About: I have a dog of my own and my sister has a cat. I've taken care of pets for family and friends. Both staying in house and dropping in for feeding and potty breaks. I firmly believe pets are members of the family, a friend and a companion not just an animal. I have very flexible hours. I will be returning to college in the fall but i will continue accepting bookings. Im typically available morning to late at night. For Drop-in visits or house sitting that require early morning care I am able to work it with my schedule with no issue. For drop-in visits I'll check in minimum 3 times daily for feeding, potty breaks, and short playtimes. For house sitting i am happy to stay overnight. In the event I need to leave for any reason, I'm happy to take your fluffy loved one on a car ride with me if acceptable and only if i am not getting out of the car.
About: I grew up training and showing dogs! I've also been a trusted volunteer dog walker/foster parent for local humane societies in the past, taking care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages! My family frequently fostered litters of puppies as young as 6 weeks. I also have plenty of experience with seniors and the specific health problems that come with that, after loving my cocker spaniels right up to the end. Life doesn't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, so I'll jump on any chance for some pupper love! I daylight as a professional wildlife biologist, but I am currently between jobs and so have all the time in the world to give your four-legged companions! My schedule is wide open. Safety is, of course, the highest priority, and reading animal body language is the key to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for your pet and avoiding stressful situations. This is a skill I feel very confident with after so many years of varied pet care. Second to safety is fun! Whether that looks like a brisk walk, a casual stroll, a laser pointer, a game of fetch, or just getting some relaxed quality time in is entirely up to your pet. About: Available for initial meet up - to ensure a good match. I've had many pets throughout my life. Dogs, cats, lizards, birds, frogs, rabbits, an injured horned owl, raccoons, and fish! I currently share my apartment with one special cat - a rescue cat named Mogwai. I've had both inside and outside dogs. I have trained several of my dogs (small breeds) so I have a fair amount of knowledge. I'm a 36 year old working from home as a retirement financial investment manager during the day. About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid. They are loyal and can bring so much peace and joy to our lives. I lost my soul dog Bruiser several years ago and miss him dearly every day. He had many serious medical issues in his nearly 11 years, therefore I am very proficient at handling special needs pups and dogs. Medication administration, extra love, being extra diligent when it comes to monitoring for any issues and helping them feel safe while in my care. I am patient when it comes to gaining their trust and will not push them to instantly love me since a lot of dogs are not ready for that right away. But I will be persistent in working toward developing that trust so they can feel confident and loved while you are away. I am currently retired from traditional employment, so my schedule is highly flexible! I am available 7 days a week and can work with most any time of day that you are in need of.
