“Tess is the absolute best! She has been helping me out with my pup for weeks. She is very reliable, great with communication and my dog loves her. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Alison has been very reliable and responsive. She’s been walking our new puppy for the last couple weeks to help us get her out of the crate during our work day so she isn’t in there more than 4hrs. Puppy dealing with some pretty bad stomach issues and Alison very helpful with this as far as checking in with worried pup mom and offering more water/different options when pup not up for a walk. She’s been wonderful and we’re very grateful. Will continue to use her services as long as we can and are in a situation where work schedule forces pup into crate for too many hours.”

“Bethany is an amazing person for your dog! When it comes to walking, she took her time with my dog and gave her so much love. My dog is usually anxious around new people, but immediately took to Beth! I would 100% recommend her for dog walks, house stays, and more.”

“Megan was great checking in on my cats and walking my dog. She is attentive, quick to respond and flexible. We will definitely be using Megan again for future services.”

“Jared has been a life saver! I have 2 older dogs, one is rescue that had to learn a new name since we don’t know her original name. He really loves them and they are always so happy to see him. Working with him lets me working, uninterrupted, at my job a couple of days a week bringing so much peace of mind!”

“I have three dogs with different needs because of age and temperament. I was most worried about my small, shy dog, but he took a treat from Karen on the first meeting!”

“We’ve been using Jillian regularly for a few weeks now and she has been a great dog walker for our pup. She’s attentive, communicative, reliable, and our dog loves her. Highly recommend!”

“Megan has been awesome walking with our excitable GSD! She is prompt, communicative, and friendly. I love the detailed updates and photos she shares on her walks and trust her to handle our big pup.”

“Alexandru was phenomenal!! I scheduled him day of and then repeated for a week out. He was able to walk my pup with no issues (he’s a big 80lb dog with some reactivity). Will definitely be back to use him again!!”

About: Hi! My name is Claire, and I’m someone who has always had dogs growing up — they’ve been a huge part of my life. Now that I’m in school, I really miss having a dog of my own, but I know I don’t currently have the time to fully raise one. That’s actually what drew me to Rover: I get to spend time caring for and loving dogs while also helping owners in my community feel confident their pets are in good hands. I genuinely love dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I take caring for them seriously. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just giving them attention and comfort, I treat every dog like they’re my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and always focused on making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Being in school has taught me how to manage my time responsibly, and pet care is something I truly enjoy rather than see as a chore. I would love the opportunity to help care for your dog (or cat!) and give them the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my routine because I’m currently in school and have a flexible schedule. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting during weekdays and weekends, and I make sure pets receive consistent attention, playtime, and care throughout the day! I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. I carefully follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions, keep environments clean and secure, and make sure each pet feels calm, loved, and well cared for.
About: I've pet sit for my neighbors when they go out of town. I treat their pets as if there my own. I ask numerous questions about the pet in question in order to properly care for the pet. I'm also very observant and cautious when it comes to a pets safety I'm currently unemployed trying to start a etsy and ebay store as well as a youtube channel. I'm also helping take care of my 97 year old aunt. my schedule is quite open. I love animals and they bring me great joy. hoping to make a little money and some new friends whether they are human or four legged. my parents never allowed me to have a pet so when our neighbors went out of time I jumped at the chance of watching their pets, I treated them with love and care as if they were my own.
About: Although I currently have two pets of my own, I can’t get enough of animals. Therefore, spending time with other pets warms my heart endlessly. I have two cats that require lots of attention and love. They have separate feeding times and amounts, have multiple litter boxes, and need frequent brushings. One cat has urinary tract issues and sometimes has accidents that have to be cleaned up multiple times a day. They also enjoy being chased as a form of exercise, as well as “hunting” for their toys. My one cat is allowed outside only if he is being held or is in his harness. The other cat does not go outside. I live very close to a road so I do not like the idea of letting my cats out on their own.
About: I regularly pet sit for friends and family. 1-3 weeks mostly; but can do just a few days as well. Private home with a fenced yard. Dog lead in yard is available. I love to walk! Short or long walks are all fine with me. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I’ve owned 3 in my adult life. I even fostered a dog for 9 months! It was hard to give her up; but she went to a loving home. I’m honest and trustworthy and dogs just make every day better! I work a pretty flexible schedule. I’m retired so I have lots of time. If your dog likes car rides and public parks…awesome! There’s also 2-3 dog parks not far from my house I have a big yard that's about 70 yards deep and I have a secured lead in both front and back yards. For added safety, I attach an air tag to your pets collar. There are sidewalks all around my neighborhood for safe walks on a leash. I'm not a fan of dog parks. I prefer to select my walking path to ensure your pets safety. I live alone.

About: I have had three dogs of my own - Bear, Snickers, and Annie! I loved each one of them so much and gave them the world. Now, let me give the world to yours when we get to have adventures together on walks, at parks, and at home with lots of pet cuddle time! I am a graduate student but make plenty of time to hang out with your pets during the day and in the evenings! I give daily walks and lots of play time and cuddle time each day we spend together! I normally dog sit at the persons home while I am caring for their pets. I find that this allows the pets to feel most comfortable and have the best experience while their families are away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Latonia
Tess was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time booking with her, and she made the entire experience so easy and reassuring. She arranged a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure Lola was comfortable with her and to go over her specific care instructions. It was clear from the start that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. She was great with Lola and also a pleasure to communicate and work with. I would definitely book with Tess again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable sitter!

Jared has been absolutely fantastic with our dogs! From day one, he's been incredibly communicative, reliable, and prompt, which gives us complete peace of mind. Our dogs absolutely adore him and are always excited for their walks and adventures together. It's clear that he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and knows how to keep them happy, safe, and well cared for. We trust him completely and feel so lucky to have found him. If you're looking for someone dependable, trustworthy, and great with dogs, we highly recommend Jared! 🐾

Kerry is so great with my dogs! I can always tell they've had a good time while I was gone even if they missed me. She's very attentive to details with my older guy and always tries to give them a great walk even when the weather isn't very nice out. Love knowing I can trust her with their care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
