About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a little girl. I’ve had the joy of caring for my own dogs, a big pup for 9 years and a little pup for 5 years and they’ve taught me so much about love, patience, responsibility, and companionship. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s playing fetch, going on walks, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. Caring for dogs has also taught me what it means to be a mother to be patient, attentive, and always make sure they feel safe and loved. When your dog stays with me, I’ll treat them with the same love, care, and attention I give my own. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work from home and my schedules are pretty flexible. I will have plenty of time to play with your fur babies and take them on a walk too. I am home all days a week with my two fur babies We let out dogs on furnitures, your pets can lounge and get comfortable anywhere they want to. We have a big fenced backyard. About: I'm a West Texas native — born here, schooled in El Paso, graduate work at Texas Tech — who spent twenty years in the Seattle area before coming home to Lubbock. I've been caring for animals professionally since 2003, most of that as All Shook Up Dogs and Design in Washington, where I served more than 200 regular clients: drop-in visits, walks, house sitting, vet and groom transport, medication administration, and senior care. Alongside it I've been a nonprofit executive director, a dance educator, and a small business owner, and I'm currently finishing a master's in art history. I hold degrees from the University of Notre Dam, Texas Tech, and Northeastern. What all of it has in common is showing up on time for people who are counting on me. My own dogs are the reason I'm good at this. I have six, and they are not decorative. We train — herding, agility, nose work, and a frankly unreasonable amount of ball. I cook for them. I study canine behavior and nutrition the way I study anything else, which is to say obsessively. I've spent years in Australian Shepherd rescue and have served on the national board of a breed rescue organization since 2012, which means I've seen what happens to smart dogs whose needs go unmet. That's why my specialty is herding breeds. A bored Aussie, Border Collie, or Heeler doesn't need another lap around the block — it needs a job. Reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs with complicated medical routines are all welcome here. I work in your home so your pet keeps their own routine, their own bed, and their own smells. You'll get photos and an honest update every visit. I have full availability Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and I can take early morning and late evening visits the rest of the week around a standing commitment. Holidays are usually open — just ask. Midday and recurring visits are my sweet spot. If your dog needs a reliable lunchtime break while you're at work, I can build a standing schedule and keep it consistent week after week. I take a limited number of clients so nobody gets a rushed visit. I'm building toward pet care full-time, so my availability will keep opening up. If we're not a fit for your dates right now, ask me again in a few months. I work in your home, on your pet's schedule. Before the first visit we'll do a walk-through together — feeding, medications, where the leash lives, which door sticks, what your dog does when the doorbell rings, and who your vet is. I'd rather ask ten questions up front than guess once. Dogs stay leashed unless you've told me otherwise and the space is genuinely secure. I lock up behind me every time, and I'll bring in mail, rotate lights, and water plants so the house looks lived in while you're gone. If something seems off — a refused meal, limping, vomiting, a dog who just isn't acting like themselves — you'll hear from me right away, and I'll get to your vet or the emergency clinic if that's what's needed. Nothing gets hidden or held back for an end-of-trip summary. I have dogs of my own at home and I change clothes and wash up between households, so nothing travels from my place to yours.
About: I have three senior dogs of my own. They are my family and I’ll will treat your fur babies the same. I will send photos at drop ins. I work part time. I’m off at noon Monday through Friday. I’m a tax accountant so I work til 5 during tax season. I’m available on the weekends. During drop in visits, I will follow instructions and send photos if wanted. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
