“Ben was fantastic with Henry and Homer. I appreciated all the extra care and love Ben gave my guys when I was away. They were very well taken care of and Ben went above and beyond all expectations.”
“Alexis was great! The cats were comfortable with her and she was very communicative. There was a plumbing disaster that came up unexpectedly and she notified me immediately + waited around to let maintenance in.”
“Christina was the best! she took excellent care of our kiddos and even got our most sensitive cat to eat his meals (and take his meds!) without any issue! she sent us tons of photos, was super communicative, and super flexible. 10/10 recommend her for all your pet needs!!”
“Thanks, Alex!! He did awesome checking on my baby boy while I was out of town with my other cat. Made sure to keep him company, happy, and fed. Couldn’t recommend Alex more!”
About: Growing up with Steve Irwin as my role model, I have personal experience with pets of many varieties, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, crabs, etc. I have professionally worked as a cat sitter for 2 years, as well as experience working in a vet clinic as a receptionist and assistant. I have experience with befriending the most timid pets, playing with the best of ‘em, and providing oral and topical medications. I am the full time pet parent to my two cats, Mabel and Luna! I am a mental health therapist by day and an animal lover all the time! I can be available for overnight stays on the weekends and for drop in visits/walks in the morning before 9am or after 4pm. I maintain a calm, loving demeanor with every pet I care for. Much like humans in therapy, I meet the pet where they are and encourage them by building a strong rapport. In your home, I will be respectful of the space by keeping it clean, as well as towards your pet!
About: I have helped and cared for many different types of animals such as cats, dogs, fish, reptiles and more! I love giving animals that extra time and attention they need and have cared for many owners in the past. I have a fairly busy schedule with college and athletics but I am available throughout the day especially during the morning and evening. I am able to work with clients and provide the appropriate care needed for their pets:) Depending on the home, I am able to do whatever is needed to make my clients feel comfortable! I love keeping my own areas tidy and would love to do the same while caring for animals. Cleaning and making sure the animals things stay kept is a must for me and I appreciate being told if something specific needs done. No job is too much for me:)
“This was the most relaxing trip I have had in a long time. I felt at ease, and if I ever wanted an update or more photos I was quickly accommodated. One of the most professional, reliable, and honorable pet sitting experiences I have had in a long time. 10/10 would book again.”
About: I have experience pet sitting for friends and neighbors since high school and would love caring for your pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I currently have a job but my time is very flexible due to me being an on demand worker! I am able to stay for as long as you need and do many walks I am good with following whatever routine your dog might have including feeding, walking, playing, fresh water ect. As for my pets I have 3 sweet cats and 1 dog who I love spending time with. They are very happy and loved.
About: I am a lifelong animal lover and have had multiple dogs, two cats, and a ball python for over 13 years! In addition to my experience as a pet owner, I have also volunteered at the Cincinnati Zoo in various capacities for 3 years now, where I have learned techniques in animal care relating to a variety of species from mammals to reptiles to birds. I am currently pursuing a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with the hope to some day work with animals professionally. I was a member of my high schools zoology and marine biology clubs for all 4 years and also founded a beekeeping club. I am currently a college student looking to pet sit during school breaks. I will be in town and available December 13-31 of this year. I offer free meet and greets and I will not have another job at this time and so can be quite flexible to you/your pets needs. I can come over at regular time frames to walk, provide food and water, play, and spend time with your pet. I also offer overnight stays and can accommodate irregular schedules.
“Lauren is a top notch pet sitter. We used her again while on a trip to Jamaica. She always post an update and sends pictures of our kitties. Feel very fortunate to have such wonderful sitter for our two kitties. We never worry knowing they are under great care. Linda O.”
About: I have handled dogs for the entirety of my life, all sizes from small to large, and with a fenced yard, they will have space!! I will be at home all the time, and will be able to give 100% attention to your animal while they are in my care. I have a fenced yard and two fur babies to keep your dog company. I can crate your animal if needed, but have space for your animal to explore
“Alex went above and beyond taking care of my kitties (and even my plants too!!). Would definitely trust them to come back again. They are so thorough, kind, and awesome! THANK YOU, ALEX!!!!!”
“Lux got along great with my cats and provided great updates that put me to ease when away. I would highly recommend his services, very professional and friendly!”
About: Pets have been in my life since I was a little kid. My family has always had a dog and I have a cat that I take care of like she’s my baby! I’ve always loved animals and being around fur babies. To me pets aren’t just animals you have they are an extension of your family! I work a part time job at the kenwood mall during the summer/seasonally and am a student at UC studying education in hopes of becoming a teacher! My availability is pretty flexible during the week Monday, Wednesday, Friday I only have one class from 11-12:10 so I will be readily available for virtually the entire day. Availability for Tuesday/ Thursday varies because my classes range from 11-2 which isn’t ideal for potty breaks or feedings but am able to negotiate if you have a specific situation that would fit my schedule on those two day. During the weekend im free whenever and can do mornings, overnight care, potty breaks, special feeding care, etc. While at home I let our dog out, give treats, feed, and clean the cat's littler box, feed the cat, replenish the water supply in their fountain, etc. I have a senior dog so playing isn’t in her cards anymore but I’m happy to sit with senior dogs and play with younger dogs. I also love walks and will take your pups for as long of a walk as you’d like. I even walk my cat in a pet stroller when the weather is nice!
The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Latonia is $20
Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Latonia
Mattie is wonderful!! This is the 3rd time she’s watched my senior cat and I couldn’t be more pleased. She always keeps me informed, is quick to respond whenever I text her, and sends multiple photos so I know my furry one is well taken care of. I no longer stress while I’m away with Mattie on the job!
Ben earns his numerous 5-star ratings because pets respond to him like he's part of the pack and his communication and accommodation are incredible – I'm very glad to have Ben look after my two fur kids instead of taking them to a resort. They're happier and I'm more at ease getting text and picture updates
AmariYah made this such a great experience, as this was our first time using Rover! She gave us plenty of updates and pictures, and it looks like our pets absolutely loved the experience too! She was very thoughtful and generous with her time, and her care of our little fur babies!
Tori is the best Rover I've used (and I've used many good ones). She took care of my cats as if they were her own, and left my place in better condition than it was when she arrived. I would definitely book Tori in the future. I'd also recommend her to my family and friends with zero hesitation.
