About: New to pet sitting but have a life-time of experience with dogs. Dogs seem to respond to me easily and favorably. I enjoy caring for dogs. I am fully retired so my schedule can be very flexible. I will try at all times to accomodate a client especially if a short notice request is made. I will only house sit dogs in a clients house. I will care for the dogs feeding, all necessary walks, and of course some play time.

“Alex is great with Emmy and lets her lead (stubborn girl!). He also is really responsive and flexible - great to work with to care for our somewhat reactive dog.”

About: Hi I'm Mae! I've been working with animals for the past 3 years now and have had animals of my own my entire life. I attended a technical high school specifcally to learn about training and understanding animals. Throughout my last two years there I trained a Golden Retriever to pass the Canine Good Citezens Test and now have continued to train my own rescue dog as well. Currently, I work part time at a dog daycare/boarding/training facility and majoring in Animal Behavior at UNE. As it is summer right now my schedule is pretty flexible. Due to my current part-time job as well as a summer class, I will only be available for drop in visits and walks. I'm used to taking care of all levels of energy in dogs. My first dog was pretty mellow and shy where as my current dog is super high energy and has a high prey drive. I love taking care of my friends animals (dogs and cats) when they go away and even sometimes teaching them some new tricks ;). I love to go outside and get exercise so the more energy to tire out the better!

About: I owned my own Boxer, Ava, for 9 years. She recently passed away and so I am looking to share my love, compassion and support to dog owners seeking companionship and enrichment activity for their dog. Since I work full-time, I am available to watch your dog during the weekends I am able to. Need a break from your dog so you can enjoy “me” time or have a nice weekend? Then reach out and contact me! I am a huge animal lover and therefore I am available to assist with daily activities (feeding, medications, potty time) and enrichment (walk & play time) including overnight boarding. I will accept 2 dogs at the same time if they are from the same family (additional service rate would apply). I am a home owner that provides a 'cozy' and healthy environment. I have a backyard as well as two large front yards and live in a nice area in Arundel. I will always have your dog on a long leash to allow him/her to roam safely with me tagging along. I am someone who is very structured and believe that providing consistency & structure to a dog is very important. I do not believe in striking or hitting any animal no matter the reason. I will treat your dog with care like it is my own.

“Lauren is an amazing caregiver. She worked with me to take care of my large puppy while I was in the ER and relieved my stress of her being home. Would highly recommend and use her again.”

About: My best friend growing up was my golden retriever Sam—he was my buddy for 13 years. I now have had my current best friends (2 dachshunds!) for 10 years. I’ve had experience with nervous dogs and calm dogs; active dogs and couch-potato dogs. I also like to say hi to dogs who approach me on the street! I love dogs and I get so much enjoyment out of walking and snuggling them— it’s like therapy for me. Feeding and playing with them is also high on my list of things that I absolutely love. I’m available for walks, overnights, drop in food and play sessions and pee breaks! Feel free to reach out and inquire about hiring me to take care of you fur babies! My mom Amy, fiancee Abby and I all pet sit together! One or all of us is available any time with some amount of notice! Same day notice is a little bit harder to accommodate but we can usually make that work as well! Dog and cat sitting is a full time job for my mom and I work from home for part of the day every day. Abby and I do the overnights and Amy’s favorite part is coming in for the midday (or any time of day!!) snuggles, games of fetch or ball, and treat giving! We are very respectful of other people's space and homes. We follow every instruction given to or asked of us for taking care of the home and your babies. The goal too, is always to leave your space equal or better than how we found it!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I was a veterinary technician for 20 years before I became a stay at home mom to my daughter, Jordan I love this opportunity on Rover, because it joins my two favorite things—animals and the outdoors. This is a great way for me to teach my daughter animal husbandry. I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible. My daughter usually tags along with me. She is also an animal lover. I currently do not own any pets so I am free to take care of other animals. If I need to check on an animal, I usually spend about an hour with them. (Letting them out, feeding and watering, snuggling). If I am walking, I will walk for an hour. Or an agreed time frame.

About: Just a human coming from childhood life around purebreds protecting me as a baby; Newfoundlands, Labradors and Dalmatians and quickly learning on farm land as a child that animals are so strong with love and protection. I continued to be surrounded and working with pups and cats and so many animals my life. I am here on the earth to support those families with their dogs, cats, domestic and exotic pets and farm animals coming from experience in childhood, adolescence and adulthood supporting those with amazing animals on their property. I have experienced training and also supporting the strength and weakness of your pets. My schedule is beyond flexible from 8am through 7pm with willingness to adjust, Monday through Friday and also available on the weekends based on scheduling ahead of time. And I can coordinate vacations if your family decides to travel as I’ve also done in-home caretaking. Again, I’m flexible however, I’m a mom first so I need to coordinate some type of schedule. I am available to watch your pets at your home currently, no space or area in my home. However, I have a valid driver’s license and clear and fully legal criminal background my entire life which I’m happy to share and willing to bring your pet for walks on trails and/or to dog parks.

“Meira is wonderful! She is a kind soul who I knew I could immediately trust with my best four-legged fur friend. I will have her walk Ellie any time. ?”

Lauren T.Star Sitter

“Lauren is an amazing caregiver. She worked with me to take care of my large puppy while I was in the ER and relieved my stress of her being home. Would highly recommend and use her again.”

Aria N.
“I am pleased to recommend Aria! She spent a very successful long weekend at home with two big dogs — one mine and one belonging to my daughter. Neither dog is temperamentally suited to being boarded outside the home; the two of them are quirky in different ways but they both LOVED Aria! These two dogs don’t ordinarily live together, and Aria had no problem juggling their varied needs. She supplied enough exercise and engagement to suit each of them. She communicated with me frequently, sending photos of their activities. She transported my younger dog, who suffers from anxiety, to day care; the daycare provider commented on how comfortable my dog was with Aria. I will be traveling again for a longer period in a few months. Knowing Aria is “on the job” will allow me to enjoy the trip without concern for my anxious pup. I can recommend Aria without reservation.”

Lauren P.
“I have several dogs and Lauren is sweet and loving to all of them. She has stayed with my dogs overnight, taken them on Vet visits, fed them and administered medication if needed and cuddles and loves on them all but her love for my 15 year old Finn goes above and beyond. She's excellent with any age dog and has a real affinity for the older pups. I'm glad to have Lauren on my team in the care of my sweet four legged family members!”

Candace J.
“Candace has been an animal lover her whole life. She has had many pets of her own, always putting their comfort first. She has taken care of our pets for years. She has been a pet sitter for friends since high school. She’s a responsible and loving person. She went to college and graduated as a veterinary technician and worked at Tufts animal hospital for 20 years before marrying and moving to Maine. I cannot recommend anyone higher.”

“Peter was great.”

Taylor M.
“Taylor and I have been friends for over ten years and I can attest that she is a very special person. When she’s not taking care of Oncoloy patients as a nurse practitioner, she loves taking her dog, Archie, on adventures to the beach or on hikes. Taylor is a very nurturing person at heart- and that has been evident in the many interactions I’ve witnessed with her have with dogs (and humans) over the years. She’s one of those people that dogs just gravitate towards. She is very clean and organized. I know for a fact both you and your pup with love Taylor as much as Archie and I do.”

Abby N.

“Abby was great with our girl, Maddie! Highly recommended!”

Ashley M.Star Sitter
“Ashley took care of my two dogs and two cats last year when my family and I had to be out of town. She made sure both dogs were walked and did their business rather than just quickly letting them out of their kennels and putting them back in. We were very pleased that the animals were well taken care of. Will definitely ask her to help again the next time we need to leave home.”

Hayley H.

“We all love Hayley! Hayley is reliable, conscientious, & super competent! Glad we found her!”

Chris H.

“Chris was always on time and Nala was really comfortable with him”

eleni p.
“Eleni is a true caregiver through and through for animals and humans alike! Knowing Eleni for 20+ years, I would trust her over anyone with my pets. She has been amazing with every pet I’ve ever had, dogs and cats alike. She is always reliable, active, and hardworking. More importantly she is patient, gentle and kind to her core. She truly embodies all the values you would want in someone who is caring for your pet. I can always relax on vacations when I leave Eleni in charge because I know my dog is safe, sound, and having the best time!”

Lindsey B.
