About: I have been an animal sitter since I was a teen! Throughout these 8 years of my life I have looked after different animals like my sister’s dogs, cousin’s bird, and even a snake for a friend! I have a lot of experience looking after dogs, as I’ve helped my sister raise her two dogs, Love & Bug, ever since she adopted them. I’ve learned about reactive behavioral training to nutritional food education, all that has allowed me to hone in my animal knowledge. In regards to cat experience, I have also raised my own, Sabertooth, who I rescued off the Brooklyn streets when I found him as a kitten! Who’ve I’ve not only taught to be harness/leash trained but has accompanied me on many journeys Upstate & out on Montauk! Needless to say I will look after your pet as if it was my own! I will diligently approach this duty of care and supervision with seriousness and empathy! I’m currently working part-time on the weekends at MoMA PS1, so during the week I am super accommodating and flexible. I’m still able to provide my services on the weekend depending on your situation and needs for your pet! I live in an area, where there is a lot of nearby dog parks to take your dog or great spaces to walk your dog in ( Or if you walk your cat!). I will treat your dog/cat like family in my home, and will adequately meet your specific request for your pet. I will also treat your home and spaces in the most respectful manner.

“Leila was great! She took care of my dog as if she was her own and made sure she got lots of love and attention. She also left my apartment tidy too. I will absolutely book her again!”

About: I grew up with labs my whole life and have always loved animals of all kinds. I used to dog and cat sit all the time when I still lived at my parents house. All my neighbors found me to be trustworthy so word used to spread pretty quickly that I was a great option for pet sitting! I used to volunteer at my local animal shelter and absolutely loved the experience. I became very intuitive about animal behavior and when to approach / leave them be. I lost my family dog of 13 years about a month ago and I have been yearning for any kind of puppy love I can get! I miss having a furry friend. I’m currently in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I work from home the rest of the week and am available most weekends so I can be flexible with my schedule. As mentioned above, I have been pet sitting for about 12 years now so understand each family creates a different environment for their pets. I have petsat for many neighbors tens of times due to how respectful of rules and trusting they have found me to be.

About: Hey! I’m Ruth :) I’ve had a furry friend by my side for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had a variety of dogs (mostly bully breeds) and as a teen, I volunteered as a dog walker at my neighborhood shelter. That experience led to caring for neighbors’ pets and eventually working for a dog-walking company. From tiny lap dogs to big goofballs, I’ve truly seen (and loved) it all. After moving to Lower Manhattan, I found myself pet sitting even more, sometimes in my own home, sometimes in a cozy Brooklyn home with a dog or cat by my side. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years now, and it’s still one of my favorite things to do. I work from home, so I can easily meet your pet’s needs throughout the day. I do step out a few times a week, but I’ll always communicate clearly about my schedule to make sure things align. Meet the Fluffy Hosts 🐾 Sophia – Silly, sweet, and always eager to please! She’s a high-energy girl who thrives with regular training and long walks. She’s great with all types of dogs, but does best with those who can respect her boundaries when she needs downtime. Oh, and she LOVES cats. I’m convinced she was one in a past life. Sesame – Like her sister, she’s sweet and playful but a bit more independent. She enjoys pets on her terms and will politely let you know when she’s had enough. She’s incredibly smart and knows some commands (will do just about anything for food!) and confident with dogs, likely from meeting so many over the years and trusting that I keep her safe. Home Rules • Have fun & be silly • Lounging on the couch is encouraged • Barks are welcome • Sass is accepted • No destructive behavior • No bullying the Fluffy Hosts Before Your Pet’s Stay, Please Let Me Know: • Any resource guarding (food, toys, bed) • Destructive habits • Walk triggers • Separation anxiety • Medication needs (experience: oral only) What to Bring: • Poop bags • Enough food for the stay • Toys (especially if your pup is a chewer) • Pee pads (if needed) • Crate (if needed) • Treats • Bed If you made it this far, Thank You! Sophia, Sesame and I hope to meet you soon 🐩🐈⬛🤍 I work from home most of the time, so your pet will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. The only times I step out are for martial arts classes and occasional errands, so I’m able to maintain a consistent routine for walks, playtime, and care. I treat every animal with compassion and patience, making sure they feel safe and understood. If unwanted behavior pops up, I address it calmly but firmly, using positive reinforcement (and treats!) to guide them toward better habits. My goal is to keep pets happy while also encouraging good manners.

Little Italy pet parents share their Rover experiences
I had an amazing experience with Hannah who took care of my 10-mo old puppy while I was away. She was responsive, reliable, and truly cared for Macaroni. I received regular updates and came home to a happy dog and a spotless apartment (she even threw the sheets and towels she used in the wash so they were clean when I returned home). Highly recommend Hannah for anyone in need of a fantastic dog sitter!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Ace! This was her first time watching Rylee, and I was so anxious about leaving her—but Ace completely put my mind at ease. She took such amazing care of my baby, sending daily photos, videos, and updates that made all the difference. Thanks to her, I was actually able to relax and enjoy my trip without constantly worrying. We’ll definitely be asking Ace to watch Rylee again in the future!

Abigail did a fantastic job watching over my cat with both drop-ins and a one week housesit! Came home to a very happy and healthy cat and she left my apartment in excellent condition. I fully recommend booking Abigail, and definitely plan to hire her again in the future!

Alexandra was so attentive to both of our dogs and did a great job of tending to their specific needs while we were away on a week long vacation. She took them out for long walks and even brought a blanket to sit with them at a nearby park! We are so grateful to have someone we can trust to take care of them.

Andrea took AMAZING care of our dog. My husband and I are very anxious dog parents, and we were hesitant to try Rover. But from the moment we met Andrea we were at ease - she had a calming presence and asked all the right questions pertaining to our dog’s care. While we were away Andrea sent us the perfect amount of “pupdates” and took incredible care of our apartment. So happy we found her and can’t wait to book her again in the future!

Alex was fantastic house sitting for Oscar! He was responsive and proactive in his communication, left our house better than he found it, and most importantly took great care of Oscar. He has a reassuring and calming presence which was wonderful as we moved to a new city and Oscar gets acquainted with a new space. Highly recommend!

I always feel like the luckiest girl in the world when Kristina is free to stay with my five kitties! She’s so incredibly knowledgeable and experienced so I feel like I don’t have to be glued to my phone in case an issue arises with one of my dingbats. Her communication is stellar, my apartment is always spotless when I return, and the most important part: my cats ADORE her. There are certain cuddles my cats only do with me and no one else, even if a person visits regularly. Well, Kristina is the exception! They are doing the “mama only” cuddles on Kristina within a day!

Dinasty stayed at our apt for 5 nights and took care of our two cats. Our original flight was canceled because of weather and we came home a day after originally planned but Dinasty stayed and took care of our cats. This was really a big deal for us. Great with updates and any other directions. Very happy with our experience. Thank you!
