About: I am a college student who has a love for all animals! I have always been the pet care go-to for family and friends, growing up. I figured why not make money, and make new furry friends?! I am a full-time college student who has time around classes for check-ins, and weekends open for animal-sitting! No job at the time so this will be where the money comes from! I am a grad student who is more than happy to hang out and play with your fur babies! Whether they need to play fetch and chase for hours, or just need company, I am the perfect candidate.
âJordyn was amazing!! She took great care of our pup sent updates and pictures! She made me feel so comfortable having her in our home. We will definitely be using her again!!â

âDominique was great! She communicated regularly about the cats and even took extra time to try to connect with my very shy kitty. I was able to enjoy my time away without worry. Thank you Dominique!â

About: I love animals, but dogs just have my heart. I have had many pet dogs in my life. One whom was born sick; she had a sever type of mange and i had to give medication daily and bathe frequently. That was never a problem to me. I currently have two fur babies, one that i found on the street that someone had thrown and one that i adopted. My fur baby that was found on the street has a problem with his hips and I try my best to keep him comfortable. ALL animals are beautiful! Hello Fur Parents! Need someone to have a companion the whole time youâre gone ? I got it, iâm always home! I am a full time momma trying to make a little extra cash to help my husband. Before staying home, I was in the Medical Field as a CNA/Phlebotomist but left that behind to stay home with my newborn baby! My husband is off (Fri. - Sun.) so he helps me on weekends which are my busiest. Weâre a team! I have a home that has a backyard that is securely fenced and is pretty specious for your babies to burn all that energy out. I also have two of my own fur babies who are the most loving and playful that have what feels like a million toys who are waiting to be shared with.

About: Iâve had dogs my whole life so caring for them comes naturally to me! Iâve also raised litters of puppies and I am very comfortable with young dogs, training basics, and all the extra attention puppies need. I understand that every dog is different, whether theyâre full of energy or need a slower, gentler pace. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while youâre away. Iâm in college right now, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I plan my classes and schoolwork around pet care, which makes it easy for me to give dogs the time and attention they need! I try to stick as closely as possible to your petâs normal routine. I make sure theyâre fed on time, get potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention!
About: I grew up training and showing dogs! I've also been a trusted volunteer dog walker/foster parent for local humane societies in the past, taking care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages! My family frequently fostered litters of puppies as young as 6 weeks. I also have plenty of experience with seniors and the specific health problems that come with that, after loving my cocker spaniels right up to the end. Life doesn't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, so I'll jump on any chance for some pupper love! I daylight as a professional wildlife biologist, but I am currently between jobs and so have all the time in the world to give your four-legged companions! My schedule is wide open. Safety is, of course, the highest priority, and reading animal body language is the key to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for your pet and avoiding stressful situations. This is a skill I feel very confident with after so many years of varied pet care. Second to safety is fun! Whether that looks like a brisk walk, a casual stroll, a laser pointer, a game of fetch, or just getting some relaxed quality time in is entirely up to your pet. Regardless, I'm happy to fulfill their needs.
About: I love animals and I would love to make yours feel loved and safe when you canât be there yourself. You will not be disappointed! I can accommodate your schedule! Long term or short term, I can come to them while you are away. I can help ease your worries! I will stand in for you while you are away and do things your way! Trust me with your pets while you canât be there

About: I have been pet sitting for about 2 years, but it is my favorite side job! I love animals of all kinds and sizes and have been trusted to stay in homes to take care of peopleâs beloved family members, and their home. Iâm currently an elementary school teacher at Wolffarth Elementary in North Lubbock. Depending on what area I am in, I will usually leave with enough time to get to work by 7am. I cannot leave for lunch as I sadly only have 30 minutes, but I am done by 4 every day. This makes it easy to spend the evening with them and I wonât have different hours every day - routine is great for pets! I also share holidays with students so I am pretty available for sitting jobs at those times. While my apartment is a 1 bedroom, it is cozy and great for lower energy dogs. I have plenty of space for them to lay out and they stay in the air conditioning all day. For more active pets, I live right next to a middle school with a paved track for walking, and I am close to a park for dogs who love to run and play fetch!
âWe have used Rachel multiple times and always had a wonderful experience. Our dogs love her. She has made sure our babies have been fed and potties and always reports with pictures. She has also returned to check on them whenever we have had travel delays. We will always choose Rachel whenever we have to leave town.â

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shallowater. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
