About: I love Rover! I mean, what better job exists than to get paid to spend time with other people's animals? My name is Dan, and I have been around animals my whole life. Currently I am a cat dad of three girls, but I am also comfortable and familiar with most dogs, rabbits, and other animals as well. Probably the only animals I would not be comfortable with are mice and rats. To each their own, of course. I love to spend time with new animals. Depending of course on how friendly yours are, I like to do more than just feed them and walk them. If your cats or dogs like to play, then I am the person you want. I have my own three cats who take up all my time when I'm not out taking care of other people's animals, or otherwise working. I do this and other gig jobs, so my schedule is pretty flexible. The only time I'm usually not available is if I have already made prior commitments. I treat animals like they are children, because to me, they are. My own three are my favorite people in this world, but I love animals in general. I especially enjoy cats, friendly dogs, and giant rabbits. 😃 I like to treat each cat, dog, rabbit, etc, as the unique personality they are. Some cats, for example, are a little more standoffish than others. The best thing to do with them is to not push them. Nobody cat or human likes someone standing in front of them demanding attention ! Some dogs, for example, are very laid back and really just want to lay next to you and snuggle. Others are always ready to play! I am knowledgeable about safety, and when I am doing a drop in visit, I always keep an eye out for anything that doesn't look right. When I am dog walking, I like to go places that are not so busy with traffic, I keep my attention fully on them, and on everything going on around us. When I am with your animals, they are my first and only priority. I do not mix animals from different families. It's stressful enough that they are around a new person.
About: I have absolutely adored animals of all kinds since I was young. I strive for pet sitting and care to be more than a passion but a career path. I’m more than willing to dedicate my time into making what can be a stressful time for both owners and pets alike enjoyable and rewarding! Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
