“On time. Professional. Communicative. Friendly. Efficient. And Knowledgable ! I love that she works at a vet clinic so has ability & knowledge to provide care and assistance for my elderly baby with medical issues! I’ll def rebook in future!!!”
“When I got home to my kitty, her water dishes were full and her litter box was empty, so I could tell Marjorie had kept everything just right. Each day I received photos, replies to my texts, and assurance that my sweet elder kitty was receiving love and attention.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for many years in all sizes from toy to extra large. I also work with birds, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I have veterinary assistant experience and love all furr babies with all my heart! I'm available on weekends and most evenings to care for your sweet babies. I do have a full time job that keeps me away from home during the week. I have a large fenced yard or can crate your baby if needed. I follow instructions to the letter if I visit your home to care for your baby.
“Amazing sitter! She was very attentive and understanding when taking care of my cats. She sent many thoughtful updates and photos! Very caring and accommodating! Highly recommend!”

“Gwendolyn provided the highest level of possible service for our sweet girl. Our dog has a few disabilities that make basic care, difficult. From the start, Gwendolyn took the extra time to talk to both my husband and I as well as interact with our dog to fully understand our Angel. I will make Gwendolyn our go-to carer.”
“We had just moved and our two cats were nervous and unadjusted. Linda took good care of them, found them in their various hiding spots, and put up with some shenanigans. We got plenty of pictures and messages along the way. She also brought in some packages and plants. Will use again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind and size since I was little and started house sitting as soon as I could drive. I love getting to love on different dogs and cats (if they let me) since I moved away from home. I have house sat for multiple families for longer than a week and I do my best to the dogs/cats in their normal routine or as close as I can to it. I am working part time in the mornings, but will have plenty of time late afternoon/ night to play with or walk your dogs every night In my clients home I try to do whatever their owners do on a daily basis to keep them on schedule/ to feel like normal.
About: I love animals, but dogs just have my heart. I have had many dog pets in my life. One whom was sick since she was born and i had to give medication daily. That was never a problem to me. I currently have two fur babies, one that i found on the street that someone had thrown and one that i adopted. My fur baby that was found on the street has a problem with its hips and I try my best to keep him comfortable. ALL animals are beautiful! Hello Fur Parents! I am currently in the Medical Field as a CNA/Phlebotomist. My work schedule is mornings/almost afternoon. I am available in the morning for those whom can’t be attentive to their fur babies due to being at work. While i’m going in to work my husband is almost out so fur babies will not be alone too long. We are a team!! I have a home that has a backyard that is securely fenced and is pretty specious for your babies to burn all that energy out. I also have two of my own fur babies who are the most loving and playful that have what feels like a million toys who are waiting to be shared with.
About: I worked professionally as a pet dog trainer for approximately four years, where I helped owners improve obedience, leash manners, behavior issues, and overall structure for their dogs. This experience allowed me to work hands-on with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, ages, and energy levels. In addition to my professional training background, I currently train and compete with my own dog, which keeps my handling skills sharp and gives me continued real-world experience with exercise routines, enrichment, and behavioral management. I am certified in pet first aid and CPR and always prioritize safety, consistency, and clear communication with owners. I am comfortable handling large breeds, high-drive dogs, reactive dogs, puppies, and dogs that require routine reinforcement of training. I aim to provide dependable, calm, and structured care so dogs feel secure and owners feel confident while they are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work a structured full-time schedule, which allows me to reliably provide morning, evening, and weekend care. I am active and used to exercising dogs regularly, so walks, drop-ins, and consistent routines are easy for me to maintain. I plan my week in advance and only accept bookings I can fully commit to, ensuring pets receive dependable and attentive care. Safety and structure are always my top priorities. With my background as a professional dog trainer and certification in pet first aid and CPR, I am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. I follow owner instructions closely regarding feeding, medication, crate routines, and exercise. I use proper leash handling, situational awareness, and calm leadership to keep dogs safe and secure both in my home and in clients’ homes.
About: My name is Holly and I am a big animal lover! I have had dogs my whole life and taken care of them. I also worked at a doggy daycare and boarding for 2 years. I am experienced in all sizes and age in dog care and walking, understanding and familiar with different dog attitudes such aa anxiety and others, feeding schedules, administering medication, and any specific pup needs! I am currently a student at Texas Tech University and also work a part-time job! With it being summer my weekdays are pretty open! I’ll update my availability regularly! Weekends I am pretty open but I’d prefer at least a days notice! As I am in an apartment I will be doing care in client homes. Caring for a dog in a client home would entail hanging out with them the whole time while I’m there whether it be sitting in the living room together or playing outside and walking!
About: Hi, I’m Audrey. I’m a dog walker and pet sitter serving the Lubbock County area and I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and house sitting. I’d love to help care for your dog!! I grew up around dogs and have experience with many different breeds and backgrounds — from Chihuahuas Basenjis to Huskies and Pitbulls. I know how to work with dogs and other animals who have special needs or sensitivities from my time helping on my grandmother’s rescue farm. I’ve also picked up grooming and basic training skills, so I can handle brushing or practice commands if that’s part of your dog’s routine. My schedule is flexible, and I focus on giving each pet the attention they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, or extra care for older dogs and those with special needs, I’m patient and reliable. :) People I know often trust me with their own animals, and I bring that same care to every booking. I’ll send regular photos and updates so you can feel confident your dog is happy and well looked after If you’d like, we can do a quick meet and greet first to see if it’s a good fit. Please send me any anything you’d like to inquire about! Availability: 🐾 Weekdays: Early mornings, afternoons, evenings 🐾 Weekends: Open availability Saturday, Sunday I’m happy to coordinate exact visit times based on your pet’s routine. Just let me know what works best, and I’ll do my best to make it happen! I currently attend school, work, and volunteer entirely online, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can usually accommodate short-notice bookings. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each animal’s unique needs, preferences, and boundaries so they feel secure and cared for, even when you’re not home. I’m always respectful of your space and keep things clean and tidy while house sitting or dropping in. I follow all instructions closely and ask questions if anything is unclear to make sure your pet’s routine stays consistent. I pay close attention to pet body language and behavior so I can respond calmly and appropriately in any situation. I’ll never force interaction, especially with shy or nervous pets. I’m also confident handling high-energy dogs or pets with special needs. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you never have to wonder how things are going. My goal is to earn your trust and make your pet feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Slaton. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
