“Our eleven year old lab mix typically has little interest in socializing with other dogs and tends to get anxious when we she stays with a pet sitter, but she loves staying with Jaclyn! On her second stay with Jaclyn, she ran straight to the front steps of the house and stood there wagging her tail while giving us a look that she was ready for her parents to leave so her dog vacation could begin. While we were gone, Jaclyn sent us videos of June playing with the other dogs with a level of enthusiasm we haven't seen in quite some time. We already have June's next stay booked with Jaclyn, and it is great knowing she will be excited to be there!”

“Benji had a great time staying with Nicholas and his family. I know this because Nicholas sent me lots of pictures and I was able to see that Benji was very chill, enjoying tummy rubs, getting along well with Nicholas' other 3 dogs and finding his place to relax right under their desk (just like he does at home). Benji has a sensitive stomach and often doesn't eat for the first couple of days. When his appetite did pick up, Nicholas was careful to make sure that Benji ate only his special food and that kept his GI track working properly! On the day of our return, our pickup time had to be delayed because of a flight change, but this was not a problem at all for Nicholas. We will definitely reach out to Nicholas the next time that we have need for a pet sitter.”

“A big thank you to Trisha & Dan for taking such excellent care of Casey while we were away for 9 days, over Thanksgiving. Since Casey is older and has only stayed with family or friends for the last 13+ years, we were a little hesitant to leave him with just anyone and a kennel was not an option at his age. We found Trisha and Dan through Rover.com and the entire process was simply fantastic. Even with Casey being better than 90% deaf at this point, this was not an issue. We were able to meet Trisha before we made the reservation, to determine our and Casey’s comfort levels. In a word, we felt like they would be the right people to leave Casey with. Casey as well felt right at home during the meet and greet visit and got along great with Stout, Trisha & Dan’s dog. Drop off day came and when I brought Casey over, he “made himself right at home,” much to my dismay. Well, after that, Casey had a fantastic time. The photos we received made us feel so much better and they told the story, Casey just having a wonderful time. It even looked like he helped cook, although I am sure he was simply hoping Dan would drop his dinner. Casey slept on Stouts bed and Stout slept on Casey’s bed and both looked natural and relaxed. When we picked Casey up, he seemed sad and he did not want to leave. He slept all the next day and part if not most of the next day. Casey looked around for his new little friend Stout and he clearly misses him and the fun that they had together. We will be definitely requesting Trisha, Dan and Stout again in the future for all of Casey’s overnight stays as the comfort and confidence they provide was, in a word, incredible. Thank you again for the fantastic care and love Casey received. See you soon. ”

I had useful feedback from the visit (my dog was fine with her cat—(and dogs)—though she has had very little exposure to cats—so it appears vibes are what count with Frances. ) Hannah was friendly even when I changed my time plans on the actual day, oh-so-gently informing me she would definitely modify whenever she could, but she was dealing as well with other customers’ sometimes conflicting schedules. Before I had cats, I had a Belgian Malinois/Australian Shepherd mix, so that's just to say I am also experienced with some of the more high energy and higher maintenance breeds. I have a good amount of availability these days. I currently set my own schedule of taking care of pets, and teaching private ballet lessons. I would offer dedicated care and attention to your pet while you are away. I'm happy to spend time playing or interacting with them as well as covering their other necessary needs ie. food, water, medications, bathroom breaks, or litter box cleaning.
