“Jennifer was great with our 3 large dogs! I was looking for someone with experience with dogs that can be rowdy/sometimes intimidating and was so nervous looking for someone new to introduce our dogs to but Jennifer was a perfect match and our dogs loved her. She was great at communication too. Her experience with large breed dogs made me feel very confident and will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little. From training puppies, to grooming, to senior dogs who may need gentle care. I look forward to meeting your babies! I work full time, but it is a banking job so it’s very flexible. I can check on your animals every morning occasionally during my lunch, and also after work. I’m off by 4. I am off every weekend as well so I have plenty of time to make sure your babies are well taken care of. In my home currently I have a puppy of my own. I have crate, plenty of toys to share, the best of quality food, extra water and food bowls. There is a lot of grass and a lake with sidewalk to take your puppy on walks. My puppy also does well with other dogs but can be separated if needed. I am very respectful of owners homes, as I would expect in return. I am providing a service and would not only want your animal to feel comfortable but you as well. I’ve sat for many family members, so I would treat my clients even better.

About: Not only do I have two of my own dogs whom I love very much, but my friends and family have their dogs who I help out with often. I pay attention to detail, so if you are working on specific training techniques I am happy to implement it while I’m with your pup!! Loving on dogs is the highlight of my day and I would love to help with your furry friends! I am a student, in my last year of school so I am hopping in between work and internship sites. However most evenings I can stop by for a check in or walk! Sometimes during the day I have availability and weekends are usually free as long as I’m in town! :) My pets are VERY spoiled! Treats on deck always and I am most definitely a helicopter dog mom! My pups are like my kids. I love cuddles, walks, and teaching new tricks. My dogs are inside dogs who live life to the fullest! I would love to do the same for yours!

About: Hi, I’m Camila! I’m a student at Texas Tech and a huge animal lover who genuinely loves spending time with dogs. I currently have two Bernese Mountain Dogs back home, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs and all their energy and personalities. Since I was a teenager, I’ve helped neighbors by walking and spending time with their dogs just because I enjoy it so much! I truly care about pets and love giving them lots of attention, patience, care, and affection. Being around animals has always made me happy, so this is something I genuinely enjoy doing! I’m in Lubbock for the summer taking classes during the day, but outside of that I’m pretty flexible and happy to work around your schedule. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or sitting, I can usually make it work! I live in an apartment near campus, but there are lots of green areas nearby and I’m also close to a dog park and great walking spots! I always make sure pets are safe on walks, stay on leash, and get lots of attention and care. I follow instructions closely and make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and happy the whole time!
“Paul was great -- came for a meet and great to learn about Scarlet and get to know her. Arrived right on time and delivered a snazzy report card on Scarlet's outing! She sacked out for a big nap afterwards. Will certainly be using Paul again!”

About: I have grown up with small dogs my whole life and currently have a cat named Rio, aka my best bud! I have experience from energetic puppies to senior dogs who might enjoy moving a little slower. I am comfortable with daily feeding and play routines for dogs and cats and value their schedule. I have some experience with giving pill medication to dogs and cats and walking dogs that are well behaved. I am willing to listen to and understand your pet’s routine and am dedicated to keeping them on track and happy. I work a full time monday through friday 8-5 job, but I am committed to making the most out of my pet sitting experiences. I might have shorter morning and/or lunch time visits, but in the evenings and on weekends I will have plenty of time to spend extra playing with your fur babies and making sure they feel loved. I will listen to and abide by client wishes and instructions on care. My goal is to make you feel at ease while away knowing your fur baby is safe and sound at home just waiting your return.
About: I’ve grown up with multiple dogs and there has always been pets in my house. I currently have a cat of my own, my family has a great dane and 2 cats, and some other personal pets i’ve had are guinaea pigs and a hedgehog! I am currently in nursing school so my schedule is very flexible! Right now I only have class once a week and fall semester I will only have a test every other week and then clinicals is my own schedule I have always had big dogs in my house so I can walk any size dog! I love playing with animals so I can stay as long as needed to play with the pets
“Gwendolyn provided the highest level of possible service for our sweet girl. Our dog has a few disabilities that make basic care, difficult. From the start, Gwendolyn took the extra time to talk to both my husband and I as well as interact with our dog to fully understand our Angel. I will make Gwendolyn our go-to carer.”
“Ciera (and her partner) took care of our kitties when we were travelling and did an amazing job! They were very punctual and sent us frequent updates of the cats, including photos and videos. They made sure to give every kitty attention and even got Nomnom to come out of hiding! Ciera was easy to communicate with and replied to messages promptly. Above all, she and her partner are very nice people and we would definitely have them look after our cats again. :)”

About: I have heart for dogs and the many contributing gifts and love they bring to a home. They are family and are just as important. I'm a full time traveling photographer with the luxury of making my own schedule. If I'm in town, I'm typically available any day of the week. I'm aware the dog doesn't understand the absence of the family so I take extra care to console and explain that mom & dad will be home soon. I verbally communicate with the dog and show lots of love so they feel safe. Typically on the first day, they are stressed and won't play. But I can usually get them to warm up to me by day 2.
About: I’ve spent a lot of time taking care of my parents senior pugs, my neighbors young labs, and my family friends huskys! I love dogs of all kind. I’m in nursing school so communication is big for me. I have days with clinicals and long class hours so being able to choose a schedule that works best for pets and me is top priority! I love caring for pets based on their needs. I’ve sat dogs who don’t want any love and dogs who jump all over you! Any kind of pet will get their preferred level of care and love.

“Jadeyn was great! Super kind and had good communication. She helped us out with lunch time check in’s for the week. She took cute pictures and left thoughtful updates every day showing that she spent quality time with our dog and cat for the full 30 mins. They were happy and calm each day when we got home from work.”

About: I’m a dedicated pet lover with hands-on experience caring for my own Labrador Retriever and other pets. I’m comfortable with active dogs, daily routines, and adapting to different personalities. What sets me apart is my reliability and attention to detail—I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I treat every animal like my own and keep owners updated for peace of mind. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I’m used to planning my days around responsibilities, so feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins fit naturally into my schedule. I already care for my own dog, so pet care is something I do every day. I’m reliable with routines and can adjust my availability to meet each pet’s needs. I have a fenced in yard, and I always clean up after pets. For cats I have a house they can roam. For dogs, depending on there energy levels I offer walks, play time, etc, whatever your dog needs!
“Taylor has been great for drop in visits with our puppy! Attends to all of her needs, takes her for a walk, keeps us updated at needed, and makes sure we have a happy pup. Will definitely use Taylor again in the future and refer her to others!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lubbock
Ava did a wonderful job in taking care of our kittens and dogs. She came daily for 10 days while we were out of town, fed the dogs, checked their water, fed our kittens, checked their water, cleaned their litter box daily. We have some wild ducks who show up so she was kind to put food and water out for them daily also. When we came back and she came by to say goodbye, the pets were so comfortable with her and at ease. We plan on using Ava again in a few months. She is very pleasant, follows directions well and did a super job keeping up with four pets daily. She also kept us updated daily with pictures and texts which we enjoyed.

Hanna took great care of my fur babies. She is patient and so understanding of each of my dogs. She is punctual and consistent on her visits which is important for dogs like mine who are very use to a schedule. I highly recommend Hanna for pet sitting needs and will use her again. Thank you Hanna. :)

Andrea was so great to give me insights on what my pups did while I was away. Andrea stepped in and saved me by being able to check on my pups through the holidays and at the last minute!!! I will absolutely request Andrea again the next time I have to be away!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
