early workout and love staying active throughout the day, which means your dog gets guaranteed, high-quality outdoor time before the summer heat sets in! Because I work from home, my schedule is extremely flexible. Whether your dog needs a mid-day bathroom break, an afternoon walk to help me hit my step goal, or just a quiet companion by my desk while I work, I’m around to give them the continuous care and attention they need. When staying in or visiting your home, my top priority is maintaining your pet’s familiar routine so they feel safe, calm, and loved while you’re away. I will follow your exact instructions for feeding, medication, walk schedules, and bedtime routines down to the detail. Whether your pet loves high-energy fetch sessions, long neighborhood walks, or just snuggling on the couch, I give them my undivided attention. I double-check all doors, gates, and ensure all household hazards are out of reach, and keep emergency vet details on hand at all times. You’ll get detailed daily check-ins with clear photos and updates so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I treat your home with the utmost care and respect—keeping areas tidy, taking care of mail/plants if needed, and leaving your house just as clean as I found it.

About: I have grown up with animals since I can remember. I have cared for all sizes and breeds and have raised a few from birth. I also have chickens and have been around livestock. I am very detail oriented and will always ask questions if I am unsure. I also work in home healthcare so I am used to taking care of pets in my patients homes. I love animals and will always treat and care for them as my own. I am starting school so I am flexible. My weekends are pretty free but I will always be available if you trust me to watch your baby! I have a fully fenced yard, plenty of room, and a barn with an ac unit if your baby likes to have their own space. I have two Dalmatians that are both neutered and very friendly. I will always have my eyes on them because I would never want to put your baby in an uncomfortable environment. My dogs are very used to being around others but are trained enough to be able to be separate areas of the house/ yard if needed.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember—starting at just 10 years old with our family pets. Growing up in a home with 7 dogs and 1 cat has given me hands-on experience with a wide range of personalities, needs, and care routines. I’ve helped raise puppies from their earliest stages all the way into adulthood. Because of this, I understand how important it is to provide pets with patience, consistency, and lots of love. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more relaxed and routine-oriented, I’m confident in my ability to keep them safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m a full-time teacher, which means I have a structured and dependable schedule throughout the school year (Unavailable from 7am-4pm). During the summer months, I do not work, so I have much more flexibility and availability. I’m available during weekdays and Saturdays to provide any pet care assistance you may need, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to ensure your pets are well taken care of. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, portion sizes, medications if needed, and preferred exercise routines. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection, while also respecting their individual personalities and energy levels.

About: I’ve taken care of animals of all sizes my whole life. I have my own beloved dog at home and enjoy walking and watching my friends’ and family’s pets. Aside from dog sitting, I also was a veterinary technician at an emergency vet clinic so I have a lot of experience handling animals. I am confident in caring for puppies, seniors, and pets with medical needs. I can administer medication, monitor changes in behavior or health, and provide attentive care. I love spending my time with animals and helping out owners! I currently am in radiography technician school full time job Monday through Friday but would love to help you out in the evening and anytime on the weekends when you need! When caring for pets in the owner’s home I try my best to create an environment that is safe and comfortable for both the pets and the owners. Owners leaving can be stressful for pets so I always want to relieve some of that stress for them.

FAQs for House Sitting - Reese Air Force Base

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Reese Air Force Base on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 239 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Reese Air Force Base. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Reese Air Force Base walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Reese Air Force Base maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Reese Air Force Base choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Reese Air Force Base. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
