About: We are a family full of love for pets! My Husband has volunteered at Sammies Friends walking dogs, and at home we have three indoor-outdoor cats, and a Chihuahua named Bella who’s 10 (my Daughter’s). We had to put down our 14-year-old chocolate lab named Yotis a few years ago, and was my Husband’s best friend! My Son’s 12 year old German Shepard Zani passed a couple years ago as well, and she was the best dog addition to this family. We have always had dogs and cats in the home, and all are friends with each other and they each have unique personalities! We have a dog park nearby as well! The oldest cat I have had was a tabby named Chica, and got her at 8 weeks old when I was 16, and she was 15 when she passed!!! Our pets are our fur family and we love them all!!! Kids are all grown up now, and my Husband is gone a lot as a Fire Captain, so I am more than willing and available to housesit dogs and/or cats in your home. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and pets. My Husband works 3 days on, 4 days off and likes to help with your pets as well. He is a Dog Whisperer, and I am the Cat Lady! We love taking nature walks, and have both been on Rover since before COVID in 2019. I am available at any time due to my kids being older now, amd we don’t currently have a dog of our own. I love getting out of the house and exploring new neighborhoods and areas especially during Spring and summer. We have resided in Nevada County for decades! We don’t dog board due to having too many household members and pets already, but in your home they are taken care of exactly how they should be. With compassion and love.

Young and old, breeds do not scare me nor does certain behaviors! I have lots of experience. About: Since 2023, my paid experience has included overnight and daytime home stays, for up to 24 hours at a time or weekly. I have passed numerous background checks as an elementary school substitute teacher. So I have full availability overnight, on weekends, and for extended periods between Nevada County and Placer County. I usually stay a week or more with fur babies. You can relax knowing I am keeping the utmost care and safety of your animals and home. References on request. I want to clarify during our visit if you need care at the 2-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour interval beyond the overnight stay of 7 pm to 7 am. Communication is key! I will send daily pictures or updates. For best prevention, talking about the details with the owner and ground rules produces the best results. Topics will include where the pet feels most comfortable such a calm spaces or crating procedures. I make sure to go over emergency contacts and preferred clinics. Also, I keep a clean environment that ensures the safety of pets for food handling.

When I was about 12 I started to train CCI dogs and I love it so much! I have trained 4 dogs already. I am very familiar with giving pets medication if needed. I love being able to care for others pets because of how much I love my own. I want to provide you with the most thoughtful and loving care to your pets! I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to care for your pups! I do have some school obligations but those are also only two days a week for minimal hours. About: Been a proud owner of goats, cats, chickens, reptiles and dogs. I've had experience in the veterinary field, worked with and cared for livestock and house pets. I am currently working full time as a CNA, my schedule is kinda wacky. I work PM shifts from 2:30pm-10:30pm, on a four on and two off rotation. In my own home I have reptiles and three cats and one older dog around. If your pet is staying with me or I’m keeping them company in your own home, I always am engaging with the pet. Any opportunity to play and have some fun, we’re doing it! If they’re more laid back and want to snooze next to me, I will relax with them.

I love cats, but I want to watch them in your home, not mine. Happy to house-sit, work overnight shifts, and care for senior dogs and puppies. Although I don't have a fenced yard, I do have miles of walking trails and parks in the community, as well as an electronic fence for any dogs that need unrestricted access to a yard. I am fully retired and spend my days caring for your pets. Rarely will your important pet be left alone, if at all. I used Rover with my senior dog, Tucker, for over 5 years and met some wonderful people. It was a relief to me when I traveled, knowing my best friend was also enjoying his time in a safe, loving home. Now I meet new animal friends every week, and it feeds my soul and theirs. Your fur baby will have a dedicated sleeping space, feeding space, and unlimited access to our yard, depending on your needs. Full access to the entire house. I encourage you to bring toys, pet beds, crates, and any other items that will make your cherished pet comfortable. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. Note: we have an unfenced yard but use sound/ vibration to alert your pup if s/he is trying to escape. No electricity involved, just moderate stimulation. Most dogs learn the boundaries very quickly and without any discomfort.
