About: I've been volunteering at various cat rescue organizations for several years. I donI currently have 3 cats and have had cats for the past 15 years. I'm retired. I volunteer at different pet rescues and I want to stay busy by being a rover. And I want a the flexibility of being a ROVER. I have dealt with dogs and cats at different animal rescues organization. Feeding and preparing food for them. I also have personal experience in dealing with ill cats. I had a cat that suffered asthma so I'm comfortable using an inhaler; a cat with diabetes and give injections; and also using a glucose monitor and pricking my cat to test his blood sugar.

About: I've owned dogs since I was 8, including a Chow Chow, Sheepdog, and Rottweiler when I was younger. More recently, I cared for my sister's senior Chihuahua and German Shepherd, and I currently own a Norfolk Terrier. I'm a former work-from-home Project Manager in tech currently between roles, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I'm happy to take the dogs to the park for a longer walk if the surrounding area is not well-suited e.g. due to traffic. “Hollyanne and Donovan have been our pet sitters for the last year, watching my 14 y/o beagle Charlie at least 5 times, for multiple days at a time. I could fully relax and trust that Charlie was being closely supervised and cared for in a relaxing and temp controlled environment. At Charlie’s old age, he isn’t as mobile as he used to be. I did not have to worry about Charlie getting pushed around by their other dogs, who are very calm and read his body language extremely well! Hollyanne and Donovan are also able to separate the pups if needed! I also had a homemade diet for Charlie, that needed to be frozen, then heated and mixed, along with additional supplements added to his food. Charlie never missed a meal with them! Hollyanne and Donovan even created an extra step for Charlie to get up onto their couch easier, and had dog beds throughout their home for the pups. She takes amazing care of her own two cats, one of which was feral when first rescued, and the other that needs periodic injections for arthritis. Azlynn is always coming up with new enrichment activities for them too. She’s also amazing with my pets: I have a 70-lbs Shepherd mix that is suspicious of people and dog-aggressive, but Azlynn spent the time to let him get used to her, and now she’s one of his favorite people- he even sleeps with her, which I love and also makes me jealous because he is not a cuddler (every so often he cuddles my daughter, but that’s it)! Owen took such good care of our two fur-babies I can’t recommend him enough. Pulls of the hat trick of being incredibly efficient yet relaxed at the same time. His calm demeanor not only helped to relax our spoiled chihuahua and Pomeranian, but also their high strung parents- who were nervous about trusting someone they’d just met with their pups. First time using Rover and Owen made us very happy we did.
