“Kari and her mom are amazing! My pup did so well and had no issues when he came home. I appreciated Kari's prompt communication and sending photos. A very smooth test run. Will use her again in the future.”

“We left Hank with Danielle for an entire week while on vacation and she was excellent! So communicative, sent so many pictures and really made us feel at ease being away from our fur baby. She truly treats him as one of her own!”

“Brandi and her family did a wonderful job watching Ginger, our miniature poodle. They have a beautiful home and yard. Brandi’s girls are very sweet and kind. We received regular updates and Ginger was quite comfortable with them. We will be booking with Brandi again!”

“Jen watched our Boston terrier for 13 days while on vacation. She sent us pictures routinely and kept us informed on how she was doing. We felt very comforted knowing she was in great hands. Highly recommend her!!!!”

“Julia is FANTASTIC. If you're on the fence at all, this is your sign to take the leap. It is so hard to leave my fur babies with anyone at all, but the entire time (and we were gone 8 days!) I felt comfortable knowing they were well cared for, happy, and had so much attention and affection. She sent pictures of them playing and happily snuggling. Even when one of my two dogs was nervous to start, she took the extra time and space to make her comfortable. She gave me great updates on their eating and moods and I felt so much more comfortable with her than anywhere else. I'll be a repeat customer! My pups love her”

“Jess and her family were amazing with our dog. We went on a 10-day trip and felt very comfortable leaving him with their family after meeting them just once. They accommodated a meet and greet with a quick turnaround, and also hosted him on a holiday weekend. Jess sent daily photos and videos, and we could see our dog was peaceful and happy. They were so great to work with and we will definitely use them again!”

“Crystal was great with communication, and our two pups seemed to be super happy with her and her pup Lincoln. She made everything a breeze, and was great with updates and photos.”

“Kaylee is AMAZING! She went above and beyond taking care of our dog over a long weekend! She did so many different activities with him and sent us multiple pictures and updates every day! We cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of our dog! We highly recommend her and can’t wait to use her again in the future!!”

“Julie takes great care of my older dog, Henry. With a dog door and big back yard, he can go out at will and roll in the grass like he loves to do. Henry likes to hang out with her older dog, and lay on her bed, which she is gracious enough to let him do. I can tell he feels right at home when I leave him with Julie.”

“Kim is a fantastic pet sitter and Pepper certainly seemed to have a nice stay! He loved playing with other dogs in the fenced back yard. We will definitely rebook in the future!”

“Deborah was so welcoming to buster and sent a bunch of update pictures so I knew that he was doing well while I was away! Responsive and flexible with schedules!”

“5-Star Review for Denae! Amazing Rover Sitter! Denae was fantastic caring for Willow at her home for a week. She sent daily photos and updates. Willow looked so happy! She let her cuddle with her, which is so important! Warm, reliable, and truly loves dogs. Already rebooking! 🐾”

“DeAnn and her family took great care of Etta while we went on vacation. DeAnn provided daily updates with pictures, which we appreciated very much and were very comforting for us to see how Etta was so happy in her care. We will definitely use DeAnn again.”

“Gina and Brett are outstanding! They have a beautiful house and the kids were so great with our dog! The really treated Pepper like family for her stay and I can’t recommend them enough.”

“Jenna did an amazing job with Gumbo. I could tell right from the start that she was a great dog sitter. She let Gumbo in to her house and let him sniff around and get used to her, the house and then her 2 dogs. She constantly sent cute pictures and it was obvious that Gumbo was having a great time. And when our plane was delayed 5 hours she was more than accommodating to keeping Gumbo for another night. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jenna!!”

“Anna and Donald were excellent hosts to our two dogs and made them extremely comfortable. They were attentive to their individual needs and provided ongoing updates throughout their stay. We look forward to using their boarding services again.”

“Brenda was an amazing dog sitter and I would recommend her to everyone reading this review. She was very responsive, provided photos/updates, and cared after our dog as well as anyone could. She will definitely be our go-to!”

“Matthew was absolutely wonderful with Oliver. He was attentive and responsive. His communication was perfect. He took time to play and entertain Oliver so he felt comfortable. Would definitely book again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ken Caryl
Kim is amazing! She’s communicative, kind, and attentive. She kept me updated with messages and photos of Indie, and he seemed very happy during his stay. He even made friends with another pup! It was his first time staying with Kim, and I felt he was in good hands while we were away.

My dog had a great time on his stay with Kari! I will definitely leave Saki there again. Kari and her mother are very sweet and kind. Kari’s home is near my house, a bonus. They have a good fenced yard. Everything is neat and clean. Kari sent frequent updates with pictures and a video.

Anghelie is amazing! Plenty of updates, pictures, and videos. My boys always looked happy. They were given lots of exercise, played ball, and more. I have two moderately large dogs and they handled them like champs. Highly recommend. I would love to book with her again ☺️

Robert and Jenn were great!! Felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with them for an overnight stay. They are dog lovers which is very obvious. They took our dogs for walks, played with them and gave them a lot of attention. They sent pictures assuring that our dogs were happy and having a good time. I’d highly recommend them and we will certainly use them again next time we’re in the Littleton, CO area!
Jennifer and her fam were the best sitters we’ve ever used on rover! We don’t have to leave our dog behind very often, so when we do it’s always a little nerve wracking, especially as she is getting older and more particular. Jennifer was super accommodating with our last minute booking, she allowed for an outdoor and off leash meet and greet, and her two personal dogs are wonderful. Jennifer gave daily check-ins (surprisingly an issue we’ve had with past sitters) and was quick to respond. We will definitely use her again if we have to leave our dog behind.

Kammie had a great time at Denae's house! I received photos and updates while gone. Kammie made a "sleepaway camp" buddy while there and got to play a lot. Denae is so nice and caring. I totally trust her with my sweet girl and will book again for the next trip. I almost feel like I should travel so Kammie can go to "camp".

Deborah always takes amazing care of our pup. We have used her for years and Clara is always in good hands - doesn't matter if there are fireworks or thunderstorms or she needs to be given medicine, she is always wonderfully taken care of. And she loves playing with the other dogs that stay there!

By far the best sitter I've had on Rover! Kaylee and her partner were so wonderful with my dog. The updates and pictures while we were on vacation kept our minds at ease and ensured that he was being taken care of! We will definitely be using her going forward for any sitting needs - highly recommend!

Julie takes great care of my older dog, Henry. With a dog door and big back yard, he can go out at will and roll in the grass like he loves to do. Henry likes to hang out with her older dog, and lay on her bed, which she is gracious enough to let him do. I can tell he feels right at home when I leave him with Julie.

Margi and her family have been so wonderful with our dog, Flint! She sends regular updates and photos, which we love, and it’s clear that he gets a lot of attention and companionship. We feel so comfortable knowing he is loved and well cared for while we’re away. We highly recommend her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ken Caryl home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ken Caryl.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ken Caryl sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
