We had a great first experience with Sonia. My dog adores her, and she went above and beyond by coming out in the snow! Would happily book again.

About: I grew up with large dogs -Cane Corsos, Mountain Malamutes, German Shepherds, Great Danes, etc.- all my life. From small dogs full of energy to gentle giants, I take the time to get to know your fur family's needs so their routine is comfortable, consistent, and stress-free while you're away 🐶❤️ I'm a full-time student with Rover as my part-time job year round and during peak holiday periods; I do drop-in visits, house sitting, and walks! My personal schedule fluctuates frequently which provides an incredibly flexible schedule based on your fur children's routines. 🛑 🗓️ I do require at least a weeks notice for bookings and can't guarantee last minute scheduling. 🛑 🏠 I cannot provide boarding in my home. I prefer going to where the pets are the most comfortable for their care, in their own home. 🏠 At your home, I prefer to have every detail possible to make sure your fur family's routine is being upheld from administering medicine, outside time, to minimal home care such as watching over plants. 💊 If your fur children have specific needs (senior, kitten, puppy, surgery recovery, etc.), I'd love to open up a conversation on how I can make them feel the most comfortable while you're away.

About: Hi! I’m Kaytlyn, a Texas Tech senior with lifelong, hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and donkeys—so I’m confident handling different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Being around animals my whole life has taught me how to keep them safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy. Pet sitting isn’t just a side job for me—it’s something I take seriously. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, and I’m committed to earning that trust every time. What you can expect from me: • Reliable, consistent care you don’t have to worry about • Regular updates + lots of photos • Attention to your pet’s routine, behavior, and comfort • Someone who treats your pet like their own Whether your dog needs exercise, structure, or just extra love while you’re away, I’m very intentional with the care I give. I’d love to be someone you can rely on and feel completely confident leaving your pet with. I’m a full-time student at Texas Tech with a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care. I plan my days around my bookings and am able to adjust around classes as needed. Pet sitting is an important part of how I support myself, so I’m committed to being dependable and working with your schedule. I grew up caring for many dogs and cats so I’m very comfortable around animals and understand how important safety and trust are. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping them comfortable in their familiar environments while giving them plenty of attention and exercise. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure dogs are safely leashed, monitored, and well cared for during every walk.

About: Available for initial meet up - to ensure a good match. I've had many pets throughout my life. Dogs, cats, lizards, birds, frogs, rabbits, an injured horned owl, raccoons, and fish! I currently share my apartment with one special cat - a rescue cat named Mogwai. I've had both inside and outside dogs. I have trained several of my dogs (small breeds) so I have a fair amount of knowledge. I'm a 36 year old working from home as a retirement financial investment manager during the day. I have a lot of flexibility to be able to also take care of your pet! I think Rover is a great way to meet some cool pups and cats and help people with the many responsibilities of pet ownership. I look forward to meeting you and your pet/pets! Pet care fits easily into my routine since I work from home. I have ample flexibility to care for your fur baby. I’m an active person who like to talk walks and be outside while also loving a good pet cuddle. I ensure it is a good match between me and the animal. Generally speaking, let’s usually like me. I’d give them plenty of attention and love while also ensuring their basic needs like food, water, relief and exercise are met.

About: I grew up training and showing dogs! I've also been a trusted volunteer dog walker/foster parent for local humane societies in the past, taking care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages! My family frequently fostered litters of puppies as young as 6 weeks. I also have plenty of experience with seniors and the specific health problems that come with that, after loving my cocker spaniels right up to the end. Life doesn't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, so I'll jump on any chance for some pupper love! I daylight as a professional wildlife biologist, but I am currently between jobs and so have all the time in the world to give your four-legged companions! My schedule is wide open. Safety is, of course, the highest priority, and reading animal body language is the key to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for your pet and avoiding stressful situations. This is a skill I feel very confident with after so many years of varied pet care. Second to safety is fun! Whether that looks like a brisk walk, a casual stroll, a laser pointer, a game of fetch, or just getting some relaxed quality time in is entirely up to your pet. Regardless, I'm happy to fulfill their needs.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Shallowater. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
