About: Peppy Pet Care was launched at the end of 2018 in Ithaca, NY by myself and my animal-loving, entrepreneurial eleven year old daughter. Together we worked to provide outstanding pet sitting services to Ithaca and Lansing pet owners. Beginning in 2021, I started officially working on my own, as my daughter is busy pursuing other interests and activities. I treat pets in my care as I would my own. “I would highly recommend them for any of the services they offer. Lil bear has “separation anxiety” and traveling on a airplane is too much for him to handle. Aaron and Kaylee really work hard to introduce your animal to theirs, and others they maybe watching. I did a couple daycare weeks there before I had him stay. Lil bear always seemed willing and excited to go there each morning. He made friends with the other day there. He always gets good exercise while there, tired when he comes home. Worth it. And they are very accommodating to any changes or needs you have.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that since I was eight years old I have been taking care of cats, dogs, reptiles, and rodents. I have 25 rescue cats back home in California in which I work with rescues for free vaccines and neutering and spaying. Lots of the cats I take care of have special needs or require administering medication. I also have experience with dogs with special needs such as being spoonfed. I work part-time over the winter and will spend most days indoors studying for LSAT. I go for walks on breaks and usually give attention to my pets and others between breaks or as needed! My house has spare rooms where I can house pets if they are not comfortable with my cats! My cats can remain on third floor if needed with free roam acccess around house for cats and for dogs it varies on a case by case basis.

“Erin did a wonderful job looking after my two kitties while I was away for five days. They are cautious by nature and take refuge under the bed when anything new or sudden happens, but Erin made sure that they were eating, drinking, and using the litter box appropriately and all on schedule the entire time I was gone. From the distribution of toys, it was also clear that they felt great about everything and engaged in their usual romping and playing. About: I have had pets my whole life growing up. I’ve had dogs, cats, fish, and even rabbits! In fact, my mom has 2 dogs (Finley and Millie) that I helped take care of and train for years. Finley is a golden retriever and Millie is a chihuahua so my experience with different dog breeds is very diverse! I love walking dogs and getting to know each of their individual personalities. I’m a very energetic person and I’m so ready to go on long walks and even runs! I'm currently on summer vacation and am only working part-time so all other hours are mostly filled with walking and sitting dogs and spending time with my friends around San Francisco. About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.
“I cannot overstate what a lifesaver Jennifer was on our vacation. We had an air BNB that allowed dogs, but not unattended and were visiting friends with a cat who turned out to be dog phobic. We booked Jennifer the day before we left and she was so welcoming and flexible with pick up and drop off times and with her extensive kennel hours. About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 7 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I'm now a stay at home mom missing my daily dog visits! I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab grey hound mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I'm willing to bathe and groom but it just depends on your dogs hair and size because I do not have a grooming area set up yet in my home, but I'm willing to talk about it! I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

Shortly after moving our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer and then our cat with Heart/Kidney disease. I I usually wake up early, so I don't mind an early walk or feeding schedule. I typically go to bed around 11pm-midnight, but I am happy to work around a pet's schedule, especially to accommodate any medications or weather. I was raised to leave things better than I found them, so I always do a thorough clean before I leave a petsitting gig (including washing sheets, so you can go straight to bed!) About: I have always lived with pets! :) I grew up with dogs Ella and Koikkie when I was little, and loved walking and playing with them. In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. I also frequently cat sit for my friends who have a mix of young and old cats. I'm currently working part-time 5 days a week. I am available for weekend pet-sitting and short visits during the week. I work until 3pm on weekdays, and am available at most times on the weekend. I am more than happy to stay in your home with your pet, and would love to give them treats and attention. About: I grew up with with a variety of dogs as a child and even showed my collie puppy as a junior handler. I have cared for cats and dogs, including puppies and cats with medical needs since I was a teenager. I currently have a smart, affectionate, and active golden-doodle. About: I have cat/dog-sitted for a couple of friends on multiple occasions. They were extremely satisfied with my service. Additionally, I have four cats at home! So, I am familiar with taking care of cats. I am a veterinary student at Cornell University. As of currently, I am available all days of the week in the morning as well as the evening. I always make sure the fur baby has fresh water and food. Additionally, I keep the space clean and tidy if the pet made a mess (e.g. near the litter box or water bowls). Lastly, I give new pets time and space to get used to me. I don't invade their personal space and wait for them to make the initiative.
About: [I am only accepting requests for puppies or young/friendly dogs at the moment] I am very detail oriented and I will follow instructions carefully. I believe that exercising dogs both mentally and physically is very important. Since I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, I take my dog, Bear, outside at least 6-8 times per day, and always take him on a long walk (45 min) in the afternoon or evening. I also do at least one basic obedience / trick training session with him. If you want, I can definitely follow the same pattern with your dog, and work on basic obedience training or even teach your puppy a few tricks during the stay at my home. I use Rover myself when I need to travel, so I know how nerve racking it is to leave your fur baby with someone else. Rest assured I will care for your baby, as I would like someone else to care for mine. I am not accepting older dogs / dominant dogs at the moment because my puppy was attacked recently, so to ensure his safety I will only be working with young dogs for the moment. I have a business that I run from home and my schedule is super flexible. I take my dog outside for breaks at least 6-8 times per day, as well as for a long walk (45 minutes) at least once. Since we live close to Buttermilk State Park, we go there often for our walks. I also love to exercise my dog mentally with training sessions. I do them once a day. I would follow this same routine with your puppy if he/she stayed with me. The safety of your puppy is my number one priority. For this reason I require a Meet & Greet for all new clients to ensure my dog and yours will get along. I have a nice sized backyard that is partially fenced. I have a run in place for my dog I often take him there on a leash as well. Your dog will have access to the whole house. I will be supervising your puppy all day, the same way I do mine. I homeschool my 9 year old daughter, so I have a lot of time to care for your puppy. We usually take our own pup, Bear, on walks during the day. I am very detailed oriented. I will follow all your instructions to endure your pet’s safety. I will give all the cuddles and love also ;)

Currently working at a grocery store so my hours are always different. When I finish working though I head straight over to where I need to go. Sometimes I head over before I have to work too. I take the animals outside when they need to go to the bathroom. While I’m out there I watch carefully over them. I comfort and pay attention to them. I talk to them like they are humans.

Mornings, afternoons, evenings, as well as late night. I am typically in town during holidays and update my online calendar frequently. I provide care in client homes only at this time. I'm always vigilant when entering and exiting client homes, so as not to allow pets to slip out.

“Jessica and Eric are wonderful hosts for our dogs. We have been lucky enough to have used their hospitality twice now and our dogs love being with them. They get plenty of exercise, attention and love from their family. Our oldest dog doesn’t come home with the anxiety she gets while being at a dog kennel which is great. We will continue to use Jessica for our dog boarding needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving home for their pets.”

“We are so lucky to have found Ashley C. on Rover. Com. Ashley and her husband Brian boarded our 5 month old German Shepherd (Isa) from 7/24/23-7/29/23 at their home. Each morning Ashley sent me an update on Isa’s day without fail. She also included numerous pictures of Isa engaging in play with her own personal dogs. Although, prior to obtaining Isa, one of are greatest worries was that having another dog would tie us down and limit our vacations we enjoy taking. We knew having a German shepherd would be a bit hard to travel with for the most part. I did look at other boarding options but I found them to be lacking and caused me a few sleepless nights on where or who to leave Isa with. Ashley arranged a meet and greet and I knew in the 1st three minutes that Isa would be fine in Ashley’s home. Isa did wonderful and I did not have a single worry regarding Isa. Each picture showed me that she was thoroughly playing hard, engaged and loved all the romping around with Ashley’s dogs. They have a great yard and are certainly experienced in boarding dogs. They were very good at keeping her at home routine so she was comfortable. I couldn’t thank Ashley and Brian enough for the care they provided for Isa.”
