About: We are a family full of love for pets! My Husband has volunteered at Sammies Friends walking dogs, and at home we have three indoor-outdoor cats, and a Chihuahua named Bella who’s 10 (my Daughter’s). We had to put down our 14-year-old chocolate lab named Yotis a few years ago, and was my Husband’s best friend! My Son’s 12 year old German Shepard Zani passed a couple years ago as well, and she was the best dog addition to this family. We have always had dogs and cats in the home, and all are friends with each other and they each have unique personalities! We have a dog park nearby as well! The oldest cat I have had was a tabby named Chica, and got her at 8 weeks old when I was 16, and she was 15 when she passed!!! Our pets are our fur family and we love them all!!! Kids are all grown up now, and my Husband is gone a lot as a Fire Captain, so I am more than willing and available to housesit dogs and/or cats in your home. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and pets. My Husband works 3 days on, 4 days off and likes to help with your pets as well. He is a Dog Whisperer, and I am the Cat Lady! We love taking nature walks, and have both been on Rover since before COVID in 2019. I am available at any time due to my kids being older now, amd we don’t currently have a dog of our own. I love getting out of the house and exploring new neighborhoods and areas especially during Spring and summer. We have resided in Nevada County for decades! We don’t dog board due to having too many household members and pets already, but in your home they are taken care of exactly how they should be. With compassion and love.

About: I specialize in providing quality care for cats, dogs, rodents, and reptiles/amphibians. I have extensive experience caring for animals from all walks of life (pun intended), from senior pets who require some extra special attention to the many creatures that typically go unappreciated (especially those of the scaly or slimy variety). I'm not afraid to get down and dirty with pets and have endless patience and understanding when it comes to accidents, behavioral issues, or any of the other less glamorous aspects of pet ownership. I have over a decade of experience with dog, cat, and reptile caretaking, some experience with rodent and bird caretaking, and I am always willing to learn more so I may satisfy your pet needs to a T. I think of and treat pets like the family they are and am dedicated to ensuring and promoting their wellbeing; night or day, rain or shine, I will be there for you and your pets. My availability for daycare drop-offs/pick-ups is 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Drop-ins and all-day sitting (non-overnight) is 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. For overnight services (currently unavailable) any start or end time is acceptable. Same-day booking is available and I’m typically available during holidays except Christmas. Currently I cannot stay overnight but can sit all day at your home multiple days in a row (I just need to go home to sleep). I provide undivided attention to pets and specialized care according to your instructions. My own dog is small, calm, and well-behaved so he is not to worry about when interacting with your pet in my home during doggy daycare. The other dog I live with barks upon first meeting but otherwise does not act out. For day care: The house is large as is the backyard with plenty of room to run around. There is no fence but neither backyards flanking ours have dogs, if that is a concern. My family has no qualms about dogs on furniture so if your baby is a couch potato he/she is more than welcome. I do ask you bring your own leashes, food bowls, and food for your dog for day care. For sitting you can trust me to be prudent, responsible, caring, and dedicated to your pet's wellbeing, as well as respectful of your home's interior and exterior. I can bathe short-hair and medium-hair dogs up to 30 lbs as long as you have a detachable shower wand and your dog is not allergic to the chemicals in dog shampoo. Pricing depends on the size of your dog and extent of services requested. ≤10lbs = $10; >10lbs = $1 per pound (15lbs = $15 and so on).

About: I grew up in Hawai'i with 3 sweet, older pits, pretending to eat grass as one of the pack. Always looked forward to playing with friends dogs after school and taking them to the beach with us. My first job at 12 years old was puppy sitting my neighbors golden retriever, I was hooked! I've walked and watched friends dogs throughout and after college, worked at 2 daycare & boarding facilities. Fell in love with every dog big or small, young and old! We cared for all ages and accommodated strict diets, oral meds and ear drops etc. I'd love to meet and care for the pets in my community on my free time. *Recently adopted 2 yr old Corso requiring slow socialization, will hopefully be able to accept daycare and boarding again soon. Thanks for understanding :) I love pets, plants and art. While I freelance from home and maintain several clients gardens, my schedule is flexible enough to check on your pup, go for walks and get them tired and tended to so they are happy to relax! I will adhere to your house rules and boundaries during drop ins or walks. Happy to drive to a nearby park if within reasonable distance. Your dog will likely show me their route around the neighborhood :)

About: I started taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs after retiring in 2024. My lifelong love for cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes is now my daily passion! As an active retiree, I don't have any pets currently, and the house is empty and waiting for my next furry friend! I've cared for everything from dachshunds to a Bernese Mountain Dog. I love cats, but I want to watch them in your home, not mine. Happy to house-sit, work overnight shifts, and care for senior dogs and puppies. Although I don't have a fenced yard, I do have miles of walking trails and parks in the community, as well as an electronic fence for any dogs that need unrestricted access to a yard. I am fully retired and spend my days caring for your pets. Rarely will your important pet be left alone, if at all. I used Rover with my senior dog, Tucker, for over 5 years and met some wonderful people. It was a relief to me when I traveled, knowing my best friend was also enjoying his time in a safe, loving home. Now I meet new animal friends every week, and it feeds my soul and theirs. Your fur baby will have a dedicated sleeping space, feeding space, and unlimited access to our yard, depending on your needs. Full access to the entire house. I encourage you to bring toys, pet beds, crates, and any other items that will make your cherished pet comfortable. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. Note: we have an unfenced yard but use sound/ vibration to alert your pup if s/he is trying to escape. No electricity involved, just moderate stimulation. Most dogs learn the boundaries very quickly and without any discomfort.

About: I finished my bachelors degree at Sacramento State and find myself with free time before starting my career and I want to use this time to take excellent care of your pets. I have experience anywhere from raising puppies or kittens to taking care of older dogs that need more help and assistance. Rover provides me with an amazing opportunity to meet you and provide your pets with an abundance of care, attention, and love. I am happy to tell you more about myself and I encourage you to ask any and all questions you need to feel more comfortable with hiring me to care for your animals. Im currently in between jobs right now and have the ability to stay with your animal and give them the level of attention they need. Many neighbors friends and family members have trusted me with the all around care of their pets. Whether it be through sitting or walking I have vast experience with animals! About: I am a college student who misses her pets at home and wants to spend time with others here! I have a special place in my heart for cattle dogs and pit bulls as well as cats and unusual animals (rats, anyone?). Growing up I frequently cared for my neighbors' pets as well as my own Aussie, cats, rabbit, and birds ensuring that all are clean, fed, watered, and happy. Now I'm doing the same thing with my fish, and hope to soon expand to your best friend! Due to the college life, I have a strict schedule but promise to do my utmost to maintain flexibility and faithfulness. Typically, I will have time in both mornings and afternoons to visit your best friends; it all depends on which days are free. I will work with you to ensure that your friends are safe and protected until you get back! I have experience with dogs who have attachment issues and need extra protection and care when their Person is gone and will always treat them with the utmost respect and care.

About: I have been pet sitting for friends/neighbors since I was 12 years old. I grew up on a farm & raised dogs and kittens. This naturally led to a love of animals-- my first job was at a vet hospital where I stayed for several years & trained to become a vet tech. In this role, I also house & pet sat for clients. Please let your pets keep me company! I have plenty of time on my hands for pet sitting & dog walking. I am a dog mom to a tenderhearted 9 year old golden cocker, and 8 year old orange tabby. I am trained in medication administration (oral and subcutaneous) and first aid. At this time I am unable to host your pet in my home. But I can do daytime drop in visits and walks at your home. I cannot do overnight at this time. Local requests only please. I have a flexible schedule to fit your pets' needs. I can design my day around needing to arrive at your home for specific feeding or walk times as needed. I can come to your home for pet sitting and/or dog walking services. When I walk with a dog, they are always on leash. When I watch your pets, I am here to attend to their needs and your requests. I am very attuned to animals’ needs and how they communicate. I love to curl up on the couch and snuggle your fur baby if that’s what they want. I’m also just as happy to get on the floor to play with your pet, whether that’s with their toys, laser pointer, etc.
