About: Hello, I am an active individual who likes being out in nature and exploring the local outdoor areas. I would enjoy the opportunity to help care for your pet and would enjoy the company as well. I am employed full time as a PhD student at Cornell and am seeking a side job that I could enjoy as much as my current job. I live by myself in a quiet, smoke-free home with no other animals or children. I am in a pedestrian-friendly area with excellent scenery for walking. Because much of my work schedule is flexible, I will have time throughout the day to take care and spend time with your pet. I also have more availability on weekends. As an animal lover, I like to interact with dogs through play (tossing a ball, playing tug-of-war with a toy, running around outside) and relaxing with them and giving them pets.
About: I have always lived with pets! :) I grew up with dogs Ella and Koikkie when I was little, and loved walking and playing with them. In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. I also frequently cat sit for my friends who have a mix of young and old cats. I'm currently working part-time 5 days a week. I am available for weekend pet-sitting and short visits during the week. I work until 3pm on weekdays, and am available at most times on the weekend. I am more than happy to stay in your home with your pet, and would love to give them treats and attention. Riya did an excellent job caring for our 2 year old toy poodle while we are out on vacation as a house sitter. She fed him, walked him and made sure to send us a daily update with pictures on his activities - giving us the peace of mind he was safe and cared for while we were away from our little boy. Claudia was a wonderful pet sitter! From the moment we met her, it was clear she was a lover of animals and she would take wonderful care of our dog Pepper while we were out. She’s a great house sitter too and we really appreciated her putting up with and letting us know about some house issues that arose while we were away.
