About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — from loyal childhood pets to rescuing animals in need. They’re more than companions to me; they’re family, healers, and honestly, some days I connect with them better than most humans. I understand their need for routine, comfort, patience, and love — the same values I bring from years of childcare experience. As someone who has cared for children professionally, I’m calm under pressure, intuitive to nonverbal cues, and deeply reliable. I know how to create safe, engaging environments, and that carries over naturally to how I care for pets. Whether it’s an energetic pup, an anxious rescue, or a senior dog who just needs a gentle walk and some TLC, I meet them where they’re at. Hi! I’m a college student currently doing my internship at Novi High School, working toward a career in school counseling. I’m also a stay-at-home dad, and in between my family life and my internship, I’m looking to care for pets this summer to fill my cup and earn some extra income doing something I truly love. Animals have always been a part of my life — I’ve had pets since I was a kid, including rescues — and they’ve been a constant source of comfort and joy. Caring for them is second nature to me, and I believe animals deserve the same kind of patience, consistency, and love that I bring to both parenting and working with students. If you’re looking for someone who’s responsible, grounded, and will treat your pet like family, I’d be honored to help. I provide attentive, personalized care that meets each pet’s unique needs. For dogs, that means regular walks, playtime, and positive interaction to keep them happy and active — all while ensuring they’re safely leashed, hydrated, and secure in their environment. For cats, I focus on a calm, clean, and enriched space with fresh food and water, clean litter, and gentle affection on their terms. Whether it’s managing energy levels or giving space when needed, I always prioritize comfort, safety, and trust in every moment of care.

I hope you consider me to care for your sweet fur babies, they’ll be in great hands and I’ll treat them as my own! Unemployed so I have plenty of time. Makenna has answered the many questions that i have had and I am worry free with him in her care. He loves playing with her fur babies too.”

About: I’ve always had a pet as a part of the family since I was a kid (cats and dogs) and have loved pet-sitting for friends and relatives over the years. I work part-time nights 10pm-6am, but my husband is home and we always work as a team. Between the two of us, someone is always home. I still have lots of free time to love on pets, go on walkies throughout the day and car-rides/park adventures. I have a very friendly dog in the home who loves to play and cuddle. She is crate trained, if your pet needs some extra space in the house. We go for multiple walks a day, as I have an unfenced yard. I live in a quiet neighborhood with walking trails and a dog park nearby. I have a spare bedroom which can be used for crating space if needed.

“I booked my first Rover day care with Valentina and Ammad (and their dog Mishka). I was looking for a home day care with a resident dog (medium/large) that liked to play as my dog is very dog-friendly and plays enthusiasticly. Fortunately, this worked out well. Both Bria and Mishka were exhausted after a 6-hour stay. I will be booking with Valentina and Ammad in the future.”

About: I have dog and kitty sat all through college and beyond, even cleaning homes. My kids are old enough now that we can jump start this fun again! We love to walk, play, and give overloads of attention to pets! My kids are 16, 13, and 10 and are eager to serve your family. The best part is that we homeschool, so pets are not left alone for long periods of time. We also live in a dynamic subdivision that is very pet-friendy. We school from home, so there's many opportunities for walking and playing throughout the whole day. There's lots of energy for pet attention in our home. Whether it's walking or boarding, we are delighted to host your pet! We have a fenced in yard with lots of space to run and play. We are a smoke-free home and have a lot of love for animals. We also love animals, especially because God made them and he cares for them and cares about how we treat them.

“She was a great sitter. She took my dog at the last minute and I was running behind, and she was still able to take such good care of them and I am very glad that she was his babysitter. He seem like she had a lot of fun and she sent me a lot of photos while I was gone. I definitely recommend her.”

Dena E.
“It is my pleasure to recommend Dena as a reliable and loving pet caregiver. Dena stayed with our two Labs and Siamese Cat for several years (8+) when we were on vacations. She was always willing to take the dogs for daily walks and when we returned it was like we never left. The house and yard were always in great shape and our very spoiled "kids" hardly noticed we were gone. Dena is a very kindhearted and loving person and her love of our pets was evident in every interaction with them. I only wish we still lived close enough to use Dena as a petsitter still, we have never found anyone as perfect! Gina & Jim Barnett March 2024”
