“This was our first boarding experience with Hiedi, and it could not have gone better. I was concerned my dog might be anxious being left overnight, but much the opposite. He was over the top excited to play with the other boarder and day care dogs. Hiedi keeps her experienced professional eyes on them, so you never need to worry one bit. He came home wonderfully tired out, but more importantly happy. He ate well, slept well, and was clearly very comfortable there. He wants to know when we are going back!! I will be using Hiedi again. My family has 6 dogs total, from a Chihuahua to Pit Bulls, so I’m quite familiar with taking care of different sizes, ages, and breeds. About: For any and all services I provide I will be seeking guidance from the pet owner for preferred handling as people treat their pets differently (allowed on furniture, leash vs off leash, feeding times, etc.) Most of my pet sitting experience has been at their home and i have cared for up to four dogs and two cats (plus chickens and fish). I have also babysat for a cat and a few different dogs at my place. I enjoy an active lifestyle and live near state lands so lots of hiking is usually on the agenda (for dogs anyway). I recently put down my aging cat and have found life is lonely without him, but I am not ready to replace him just yet. Rover seems like a great way to get my fix and earn some extra money along the way. I work full time Monday through Friday and have hour long lunch breaks if midday breaks are needed for your pets. Weekends are for serious play! I live on a low traffic road near a state forest. Access to trails from my back door and a large (unfenced) yard to roam. When staying in someone’s home I treat it like my own with care.

Since she was going to be taking care of another dog on the same day that I booked Sandy's stay, Claudia suggested that we meet both her and Bella (cutest pug ever!) ahead of time to see how the two dogs would get along. It was so nice to be able to do that so that it was easy for me to just drop Sandy off on her booked day without a worry. About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.
About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 9 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats all my life. In the past 8 years I have lived in CO during that time, I have been through pain and loss. Shortly after moving our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer and then our cat with Heart/Kidney disease. About: My whole life I have been into only 1 thing! And that is animals. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at a local horse rescue everyday after school and by the age of 18 I was volunteering at my local SPCA feeding and walking dogs. I went to college at SUNY Cobleskill for 4yrs and graduated with honors and received my bachelors degree in Animal Science. I studied many different training techniques with both horses and small animals, I even learned how to clicker train a chicken! ;) I’ve taken classes in care, management, training, behavior issues and many more. After graduation I became a riding instructor and horse trainer at a near by stable. I now run my own business as an equine dentist which leaves me with tons of extra time as I usually only schedule trips 1-2x a week! I currently have 4 horses, 2 cats, 1 really friendly German Shepherds, small Maltese, a ball python, and a Quaker Parrot named Echo. I have my own business! As an equine dentist I normally can only visit farms when owners are home so that means most weekend days are spent doing that while during the weekdays I’m totally free! Yard behind the house for the dogs, it is fenced off. We own a 3 bedroom so plenty of room for more animals! I am right in town so I can take dogs for walks or to the park. I share my house with my bf and his 10yr old sister who is my foster daughter. Also a huge animal person!

About: [I am only accepting requests for puppies or young/friendly dogs at the moment] I am very detail oriented and I will follow instructions carefully. I believe that exercising dogs both mentally and physically is very important. Since I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, I take my dog, Bear, outside at least 6-8 times per day, and always take him on a long walk (45 min) in the afternoon or evening. I also do at least one basic obedience / trick training session with him. If you want, I can definitely follow the same pattern with your dog, and work on basic obedience training or even teach your puppy a few tricks during the stay at my home. I use Rover myself when I need to travel, so I know how nerve racking it is to leave your fur baby with someone else. Rest assured I will care for your baby, as I would like someone else to care for mine. I am not accepting older dogs / dominant dogs at the moment because my puppy was attacked recently, so to ensure his safety I will only be working with young dogs for the moment. I have a business that I run from home and my schedule is super flexible. I take my dog outside for breaks at least 6-8 times per day, as well as for a long walk (45 minutes) at least once. Since we live close to Buttermilk State Park, we go there often for our walks. I also love to exercise my dog mentally with training sessions. I do them once a day. I would follow this same routine with your puppy if he/she stayed with me. The safety of your puppy is my number one priority. For this reason I require a Meet & Greet for all new clients to ensure my dog and yours will get along. I have a nice sized backyard that is partially fenced. I have a run in place for my dog I often take him there on a leash as well. Your dog will have access to the whole house. I will be supervising your puppy all day, the same way I do mine. I homeschool my 9 year old daughter, so I have a lot of time to care for your puppy. We usually take our own pup, Bear, on walks during the day. I am very detailed oriented. I will follow all your instructions to endure your pet’s safety. I will give all the cuddles and love also ;)

About: I have always lived with pets! :) I grew up with dogs Ella and Koikkie when I was little, and loved walking and playing with them. In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. I’ve been the sole caretaker of him since he joined our family and I’ve taken him through the process of crate training, basic commands, recall and potty training! About: I have had pets my whole life growing up. I’ve had dogs, cats, fish, and even rabbits! In fact, my mom has 2 dogs (Finley and Millie) that I helped take care of and train for years. Finley is a golden retriever and Millie is a chihuahua so my experience with different dog breeds is very diverse! I love walking dogs and getting to know each of their individual personalities. I'm currently on summer vacation and am only working part-time so all other hours are mostly filled with walking and sitting dogs and spending time with my friends around San Francisco. I'm not busy at all at the moment so I'll make sure to be timely and patient with your animals and give our time together the upmost importance. I always listen to the needs and demands of my client's and their animals! I'm detail-orientated and able to follow a strict schedule insuring that your pets get the exact care that they need! :)
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. Since I was young, I’ve had a genuine love for all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to more exotic pets. I truly believe every animal deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, and proper care. I currently have two dogs of my own, one rescue and one I’ve raised since a puppy. They are a huge part of my life, and caring for them has taught me the importance of trust, consistency, and understanding each animal’s unique needs and personality. I currently work nights as a registered nurse, which gives me daytime availability throughout the week to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I am available daily during daytime hours for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with your pets to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Due to my work schedule and commute, I am generally unavailable after 5 PM and overnight, but I work 3 days per week which allows me 4 days to provide care. The days that I work each week do vary, so feel free to contact me for specifics. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and fully present during the time I spend caring for each pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone caring for your pets and being in your home, so I strive to provide dependable, respectful, and attentive care at all times. Because I have a dog at home who is not comfortable around other dogs, I currently focus on dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting in clients’ homes rather than boarding. I believe many pets are most comfortable in their own familiar environment, where they can maintain their normal routine and feel secure while their owners are away. I always take the time to learn each pet’s individual needs, personality, routines, and any safety concerns to ensure they receive personalized care. Whether it’s keeping dogs safely leashed on walks, monitoring behavior and comfort levels, or maintaining a clean and calm environment during visits, I aim to provide loving care and peace of mind for both pets and their owners.
About: Hi! My name is Emily and I am a research scientist at Cornell. I absolutely love working with animals, and have loved and raised dogs my entire life, including family pets and Seeing Eye puppies. I have experience with all sizes and ages, so puppies and 100+ pound dogs are no problem. I have also had cats my whole life. I have experience with pet-sitting dogs and cats in my own home and with coming to others' homes . I also love going on walks and would be able to make sure your dog will get all the exercise they need. I look forward to caring for your pets! My time in the research lab is flexible so I can do afternoon feedings and walks. I am available for house sitting services as well. About: I grew up with with a variety of dogs as a child and even showed my collie puppy as a junior handler. I have cared for cats and dogs, including puppies and cats with medical needs since I was a teenager. I currently have a smart, affectionate, and active golden-doodle. “This was our first boarding experience with Hiedi, and it could not have gone better. I was concerned my dog might be anxious being left overnight, but much the opposite. He was over the top excited to play with the other boarder and day care dogs. Hiedi keeps her experienced professional eyes on them, so you never need to worry one bit. He came home wonderfully tired out, but more importantly happy. He ate well, slept well, and was clearly very comfortable there. He wants to know when we are going back!! I will be using Hiedi again. About: For any and all services I provide I will be seeking guidance from the pet owner for preferred handling as people treat their pets differently (allowed on furniture, leash vs off leash, feeding times, etc.) Most of my pet sitting experience has been at their home and i have cared for up to four dogs and two cats (plus chickens and fish). I have also babysat for a cat and a few different dogs at my place. I enjoy an active lifestyle and live near state lands so lots of hiking is usually on the agenda (for dogs anyway). I recently put down my aging cat and have found life is lonely without him, but I am not ready to replace him just yet. Rover seems like a great way to get my fix and earn some extra money along the way. I work full time Monday through Friday and have hour long lunch breaks if midday breaks are needed for your pets. Weekends are for serious play! I live on a low traffic road near a state forest. Access to trails from my back door and a large (unfenced) yard to roam. When staying in someone’s home I treat it like my own with care.

They also have separate areas for dogs that would prefer not to overly socialize. My dog had a wonderful time playing, swimming and taking walks with Jennifer and crew. Jennifer was great at communicating daily and sent lots of pictures and videos. It was clear that nacho was having the best time. I definitely recommend Jennifer and will absolutely book again.”
