“I am writing this review on behalf of Grant with the hopes of putting you at ease about choosing him to take care of you pet. I have boarded a few dogs now while I was on vacation in the past twenty years or so. Up until now I have alway felt a little uncomfortable and guilty doing so. During our vacations I caught myself wondering how my dogs were doing. Most facilities would take your phone calls and they would always tell me, your dogs doing fine, they are very happy. I'm not sure they would tell me anything different anyway. This time I did some research and found Grant, he seemed to have more reviews than anyone. They seemed to be all 5 star and his country setting seemed perfect. I reached out to Grant and he agreed to let me bring my young French Pointer up to see his facility. Grant was extremely friendly and you can tell he is a dog lover. I was very surprised day one of my vacation to get a text from Grant about Flynn along with pictures. Grant texted me daily with pictures and or videos of Flynn every day of my trip. For once I felt like my dog was on vacation too. Grant is very user friendly and gave me a great deal of comfort knowing Flynn was in good hands. I hope this review helps you choose Grant, He will be Flynn's new home away from home”

About: We absolutely love animals, and want to share our home and fenced yard with your pooch. We understand what it’s like to leave your dog with someone else while you’re away; we will treat your dog like a member of our family. I (Diana) grew up on a farm with lots of different animals and dogs, and understand how each one has their own fantastic personality. Just let me know what they need, and I can do it. We’ve had puppies, older dogs, big dogs, small dogs, and everything in between! My tween/teen kids are kind and fun with animals, and will provide even more love and attention for your dog while they stay with us. Thank you for trusting us with your favorite furry buddy! We primarily work from home so we can spend a lot of quality time with your dog. We have a Newfoundland-poodle mix of our own, so our daily routine is already focused on dog care (feeding, walking, letting outside, etc). Just let me know what your dog needs! We also have goats, chickens, outdoor cats, and a couple of feral peacocks that hang around the property. It’s a pet paradise. 😊 We have a large fenced yard and a big goofball named Hoagie to keep your doggy company. We will love and care for your dog as if he/she was our own, because that’s what we would expect for Hoagie while we’re away. We have extra pet beds, food and water dishes, etc. Our yard is perfect for a game of fetch, a sunbathing session, playtime with Hoagie, or just a great sniff. We’re happy to have your dog sleep in one of our bedrooms, take them for walks, and give them all the love.

Hailey not only accommodated my last minute plans so I could still go on my trip, I completely messed up the booking and she had no clue problems accommodating this as well. About: I grew up around dogs my entire life, we’ve always had various pets in our household from bunnies, rats, ferrets to German Shepard’s, pit bulls and chihuahuas. I’m always home on the weekends, usually just chilling in bed watching movies, or go for a nice walk on the beach or in downtown. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions! *Please do not book with me if your dog cannot be left alone during the day. I work from 6a-3p during the week and I have a small apartment so I cannot have them barking the entire time I’m gone. Thank you for understanding* I do work during the weekdays but I work close to my home so I can always come home on my lunch to give midday potty breaks if needed. I have a consistent schedule and am usually home by 3/4pm. Dogs are kept separated when I am not home and I also have 24/7 camera on my apartment so I can always keep an eye on the dogs when I’m not there.

He is the one who she will be caring for on future visits so she has been given him time to decide if he likes her. About: I grew up on a large family farm with all kinds of animals. We recently had two senior Shih Tzu's that each had their own special needs. After the loss, we are ready to open our home to new pups! We love all dogs and animals of all kinds. Our property is a large 3 acres. Our large backyard is fenced. We enjoy hiking and long walks. My husband works from home so there's someone always here for potty breaks, snuggles and treats. We do have one friendly, easygoing cat. Your dog must be comfortable around cats. We are happy to give medications or whatever special needs that you might require. My husband works from home and we are generally homebody people. I work about 32 hours a work. I am usually at work at 10 am and home by 5:30 pm. Our cat is self-sufficient and has his own bathroom space with his automatic food feeder and litter box. This limits dogs from being cat box curious.

I am very aware of my environment to keep the dog safe from others and feel a private area is best for dogs while under my care. About: We are a family full of love for pets! My Husband has volunteered at Sammies Friends walking dogs, and at home we have three indoor-outdoor cats, and a Chihuahua named Bella who’s 10 (my Daughter’s). We had to put down our 14-year-old chocolate lab named Yotis a few years ago, and was my Husband’s best friend! My Son’s 12 year old German Shepard Zani passed a couple years ago as well, and she was the best dog addition to this family. We have always had dogs and cats in the home, and all are friends with each other and they each have unique personalities! We have a dog park nearby as well! The oldest cat I have had was a tabby named Chica, and got her at 8 weeks old when I was 16, and she was 15 when she passed!!! Our pets are our fur family and we love them all!!! Kids are all grown up now, and my Husband is gone a lot as a Fire Captain, so I am more than willing and available to housesit dogs and/or cats in your home. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and pets. My Husband works 3 days on, 4 days off and likes to help with your pets as well. He is a Dog Whisperer, and I am the Cat Lady! We love taking nature walks, and have both been on Rover since before COVID in 2019. I am available at any time due to my kids being older now, amd we don’t currently have a dog of our own. I love getting out of the house and exploring new neighborhoods and areas especially during Spring and summer. We have resided in Nevada County for decades! We don’t dog board due to having too many household members and pets already, but in your home they are taken care of exactly how they should be. With compassion and love.

My own dog is small, calm, and well-behaved so he is not to worry about when interacting with your pet in my home during doggy daycare. The other dog I live with barks upon first meeting but otherwise does not act out. For day care: The house is large as is the backyard with plenty of room to run around. There is no fence but neither backyards flanking ours have dogs, if that is a concern. My family has no qualms about dogs on furniture so if your baby is a couch potato he/she is more than welcome. I do ask you bring your own leashes, food bowls, and food for your dog for day care. For sitting you can trust me to be prudent, responsible, caring, and dedicated to your pet's wellbeing, as well as respectful of your home's interior and exterior. I can bathe short-hair and medium-hair dogs up to 30 lbs as long as you have a detachable shower wand and your dog is not allergic to the chemicals in dog shampoo. Pricing depends on the size of your dog and extent of services requested. ≤10lbs = $10; >10lbs = $1 per pound (15lbs = $15 and so on).

About: I’ve grown up primarily with large dogs, those dogs smaller alongside feline friends as cared for by my grandfather and I before his passing. About: I grew up in Hawai'i with 3 sweet, older pits, pretending to eat grass as one of the pack. Always looked forward to playing with friends dogs after school and taking them to the beach with us. My first job at 12 years old was puppy sitting my neighbors golden retriever, I was hooked! About: I started taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs after retiring in 2024. My lifelong love for cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes is now my daily passion! As an active retiree, I don't have any pets currently, and the house is empty and waiting for my next furry friend! I've cared for everything from dachshunds to a Bernese Mountain Dog. Although I don't have a fenced yard, I do have miles of walking trails and parks in the community, as well as an electronic fence for any dogs that need unrestricted access to a yard. I am fully retired and spend my days caring for your pets. Rarely will your important pet be left alone, if at all. I used Rover with my senior dog, Tucker, for over 5 years and met some wonderful people. It was a relief to me when I traveled, knowing my best friend was also enjoying his time in a safe, loving home. Now I meet new animal friends every week, and it feeds my soul and theirs. Your fur baby will have a dedicated sleeping space, feeding space, and unlimited access to our yard, depending on your needs. Full access to the entire house. I encourage you to bring toys, pet beds, crates, and any other items that will make your cherished pet comfortable. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. Note: we have an unfenced yard but use sound/ vibration to alert your pup if s/he is trying to escape. No electricity involved, just moderate stimulation. Most dogs learn the boundaries very quickly and without any discomfort.
About: I finished my bachelors degree at Sacramento State and find myself with free time before starting my career and I want to use this time to take excellent care of your pets. I have boarded a few dogs now while I was on vacation in the past twenty years or so. Up until now I have alway felt a little uncomfortable and guilty doing so. During our vacations I caught myself wondering how my dogs were doing. Most facilities would take your phone calls and they would always tell me, your dogs doing fine, they are very happy. I'm not sure they would tell me anything different anyway. This time I did some research and found Grant, he seemed to have more reviews than anyone. They seemed to be all 5 star and his country setting seemed perfect. I reached out to Grant and he agreed to let me bring my young French Pointer up to see his facility. Grant texted me daily with pictures and or videos of Flynn every day of my trip. For once I felt like my dog was on vacation too. We have extra pet beds, food and water dishes, etc. Our yard is perfect for a game of fetch, a sunbathing session, playtime with Hoagie, or just a great sniff. Hailey not only accommodated my last minute plans so I could still go on my trip, I completely messed up the booking and she had no clue problems accommodating this as well. About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been cat sitting for a friend for the passed 3 years. I can handle giving medication and large dogs. I'm a Preschool Teacher during the day looking to help where I can. 😊 I work Monday through Friday, however I'm off fairly early at 3:30pm everyday so afternoons, evenings, and weekends are free. I have no pets anymore so they will have all the attention! There is a lovely creek that runs through my complex for walks and plenty of toys and energy! And for the older furr babies they are more than welcome on the furniture for cuddles. I also have treats if they are okay for their diet 😊 I have experience with giving medication as well if need be.
